being an apatani, i saw many vlog of apatani in UA-cam. but so far till now i think this is best one. Thank you kritika for visiting ziro. love you and God bless you.
So, you guys are worshipper of nature and worship Sun and Moon. I'm a kirat from Nepal and we are the same. Besides, we have a sacard fireplace and a alter in each house where we keep the spirits of our dead and worship them as our ancestors. We celebrate Udhauli and Uvauli to thank the spirits before and after the harvest. Can you share some other traditions of your tribe?
Very good vlog's...Not only Apatani but every Arunachali Peoples are very generous and welcoming with their heartwarming nature... Just love the place and the peoples of 'Arunachal'..
India is undoubtedly a diverse country I agree..! But ur videos are diverse enough too.! Ur vlogs are full of GK.! Couldn't stop applauding u for every vlog of urs.! My best friends from Medical college are followers of Donyi Polo..they used to tell about the ceremony and Mithun sacrifice ..glad to see visually now through your vlog.. :)
Lovely video! I have seen lot of vlogs about ziro but yours was by far the best. I'm from ziro and I personally think the best time to visit ziro is from May-September as the weather is amazing then and also the rice fields looks serene. There's also a festival called Dree held during July where you can have a glimpse of the local Dance called "Daminda".
I'm so lucky that I spend my 15 years in this beautiful place.. After watching your Vlog I'm really missing this place a lot... And yes apatani people are the most humble people you will ever meet..
hey Kritika I'm an Apatani and a growing vlogger. Awesome content. I hope you had a great time there learned many things from us. Thank u for coming and visit again if time permits 😊 .Which part of your country are you from ma'am?

Thanks for posting about ziro, we had plans of going there but no time. This village is so cool. Like u said travelling is all about meeting new people and different cultures.

Hi Kritika Goel. Beautiful portrayal of Apatani culture through your eyes and the festival you were part of. Last year end, I had planned two major trips to Mizoram coinciding with the Chapchar Kut festival and around Oct end/ Early Nov to Meghalaya/Arunachal, but due to the subsequent pandemic the latter was out of bounds. In time, I decided to formulate plans only for Arunachal and formulate plans accordingly, and change my plan to include Ziro and Menchukha. That you mention, Myoko festival is held over 10 days, not a month starting March 20 - a festival I got t learn and understand just the other day. Chris is a go-to guy for guiding in Ziro in particular, I am aware and he has been my FB friend a long while now. I tried to connect with you on instagram, but alas. Keep up the good work. Love from a new subscriber from Goa.
Hi.. Nice video again.. We have so many places in India unexplored and glad that u explore those.. Being a South Indian I feel proud to watch your vlogs.. Keep Rocking 👍👍👍
Its wonderful how you explore the unknown but culturally rich places like ziro..Thank you for letting us know the incredible diversity of India..Kudos to your efforts👏👏
Amazing work! You have brought out some hidden indian treasure, most of us want to visit west but see how much we have to explore in our country itself.
A very nice concept video of an Apatani tribe.hope you explore more about entire arunachal prades..and,the last two women together is my mother and her sister (aunt).thank you for cover up and god bless you...all the best.

Nice vlog as usual and very informative. But kritika you missed a big thing there which had made apatani tribe unique in the world. They are the only tribe who do step farming with paddy and fish(growing fish and paddy in the same field). They get both grown fish and rice at the time of harvest. You should have visited one of the paddy fields. The best time to visit ziro is september when the ziro music festival starts. over the years it has become quite famous like coachella or the burning man. There are 16 major tribes of arunachal but i guess apatani is the only tribe which hasn't changed much over the years. Most tribes are converting to christianity or hinduism, apatani are bit more rooted. Mechuka, ziro, tawang, anjaw and mayodia are most beautiful spots in arunachal and quite different from one another. You should visit all. :)
Thanks! And I did include a few clips from those fields but I didn't talk about it coz for some reason I didn't find that very interesting lol but I probably should have included it coz others might have liked knowing that. Apatanis are also converting to Christianity because there are fewer shamans now. Would love to visit during the music festival :)
you are right, apatani youngsters are converting too, but not at the rate at which other tribes are. my mom is from arunachal too and most of my relatives converted years ago. Apatani people distance themselves from other tribes and majorly their tribe members marry each other from their own tribe even if its love marriage. usually marrying other tribe is not welcomed much and non tribals is still a big taboo, resulting in disowning the kids too. Buti think this disciple is needed to preserve the culture or else in a couple of years the beauty and culture of arunachal will be gone
two reasons.. most people convert for monetary benefits and few coz of peer pressure when they see that most of the people and relatives around them have already converted
