There’s a deleted scene after Paulie loses his job which REALLY should have been kept in. It completely humanises Paulie and you see how much he regrets a lot of his life and how much he loved his sister and Rocky. It’s actually heartbreaking to watch him break down

The last fight against mason was actually filmed at a real boxing event. The audience was there to watch that and stallone filmed two different endings, one he wins and one he loses so the audience wouldn’t know till the watched the Final Cut. Stallone was actually apprehensive about filming in front of an actual live ordinary crowd but the crowd were chanting “Rocky “ on their own volition.

Rocky did win. He overcame doubts. He won his son back. He honored Adrian. He saved Marie. He helped Paulie confront his guilt and loss. He won respect from the world for his performance, including his opponent. He satisfied his soul. That's how winning is done.

"I love the Rocky and Adrian relationship".....Ah oh

  • @williamrosmer8381

They apparently once asked Adrian's actress if she was upset they killed her off for this movie. She said no because if you read the script the entire movie is about her.

  • @usernameinfo

Apparently the Mike Tyson cameo was originally going to be Clubber Lang but a deal could not be struck with Mr T.

Each time I watch "Rocky 6" the beginning showing us Adrian dies gets me. I'm glad they ended the franchise w/this & not Rocky 5.

  • @incogneato790

I love how Mason Dixon was not a bad guy. He was a warrior frustrated that there was nobody out there who could really put him to the test. Rocky gave him a gift, giving him a chance to find out who he was.

  • @RushfanDave

The Rocky movies were never about winning. They were about overcoming. They were about proving things to yourself. They were about humanity.

I always love how every reactor misses the fact that the guy Spider Rico, the one who wanted to do the dishes in the restaurant was the guy Rocky was fighting in the first scene of the original movie.

Rocky has always been about the good-hearted common people just trying to make their way in the world. Rocky and Adrian were the quintessential underdogs who leaned on each other through whatever life threw at them. I know everyone talks about how Adrian supported Rocky, but it's also highlighted in the movies that Rocky helped break Adrian out of her shell and gave her the confidence to voice her opinion without fear. "How did you get so tough?", "I live with a fighter". Their love story is the backbone of the franchise and why it will remain loved forever, because everyone internally hopes to have that kind of love in their life.

Sly knew he could not leave Rocky's legacy with Rocky 5 so i'm really glad he put a lot of thought and took his time with this one, I know he appears in the Creed movies but for me this was the best way to give such an iconic character a great send off.

  • @ChrisReise

Fun Fact: At the time this movie was made, Antonio Tarver (Dixon) was the current boxing champion.

  • @seanbumstead1250

Paulie is ashamed how he treated Adrian,he did love her.😢. Also the part were rocky gets blind by the light that was not in the script, Sylvester Stallone added it

Rocky is one of cinema's greatest characters - such a fitting coda for the franchise. His speech to his son still shows Sly has the chops for acting. FYI: He & the producers approached Talia Shire for her blessing in Adrian's death - she approved.
