ShartimusPrime Biography:
Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

well, when they reuse it hundreds of times, that makes sense.

Sick of hasbro
Paying almost $30 for lackluster molds and paints, little no no swappable parts or accessories have become the norm. That’s also a warning sign

I disagree about the upper legs appearing too long. I think he looks more naturally proportioned making him appear tall. I always found a lot of the ML bucks to have short calves and weird long knees that made them look a little stumpy.
It's definitely a figure being judged more on being a standard body then really wanting a Vulcan figure for me.
I like the size. I like the pinless joints. I think they could have pushed the torso further in articulation. Between GI Joe Classified and Power Rangers Lightning Collection. Vulcan could have a more modernized torso. It's a case where this would have been even better if those lines plus RYV Spider-man and Movie Venom didn't exist.
The most recent proper Cyclops I have put the head on this figure until they make a proper new one. It's definitely got a future. It just needs some tweaks.
As for body type. Body builders come in many different shapes and honestly what's realistic vs what looks good for stationary/action poses is all in conflict. Comic book artist don't help as they exaggerate features.
For example do the pecs look too long in the pictures are the end or just while it's in a neutral standing pose?
Good review. Sharp looking figure. Honestly, I'm not sure about the proportions. It looks cool to me but what the hell do I know? It's funny, Anthony from Anthony's Customs has been complaining that upper legs have been too short.
This body have a great visual. No more strange pelvis, but some other problems
We need more figures from the Shi'ar Empire ( especially Deathbird ) , we need some Starjammers , a regular Angel , Banshee , Cypher ( Doug friend ) , Birdbrain , Blob , Avalanche , Destiny , and a Quicksilver in his Green Costume .
These are X-Men Hasbro needs to make ASAP .
The Bucky-Cap mold doesn't need to be replaced. It just needs pinless limbs. They've already made pinless arms with HoX Cyclops and updated the hip articulation to be able to do a full split, which seems to be better than Vulcan's. They just need to make pinless legs. Also bigger feet. And the shoulders need to be put back to their original positions.
It probably needs to be replaced at this point because of mold degradation
Vulcan is my favorite character in marvel he’s so cool and overpowered this was awesome
The pec issue is also exacerbated because the pecs are flat. They need a bit more horizontal definition. Also, yeah Shartimus the upper legs are too long. They way they were sculpted makes them look odd
I think Bucky Cap mold is still perfectly fine.
This new mold has potential, but Hasbro should fix the problems you addressed with the elbows and legs.
I only know a little bit about the character, so I got this figure more for the Bonebreaker parts than I did Vulcan. the mold itself is cool and i don't really see anything wrong with the chest. Maybe it's the butterfly joint that is throwing it off for you? Or how the blue is painted? I'm looking forward to seeing who else they give that body to for characters I do have an interest in. Hopefully they'll do a new Claremont Cyclops on that mold with some effects.
Vulcan can be made into a sick custom figure of Plutonian
Thighs are longer than shins. Hasbro always did the opposite. The problem is they need to be more muscular
Vulcan is really powerful is kinda like a boy version of Phoenix. I really wish the figure came with a new head sculpt.

Hopefully we’ll get a new Bucky Cap figure with this mold, and I’d honestly like to see a Spider-Man with this mold also.
Vulcan has VERY long femurs. His knees are lower than the other two figures' knees and his crotch is a fair bit higher. The reason the chest muscles look odd is because the shoulder joint breaks the sculpt. We just need more torso swivels like the Herald Thor figure. This figure was a natural choice for that joint because his red/blue paint almost exactly matches a torso cut. This feels like an $8 Black Friday Purchase for the BAF piece. No hurry.
I don't really like the sculpt of this mold at all but I'll have to get used to it because we will most definitely get a new Daredevil on it.
I'm using mine for a batman custom.
One step forward and two steps back. This figure is worse than Bucky cap sculpt for the “gripes” you point to. Jolly good review.
So $27+ for this mold, hope they add a bunch of accessories from here on, rather pay for sculpts over repaints.

The chest and the thighs are weirdly proportioned compared to the Bucky Cap mold.
Hasbro needs to back to the sculp board because this figure's body mold is off

We got one in a two pack with Tony Stark for the Marvel Studios 10 years figures, but that was just a repaint of the 2008 toy.

I like the figure but I agree he needed some power accessories . Fireballs , electricity , the bubble power hand thingy .
Hasbro needs to make new power accessories I don't know what but they're the figure makers and I expect more . Considering they give so many accessories with GI Joes and Power Rangers the Marvel Legends should have more .

This body would be perfect for a Wonderman
Thighs are a little long. But it also made Gladiator's look too stubby. Overall It still looks good. The legs may seem a little long too because of the suit. Like if there was shorts or something to break up the one color it may look better.

Hasbro finally replacing the overused bucky cap, added extra joints and Shart ran through it like a quick marathon and only gave it a It's not so bad... Going to be many years of its not so bad with this reuse.
I noticed a problem with BAF Giant Man Toybiz wave the feet and hands don't match the blue paint on the arms

We can all talk about Hasbro should fix this and that but they won't care and we will likely be getting a lot of figures on this weirdly proportioned mould.
Hot take : I think the old buck actually looks alot better. Also is it just me or do those chest and limb reds not match up at all. Like the legs and arms are a brighter red.

Feels so generic. Having no flame accessories doesn’t help. This figure was delivered at the same time as GI Joe Classified Storm Shadow and Spirit and I’m still enjoying posing those while this figure stands in the background of my X-men shelf. Seems Marvel Legends is declining while Classified is releasing banger after banger figures.
I used the head for Johnny storm
Swap the head on a spider man and make eyes normal and bam a extra Peter park face

What I’ve noticed with shartimusprine is maybe it’s just me but he’s expecting like Mafex type of articulation and accessories and expects high quality painting for a $20 figure now don’t get me wrong I love collecting these along with other figures from different companies but from the years of watching he’s getting more mad about the figures coming out and not having high lights in the hair or body but maybe that’s just me
Action figures have evolved across the year though. This figure especially had extremely high expectations as its a brand new body mold and the body mold that is supposed to be Hasbros new go-to. We've got plenty of figures from the same company at the same price range that has better paint and accessories so I don't think this is unreasonable

@@proudpolynesian5850 They're not $20 anymore. I'd disagree on SH and Mafex not adding much paint (I'll give you that it's not always done well, but it's there). Finally, a lot of the things you're saying we shouldn't expect are things that Hasbro used to provide in ML figures. If you are ok with just buying new product, that's your business, but if anything, I'd say he's often too lenient on these.
Marvel Legends aren't $20 anymore, they are almost at the $30 mark so it's fair to ask for a bit more.
Almost all the figures are repaints, it shouldn't be that expensive to add a bit more paint or at least more accessories.
Marvel Legends are close in price to basic figuarts and these figures include a good amount of stuff even if the paint isn't always there.

Just got this guy in hand the other day and IMO he’s very meh. They made the chest sculpt look like moobs to accommodate nearly useless butterfly joints.
We’ve been getting Bucky Cap for over 10 years now and this mold feels like it should have replaced it 5 years ago and we should be past this now, especially if you look at the other 6” line from Hasbro and the articulation they have.
Good fig too bad its a member of the summers family nobody cares about.. give us a classic cable in the blue & yellow

No figure ever is going to be perfect I don't even be paying attention too much on details like that they're seting on shelves the only way you're going to see something like that you got to be close up and personal.

You do know a "piledriver" is a wrestling move and also a machine used to drive things into the ground so you are using it wrong in your videos for the head articulation!!!! Just say the head moves forward and back and leave it at that!!!! You never say the arms move a full 360 like a windmill or ceiling fan so why say "piledriver" especially when you use it wrong!!!!

New mold. And they got it wrong. Thighs above knees too long plus the other things you mentioned, chest etc. Feet look like it's wearing old man slippers.how do Hasbro keep making mistakes. And you complain about the price in America. In England, if you can find a store selling them they cost £30 which is approx 35 dollars. Didn't have those problems with toybiz. When you think of the time Hasbro has had Marvel Legends you really would have thought the figures would be much better.
Pet peeves? Too many movie figures. Haven't liked any of them.lack of accessories even when they have a mold (such as the flame effect you used), lack of flying stands. If you compare revamping of plastic you get in these figures against Sat Mcfarlane figures Hasbro just aren't giving value for money.
Figures is like to see? Classic Xmen. Executioner (removable helmet or two heads) a really good hulk figure, so many bad ones, FF villain Wizard, and so many other characters. We have too many Wolverines, Spiderman, Iron man etc.

This figure looks bleh. Mismatching colors, no real accessories, his pecs look like they need to be turned 90 degrees and the weird shoulder cut. If it gets down to $12, I might pick it up, but easy, easy pass at MSRP.
