‘Starting Over’ woke me from a deep sleep during lockdown when I left the TV on a Country Video station…and I couldn’t get it out of my head.
This man and his beloved wife Morgane are both talented beyond words, with backing bands that have journeyed alongside them…
Great song to start your channel…the Stapletons are going to thrill us for quite a while I think…they’re just incredible.
We are witnessing a new beginning of Country/Folk/Soul GOLD right now…

IMO, Chris Stapleton is a generational triple threat; singer, songwriter, musician. He is a storyteller's storyteller - which is what country music is all about. He can play it all too; blues, bluegrass, rock, soul, etc. Buckle up! The Stapleton train will take you on a grand journey. His Bing Lounge recording of "Sometimes I Cry" will blow your mind.

Chris Stapleton is married to singer-songwriter Morgane Stapleton, who co-wrote Carrie Underwood's 2006 single "Don't Forget to Remember Me". She had a recording deal with Arista Nashville. The couple met when they were working at adjacent publishing houses and married in 2007. They have five children and live in Nashville. In October 2017, the couple announced they were expecting twins. On April 15, 2018, (Stapleton's 40th birthday), host Reba McEntire announced live on the 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards that twin boys had been born to the Stapletons.[ At his concert at Madison Square Garden on November 2, 2018, Stapleton announced that he and his wife were expecting their fifth child; he repeated the announcement at the Country Music Association awards on November 18, 2018. On April 28, 2019, he appeared as an extra in the HBO series Game of Thrones episode "The Long Night" as a wight. On May 12, 2019, Morgane and Chris welcomed their fifth child, a baby boy, into their family. He also had a dog named Maggie, which appears on his latest release "Starting Over".

His wife Morgane sings back up on most of his songs. Her voice is amazing! We are missing out on her not doing a solo album. Also I think Chris needs to change his band name to The Stapletons. ❤

That lady is Chris’s wife, Morgane. She sings backup/harmonies on most of his songs. Chris is not your standard country artist. He’s got southern rock, blues, and soul to his sound. He just gets lumped in with the country genre even though he’s kind of his own genre.

You can not go wrong with any of his music, but definitely only do live when you can. He will blow you away. My favorites are I Was Wrong live at Austin City Limits (and his Tennessee Whiskey at the same concert), What Are You Listening To, Sometimes I Cry live at the Bing Lounge, and an amateur video version of Barely Alive. Also check out his wife Morgane in You Are My Sunshine. Oh! And both of them at the Grand Ol' Opry singing Amanda. Sorry, there's so much that he puts out that is amazing, it's hard to choose one or two! :) There's so many more good ones!

I had a very different idea of what country music was when I started this journey and can’t believe what I’m finding out so far from just listening to Chris, Eric and the Lukes! Can’t wait to find out what is next! 😃

I've been a fan of Chris Stapleton's for decades. What brought him to my attention was Adele's "If it hadn't been for love" which he wrote. He was with a bluegrass band called the Steeldrivers who did some MAD great music including that song. They won awards. Check them out sometime if you want to be impressed.

This is actually one of my top choices for him. Usually, reactors get to this song eventually but I'm so happy you started with this one!!! TN Whiskey is a logical next choice (prefer the live version from Austin City Limits) but I happen to LOVE "Sometimes I Cry" Live @ the Bing Lounge!! You kinda picked the best artist to begin with... Chris is in a class of his own. It's hard to categorize him as just a country artist... very blues-y with a ton of soul to boot!

After the 90's to early 2000's Country music in general for my enjoyment went too much to a pop sound.

Stapleton is a breath of fresh air to country music as so much has converted to a pop/rap formulaic sound. If you want views on a video first watch Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire when he was younger followed by Hurt, a cover of the rock band 9 Inch Nails. One other is A Country Boy Can Survive by Hank Williams Jr, they will bring you views, you;'ll enjoy the songs and all will give you a deeper dive into the roots of country, not this modern cliché garbage about dirt roads, tailgates, moonlight and beer.
I will get these added to the list and can’t wait to check them out! Thank you for suggesting them! I’m finding that country music seems to have many different levels and directions within it and I’m excited to find out more!
