Just landed on one of your videos about similar sounding Hopi words after watching How To Learn An Indigenous Language by UWinnipeg (a bit of a misleading title but I would highly reccomend it for language preservation ideas) and I must admit I'm quite happy to see intersectional individuals like yourself putting themselves out there! I've been craving bits of home in this long harsh winter up here in Eastern Canada and seeing you be able to reconcile your LGBTQ+ and Indigenous identities gives me an inclusive flavor of home I can dream about coming back to one day. I'll have to check out your other content elsewhere, but keep on keeping on!

I'm here now, I was looking for new connects here in Hopi and found your great channel where you reminded me how much I need to drink more TEA , so kwa kwai JD. I'm a N8iv artist too. And yes I would like to see more of your content here. I'm not totally happy w/ UA-cam either butttttt.....you know how it is. You'll make the right decision for you and that's what is. I haven't even checked out TikTok yet because my internet sucks here near the Cultural Center on Second Mesa, anyway kwa kwai and cheers. Oh yeah and I found you because I'm looking for Hopi Lavaii lessons on UA-cam lol.

Hello JD, I’m still here. I subscribe your channel less then a year and what brought me to your channel is you teaching your language. I found it very nice. I am Navajo and right now I am a full time worker. I live up north Utah for about 6 years and I usually travel back home every other week to visit my family.

I found you a year ago while doing research on all things Hopi. And it was such an awesome bonus to have a look into all the many different communities that you are a part of as it lends such a unique and beautiful perspective. I very much enjoyed listening to the podcast you do/did with your sister as well. There isn’t any one topic I look to with this channel, but really just the openness and authenticity that is offered. We all need more of that! I know when I go to watch your channel, I will be receiving heartfelt and loving intentional content. I love the relaxed nature and pace of this channel as a nice welcome breath. So, thanks, I’m here. :)

I came across your channel doing research for my daughter she is 9. Her mother whom is Hopi/Hispanic mix and has chosen drugs over us in life and I feel my daughter will now be robbed of her heritage as I have no way to make contact with her family that live on the Hopi land so research is all I have and there is not a lot of content about the Hope nation outside of books. Bessie Mae Lomaheptiwa would be my daughter's great grandmother. With the Hopi nation being so small I want her to know her heritage and continue passing on the culture through her generations as she gets older.

Hi JD! I started watching your channel as an attempt to learn more about the Native American community (though I’m not Native myself). I would love to see more content, but you have to do what’s right for you :) Personally, I am most likely to leave comments when I feel that I have something new to say, or am responding to something like this- maybe asking the audience questions would be a good way to promote comments

I was looking for someone I can compare to, with my lost of vision, LGBT+, and I'm Native. I'm trying to find a way to financially support myself, learn how to live life being blind and discover myself. I keep myself isolated at home. I'm afraid to trust anyone after losing most of my eyesight. Is learning braille mandatory? Just thoughts being more scrambled. It's tough. I was also thinking of starting UA-cam but, I am worried about quality. I will stay tuned with you.

Hello JD! I’m still here! I know that I have been subscribed to your channel for about two years now, but I don’t remember what video of yours brought me to it. I am part of all three of those communities. I’m so glad to hear that you are doing well and that you’ve gotten into tea 🍵 🫖! I would love to see you make more videos, especially talking about your experiences as a member of the native, disabled, and the lgbtqia+ community and more updates on your artwork. Thank you so much for sharing where you’ve been!

I’m still here. It’s Thomas Bracken. I bought two of your Hopi rainbow T-shirts one for myself and one for a good friend and I love both of the shirts I have a light blue one of my friends got a purple one. I wanted to let you know that I love my Hopi rainbow Shirt. Part of the reason I came to your channel is the fact that I am visually impaired and also gay.

Hi JD. Yes I am still here and can't remember when I subscripted but I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community. I do remember it was related to a video(s) you did with Davy Wavey so however long ago that was was when I first subscribed. Stayed because I enjoyed the different content.

Davey was awesome to meet. We met again at vidcon and he actually spoke with Jared over the phone!
