I have an 2010 50cc trike. Ice bear, and it took some money to tighten her up... Got it for free but have about 1100 into it. Speed all the rattling, shimmed up the sloppy connections with nylon washers, fresh plastic paint, bbk 100cc 52mm piston, new rfy rear shocks, a couple uni stickers, uni pod filter and 20mm carb, also pro taper grips and nibbi throttle assembly. I got got with the upper half rebuild, 900 balloons so I'm gonna do it myself next time. Dude lost a few customers bc of it. Be safe👍🙋

I just ordered the maddog rukus gen 1 50cc, cant wait to get it and warmer weather so I can get out on it! was also toying with the idea of making it a hybrid using a high powered e scooters 2 2800 watt motors and battery. Ill share once I get it in.
Thats gonna add weight complexity and money but if you can make it work then it might be worth it.
Seems like that front fender should be behind the forks to block rocks kicking up

No, it’s always in gear the variator and clutch do not engage until the RPMs increase

Hey man, I see you are in NY. I want to get one of these things. I have some questions haha. How do you register one of these things? I live in upstate NY and was wondering how to go about getting one and if I can register it and how it all works.
Hey what’s going on I’m in upstate New York myself too I ordered mine from Belmont bikes or you can go to Cajun mad dogs I received my scooter first then I received the title of origin I didn’t have any problems registering I did everything by mail just a simple procedure insurance first and then send a title with your insurance card to the DMV I had to do mine by mail but I’m sure you can schedule an appointment at the DMV now to register it I didn’t have any problem
Did you have to get an adapter for the spike lug nuts ?
Cause on mine I don’t have female lug nuts I have male lug nuts
My hub is the good hub that has studs you got the one that’s threaded so you need threaded Lugnuts we need to get a new hub that has studs so you can use regular Lugnuts

Yeah, I never put it on

Have you succeeded registering with the NYS Dmv yet? I'm struggling.
I mailed my paperwork out for the DMV on a Friday and received my plates the following week I didn’t have any issues at all

@@LucasClemente I bought it brand new it came in a crate and then the paperwork came about a week later for it and then I got all my other paperwork together for the DMV and sent it in mines registered as a motorcycle not a moped
@@Bigbanginbuds Same here. But I went into the DMV instead of mailing it. They said the MSO was no good because the manufacturer wasn't "on the list of approved manufacturers" strange.

Yes and no depending on what size and the length but if you have a problem I just go Across them on an angle

I’m 6’4’’ and stock I can get it up to about 55mph if you do some bolt on upgrades and the clutch kit 65 all day

I’m sure you’d be able to get one but I don’t know the rules and regulations on being street legal in the UK for instance they’re not that easy to register in California but in New York and other states you have no problem

I mean I’m 6’4” and 260 pounds I think the weight limit is 300 or 350 but I don’t have any problems
i am 6'1" 275 Lbs and have the Maddog 50cc and it handles me easily! Even going up hills. But I only bought it for joy riding, not for commuting. I was going to get the Honda Ruckus, but the frame is not long enough for me, so t hat is why I got the Maddog instead.
I'm 295 lbs, 73 yrs old and cruise 45-50 mph, Avg 200 plus miles @ 45 mpg per month in NW Washington state.
Do you have to register these bike?
Yes you have to register them depending on what state you live in if you get the 50cc you can register as a moped anything above that here in New York has to be registered as a motorcycle

yikes wear gloves. Even going 10 mph the ground will cut your hands like sandpaper
I know man I’ve been riding my whole life I’ve taken my fair share of spills I have had my road rash on 90% of my body at one time got to be stupid if you’re gonna be tough our gloves next time just mess around

okay I'm a cookie girl oh wait I'm a 50-year-old cookie woman I forget my age anyways I wrote a scooter years ago in Denver but that was in Denver and it wasn't during the winter I'm on the dryer side of the Mountain these days but we still have an occasional bit of moisture and some slickness occasionally and I assume that scooter is not something you would ever want to ride in a winter situation no matter how warm you can make yourself am I correct I mean do they make snow chains for scooters???🤔🤣🙏🤷 Ok that's nuts huh? I just saw on a marketplace for 600 bucks cuz the guys in a tight spot and it's only been ridden less than like 20 miles maybe less than 10 I can't remember what it said but somebody cash in hand I bet it's a steal!!! I think my little bit of common sense tells me I best wait till spring to spend my little nest egg on this wish.
