    The drive to your hiking spot is GORGEOUS with all those ocean views and greeneries. Reminds me of Hawaii. It's nice that you have the view of the sea as you were walking on the trail!

    We will take your word on the dolphin. This dirt has a red tint to it much like our dirt here in the North GA are in the United States. Hiking us such a healthy way to exercise and you get the benefits of the great views..

    I’m new to hiking too! That was such a beautiful view! Too bad we didn’t see your proof of the dolphin lol but I’m sure it was beautiful too! Glad it turned out to be a nice day!

    I’m not a hiker but this was really pretty. Nice views & looked like really good weather not to hot or cold. I bet the fresh air & sun felt great.

    I live in Guayanilla! This hike is no joke even without any major elevation gain, the sun is brutal. This is my favorite trail, and one of my favorite places. I’ve hiked this trail many times and have only made it to the end to playa Ventana once, and had to take the Cuevas trail to get there. Meseta trail is just way too hot for me to make it to the end, and I am a fairly avid hiker. I believe the trail has eroded in some areas so it’s dangerous to pass. If you ever go back, take the Cuevas trail to the left of the sign at the entrance, you can check out the caves and the Guayacán centenario then continue on the trail to the end. It’s still hot but there are more trees for shade which really helps. Take a swim at Tamarindo when you finish!

      Thank you so much for your recommendation! I can definitely attest to how hot it is there & the lack of shade! I wonder if it ever cools off maybe during December/ January & on a cloudy day with no rain? lol
      We hope to go back & do the full trail sometime soon, so I’ll definitely follow your advice 💖

    Wait a dry forest. I would’ve never thought Puerto Rico had a desert area near the ocean. I think of it as having rainforests. But this was a cool place to hike and nice landscapes. How is BodyArmor?

      @@MariolaMichelleRodriguez archeological sites, hiking areas, good local food

    • @MariolaMichelleRodriguez
      @MariolaMichelleRodriguez  Рік тому +1

      @@franklopez2969 Piñones is a food area close to San Juan that I think is a must. They’re basically a bunch of huts & restaurants down a road with local food, mostly fried & sweets. While I haven’t tried all of them, I haven’t had a bad meal there yet. Old San Juan also has a lot of great restaurants, but the two top areas for trendy & delicious local food right now are Santurce & Calle Loiza, which, again, I’ve yet to have a bad meal in either.
      In terms of hikes, the Mt. Britton Trail inside El Yunque Rainforest is a lot of fun. There are also a lot of other hikes inside the Rainforest & if you go over there you have to stop by the Kioskos de Luquillo, which is a food spot similar to Piñones. Another cool experience that involves minimal hiking is visiting the Caverns in Camuy literally called Cavernas de Camuy & the Cavern called Cueva del Indio in Arecibo. I’ve also heard of great hikes in Fajardo, Cabo Rojo, and Salinas that we hope to visit someday.
      Finally, if you like archeological sites, there are two indigenous sites that I always enjoy visiting: Parque Ceremonial Indígena de Caguana in Utuado and Centro Ceremonial Indígena de Tibes in Ponce.
      Hope this helps!
