Have watched your 5yr video a number of times, very cool to see your masterpiece buttoned up and in paint. 980 views as im watching this, and this build deserves 98,000! Great job!
Hello Mr. James, first of all greetings from Mexico, you have done a great job with your lotus replica, I would like to know if you have any plans or notes that you could share with us?
Thanks so much! Certainly, I am happy to share any information that you request! Please look at my earlier build video to see how I built it, and then if you have questions, you can email me at the address I have posted there.
Man. What a car. I bet this thing can outrun most anything on the road today. Any chance you’d be willing to help another fellow car guy with some pointers on schematic design?
@@zeropointstar Well, there are many, many variables to consider. First is your choice of engine, transmission, axle, doner car. When you have that figured out, the next step is to figure out how big to build it so that you fit comfortably. I went with 442E dimension on my build; sevenesque.com/plans/ . I also suggest buying a copy of the Ron Champion book "Build Your Own Sports Car....." as a great reference book. Where in the world are you located?
@@murtivasudeva1147 For now, just small refinements on the Lotus as I drive and enjoy it. If I had a reasonable offer, I would sell it as I am emotionally attached to projects and not necessarily this car.
@@murtivasudeva1147 cars in similar leagues to my car sell in the $50-$60,000 USD range. That would pay me back about $1 per hour for my time used to build it 😜😜😜
If I took it easy....probably close to 20 mpg. With "average" enjoyable driving, I am getting around 14 mpg. With a 10 gallon tank, I fill it after every 2nd or 3rd outing. 93/94 gas here is like $5 a gallon, so around $50 to have some fun!
What an accomplishment! It must be an amazing feeling to drive a car you built from the ground up!
Thank you! Yes, it is an amazing feeling! It does inspire you to do more, so I am working n a second project now and planning a third.
good atmosphere, good time & good place.
Nice video short😊.

would love to see a pair of turbos hanging outside on this, if a somewhat overpowered chassis is good more can only be better ;)
Thanks! I actually did leave room for them......but now I am being distracted with another interesting project!
Search for Andy Forrest and his Time Attack Westfield.
These cars were not supposed to be cruisers (and I have owned two British REAL ones in the past) . Get your foot down ! 😁

Thanks for the compliment! Electrical schematic design?
@@jamesweber7001 I’m building something close to this, and need to draw up a design.

Great video! Looks like you're ready for your next project... What will it be?
Thanks! The new project is top secret! 🤫 But I can say that it will be smaller, lighter....and less powerful!
@@jamesweber7001 So what's the future for the lotus seven... I don't have the time to build one, but would love to own one...👍🙏

@@jamesweber7001 What would be a reasonable offer that could be a win-win for both... really love this car!!!
