Background on the song:
My dad, older brother, and I wrote and recorded this in one afternoon in February 2024. As we were writing, we were reminded of an old tape recording that we once heard from my dad's grandmother (my great-grandmother named Ma Valley). We decided to go searching for it as it inspired the first few lines of the song. So while my brother and I never had the chance to meet her down here, we know we will get to someday in that promised land.
This song starts off with that old tape recording...
