2023 BMW M760e xDRIVE NEW 7 Series

The BMW M760e xDrive uses a smaller inline-six with the familiar 3.0-liter displacement, 48V tech, and an electric motor. On its own, the combustion engine is good for 380 horsepower and 383 lb. ft. of torque. The e-motor delivers an extra 200 hp and 206 lb. ft. With the power of the two combined, the M Performance plug-in hybrid pushes out 571 hp and 590 lb. ft. of torque.

Previously, owning an M used to be a special, exciting experience. Those M cars had proper screaming engines which could be thrashed on track but would have no problem around town. It was special and heart-pounding. RWD, manual and capable of the most demanding tracks and tricks. An M wasn’t just a letter that you add to a car. It reskinned and remade the entire car from what was already a fantastic car, to a impeccable car. Designs were subtle yet striking. Everything worked harmoniously together to achieve the feeling only an M car could replicate.
Now M is a letter you slap onto a glorified washing machine with a pig nose and sell to a soccer mom or a quirky gen-z or a millennial and call a day. M now stands for money, not Motorsport.

@@kych2008 I’ve driven the iX m60, the i4 m50 the x7 m50i and m135i. The only good remaining M cars are the M5CS and the M3C XDrive/M4C XDrive

@@kych2008 an in-line 6 is not enough for a full sized sedan. No amount of electrification bs is going to help. The batteries add to the already overweight 7 series. I have driven the 745e (most powerful hybrid 5 series) and it handled so poorly I had to use all of the steering and feather the throttle otherwise it would under steer and crash. And that’s a 5 series (which is much lighter and is supposed to be more sporty than a 7 series)
