Yea the railroad came through there in the 70s when I was stationed there crossed right in front of the gate and there were squatters up and down the fence and tracks but for the life of me I can't remember ever seeing a train or hear one. Some of the older photos posted there is a glimpse of the tracks crossing the highway. :)
