Background on the song:
This was a song that came together after I was messing around with guitar chords on the couch. The very first two chords in the song came to me randomly and I loved the feel of them together. Shortly after, my dad and I kind of jammed a little bit with the song idea that I put together. He helped arrange a bit of it. I remember initially not liking the chorus melody, but it grew on me as it came back to really hit hard in the last chorus. It immediately struck me as a Psalm 13 song. In fact, I was singing "How Lon O Lord" before I even remembered which chapter and verse it came from. I knew I had to pull the lyrics from that Scripture. The second verse comes from Psalm 22. Such a powerful verse as this is what Jesus quoted on the cross - the Jewish people witnessing His crucifixion would have known it as well as we know "Amazing Grace". And if they would have just kept singing they would have realized who was hanging on that cross. The Messiah, King of Kings.
It was only after the demo was complete, I showed it to Taylor and he said, "lemme hop on this". And that's when it really started coming to life. So in the end, here's who is on the track:

Love this song! Thank you for sharing. You have a real gift, and I sincerely hope you will keep using it to the glory of God. In my estimation, too much of modern CCM music is vapid, shallow, or gratuitously repetitive, which is lamentable. Putting Scripture to music is so uplifting and enriching, especially when the music captures much of the emotion and heart behind the words, like you do. Your Job 38 song was what made me subscribe to your channel, initially, because it spoke so much to me and had me in tears. You really can't get more powerful words than the Scriptures.
