That's what comes of doing trail centre type trails 😂 What a shame though mate, bet that walk of shame took hours although I bet the post ride beer tasted sweet!
It was the thought of the beer that kept me going 🤣. My pedal fell off at 3pm and got to the car just after 5om. It certainly added a good chunk of time, certainly well over an hour. Only good thing, there were a few places to freewheel and some of the climbs might not have been much quicker had I been able to pedal 😜. All part of the adventure though eh...
Great video mate, if it wasn’t for bad luck, you’d have none 😭🤦🏻♂️ reminds me of when I used to go biking 😩 , both my bikes fixed and can’t get out 😢🤣
I think at some point you will get some good luck! I've been struggling with a bad chest infection (causing my first asthma attack in 30 yrs) and have to watch others riding out... Again, I hope you sort it out without further issues. You ma need another bike as backup for the backup!
@@m4sythto quote the world's most annoying phrase from a few years ago..."it is what it is", mechanicals are always going to happen riding MTB on rough terrain but yep bloody annoying. Not good about the chest infection....but to use another well worn quite ...that too shall pass. 💪
@@rickpreskey7654 on the trail just before it I clobbered it on a rock or something equally as hard. The metal is softer in the crank and it shredded some of the thread and it just worked loose until... 😢
@@Adam-r8z6g yep just made it to the car as the very last of the light was available. Tough afternoon but still all part of the joys of being a mountain biker eh 😀

Bad luck or good luck is only a ride away 🤣
You really are in the bad luck zone at the moment mate.
Not a bad area for walk, if you plan to walk.
Wishing you better luck soon
These things happen.....when you treat bikes like we do 😜. Yes turned out to be a lovely walk 🤣
Well that one adventure ride I'm glad I wasn't on with you 🙈
Ha ha the fun ran out quite quickly when the pedal fell out 🤣
Not having the best of luck on these adventures recently! Onwards and upwards! 👍
@@chunkyantmtb these things are sent to try us...oh wait that's judges 🤣

Is it new cranks? Gutted for you mate
Yep. Bought and fitted yesterday. Gone for 5mm shorter on crank length, same as in my Ragley, so maybe it prevents a few pedal strikes....maybe🤣
@MTB_Derbyshire would've thought so pal. Glad yourenot stranded with no bike!
Great content 😂
@@mrchrisdavies it's hard work walking 8 miles back to the car with a broken bike for it though, I can tell you 🤣 cheers matey!
Some bad luck there it always comes in threes
@@davidwomack3912 OMG noooooooo! 😱😱😱. 🤣🤣🤣
Looks like you paid the price for the double gate opening! 😢
@@MindfulTrailBiker fate is fickle 🤣. Bike sorted now and I've gone for 5mm off the crank length....will it help avoid dreaded pedal strikes?
@ undoubtedly 👍
How did it fall out, ive never seen that before?

Wow, that really is bad luck you're having at the moment, hopefully it changes soon!
@@rickpreskey7654 things are always gonna break on an MTB at some point but twice in a week was annoying to say the least.
At least you managed to GTFO before it was pitch black. That would've sucked.
