Great video TT! I really enjoy the fact that you are mindful of keeping the fishery healthy with your techniques. Looking forward to fishing circle hooks for Sockeye in the coming weeks. Ordered a couple different brands to try this season in 3/0 and 4/0.
Nice job!! those were a couple dandy's!! Are they allowing King fishing there this year? Thanks for the tutorial, similar to ways Iv's fished Kings before, but many new good ideas!!
Thanks for the question! The corkies bob around in the current, the weight holds them from drifting. Last year the water was low and slow, 1 oz. was almost too much. This year the water was high and the current was stronger and 2 oz. was almost not enough. Also, you have to adjust the length of your leader depending on the current, too short and the corkies won't swing around in the current a whole lot or be forced right to the bottom. You just have to experiment with the length. Ideally you want to have your corkies bobbing around 6 to 12 inches off the bottom. Hope this clears things up a bit.
Great video. Since living here in the Valley, I like to see “our” backyard in UA-cam videos. Keep up the great videos. 😎Much respect.

Thanks! King fishing (for wild Kings) is shut down again this year in my neck of the woods.
Coming next week to kenai from California. hopefully can see you around to get some of your knowledge. I’m you sub.
Are you going after Sockeye (Reds)? I'll eventually get down there myself later this month. You never know who you'll run into on the Kenai.

Great video.......Thanks Tundra!
Glad you enjoyed it!
When you fish the corkie set up does it bounce along the bottom or sit in one spot?
