Lyrics: The once was a king Who live a palace uphill He had three beautiful daughters They had no free will The king sold his soul To the devil yes indeed In return he was promised Wealth and life eternally The devil came riding one day Upon his blackened horse The princesses was his aim They were destined to run his course One of the girls were tall More beautiful than blue skies Her hair was colored bright And she had white marble eyes She will die [Sung backwards:] (Her sisters they were weak They fell for the devil's charms Mesmerizing eyes They went right into his arms Afraid to look around The bright girl ran away One last glance And she saw her sisters pray.) The king he sat alone And listened to the sound He rest upon his throne While the palace hang on the ground
I want them to make a movie about wizards dragons knights and mythological creatures kind of like narnia mixed with lord of rings but with weed and shrooms and wars and shit and witchcraft and electric wizard to collaborate and do all the music that would be sick as fuck!
Her sisters they were weak They fell for the devil's charms Mesmerizing eyes They went right into his arms Afraid to look around The bright girl ran away One last glance And she saw her sisters pray.
i fuckin love this shit man..just started listening to witchcraft's older stuff like this recently. very jethro tull-ish and black sabbath-esque..fuck yeah \m/

Dude! I swear, I knew it was japanese, I recognized the melody, but its a little different... Wow, thank you! Im half japanese, and my grandma from japan loves that song, and sings it sometimes.. Such a beautiful tune... Honestly, actually, i just listened to the song, it has similar qualities as Sakura, but it is not the actual song. The only similar part is the ascend into the descend. But the actual melody is quite different. My grandma showed me a while back, and it has changed over the years, but not so much that i think that the end could be a reference to that. I always thought it sounded japanese, but I didnt take heed to it that this band from Sweden would take revere to such an esoteric song.
From what I've heard of this band they're neither stoner rock nor doom metal, they are rock, just rock as we used to know and love throughout the 1900s.
First 3 albums were absolutely traditional doom...infused with folk and vintage prog. How can anyone listen to the second half of this song and not hear the pure, glorious doom?!
pitcairnviking I can hardly hear it, just sounds like good old heavy metal to me. Doom sure has evolved today though, modern doom metal is one of my favorite genres actually.
Is the song title a reference to Shakespeare? I know that Shakespeare has three witches in _Macbeth_ but I thought I specifically saw "Her sisters, they were weak" in his writings. I just can't find it. Does anyone know?
This was originally called Desert Rock, then people called it Stoner Rock for the rythm was slow and heavy. But this one I wouldn't say is Stoner, more like Doom Rock or Occult Rock.
Bro is that where ive heard it?! I know its been six years but i think you may have helped me find the answer ive been seeking, thank you man. Back down the rabbit hole
+Anthony Sung backwards: (Her sisters they were weak They fell for the devil's charms Mesmerizing eyes They went right into his arms Afraid to look around The bright girl ran away One last glance And she saw her sisters pray.)
I will stick with this phone as you tell me it's the best being that it's the hardest in Obama's and that the broadband is fast but the 4G is just no bars and I'm on Wi-Fi so that's out now
This band feels eerie. Like some great, beautiful darkness is looming overhead.
I am falling in love with this band.
the reversed bit is sinister as hell
It's great isn't it? :)
starface2211 I didn't notice until I saw this comment haha
Is it the ame lyrics
Lyrics:
The once was a king
Who live a palace uphill
He had three beautiful daughters
They had no free will
The king sold his soul
To the devil yes indeed
In return he was promised
Wealth and life eternally
The devil came riding one day
Upon his blackened horse
The princesses was his aim
They were destined to run his course
One of the girls were tall
More beautiful than blue skies
Her hair was colored bright
And she had white marble eyes
She will die
[Sung backwards:]
(Her sisters they were weak
They fell for the devil's charms
Mesmerizing eyes
They went right into his arms
Afraid to look around
The bright girl ran away
One last glance
And she saw her sisters pray.)
The king he sat alone
And listened to the sound
He rest upon his throne
While the palace hang on the ground
I'm pretty sure the last line is "while the palace sank underground"
wonderful daughters?
I want them to make a movie about wizards dragons knights and mythological creatures kind of like narnia mixed with lord of rings but with weed and shrooms and wars and shit and witchcraft and electric wizard to collaborate and do all the music that would be sick as fuck!

Wow, I never noticed that. The musicbox bit at the end is Sakura, a japanese folk song. Good ear, Jesse!
wow i always wondered!!! good ears indeed

Nah, they're retro-doom-psych-folk c:

+Cestarian Inhabitant hey, in the grand scheme labels are useless. Most important thing is we seem to agree this kicks all the ass.
pitcairnviking Aye.
stoner rules heavy doom metal
this is amazing
Heavy
YEAH!
i like this moment, when i think that it's the end of this song and than suprise :) 2:10
lvleskalina it hitsssssss

So good
muy bueno
The guitar reminds me of Eagles-Witchey Women
Loooove it!
mesterverk!
why (stoner) music. I understand the concept, however this music derserves, a lot more recognition, and a more illuminated category. -hs-
The name does not define the genre. If anything, Desert Rock can be used instead.
this doom metal, not stoner (doom) metal
This was originally called Desert Rock, then people called it Stoner Rock for the rythm was slow and heavy. But this one I wouldn't say is Stoner, more like Doom Rock or Occult Rock.
witchcraft is a genre itself, nothing can be compared to this sound in my opinion
Traditional doom. Which is, by textbook definition, infused with occult and esoteric lyrical themes.
It reminds me of manga Berserk universe
that ending sounds alot like a meldoy from an early pokemon game
Bro is that where ive heard it?!
I know its been six years but i think you may have helped me find the answer ive been seeking, thank you man. Back down the rabbit hole
Piston Honda outro.. ;)
So do I!! ;)
This sounds so fucking medieval... looks like a bard reciting poems.
Is this microtonal?
923 p.m. the April 10th Brian USS car Maxx. . .
the end is some sort of japanese traditional song. I heard it in a movie the other day. I was like, "where have I heard this...?"
Holy shit this is amazing its kinda like black sabbath.
I can't find this album anywhere.
+Xavier yes I got it :)
Have you looked under your bed
Luke Johnston Yup, but all I can find is cold biscuits and fish heads!
does anyone know what the backwards part says forward?
anthonymm511 something about how the sisters fell into his arms and how beautiful they were
+Anthony Sung backwards:

Mesmerizing eyes

@@mireiapavonbayley6298 Just tried that out by editing the file, it actually works!!! Sounds stupid cool
Is there any way to play this in reverse to hear what he says in the middle?
Is the ending the traditional japanese song, Sakura?
I thought so too!
ahhh.... Thrice - Music Box?
Dim Papanick yep i got that too Vheissu is a good CD

better audio quality? would rock
+Víscero This record was produced with this quality. 70's equipment. That's what makes it so good.
Personally I enjoy bad audio quality
It's not bad quality, it just isn't over produced. It has all of the charm of a record produced on analog gear: thick and heavy.
I wish it expanded into orchestral and electric rock in the middle.
Ew
So fuckin psychedelic (by that I mean the atmosphere and not the genre)
You know what's more psychedelic than this
+Luke Johnston LSD?
+wraithdragon the goat and your mom
