- Get a quick tour of RISD's campus, from studios and galleries to RISD dorms and research spaces like the Nature Lab. Small, urban, and home to a vibrant community of artists and designers, RISD's location in Providence, RI offers a unique setting for our culture of hands-on, material-based learning.
Tips that help when applying to RISD:
Be versatile in your portfolio by showing different styles and mediums.
Also, practice most of your art from life or imagination rather than photos.
this has been my dream school since i was 9 ,, hoping i get early decision acceptance for fall 2022 :(
SAME,, IM SO EXCITED TO GO HONESTLY IT SEEMS SO FUN BYE 🚶
U got accepted?
it costs 250.000 US-dollars to go there for 4 years. after that you would have to get a job immedeately to pay off the loans over many years. If you don't get lucky (because getting an art-related job can be hard) you would have to give up art and work in restaurants to pay the loan off. There is an unspoken rule about art college: "DONT GO IF YOU CANNOT AFFORD IT WITHOUT LOANS!". hope this helps.
Hope u get in!
wish you luck!
i LOVE that they have a supply store, that’s so creative wow
RISD is a truly extraordinary community of artists, designers, entrepreneurs and so much more!
the fact that I've experienced this in RISD pre-college 2019 is immaculate and wonderful
What is that?
Pre college is where you spend 5-6 weeks doing on-campus classes, it gives you amazing experiences, another thing to put on your resume(and it looks really good) as well as networking with the school. I’m applying to go next summer
This is for high schoolers btw
Im only 13 right now but this is my dream school. Hopefully if i work hard enough and improve enough ill get a chance to attend RISD. Good luck to everyone else trying to get in!!💗
me tooo, gud luck i hope ure able to go there in the futuree!!
its so beautiful here!! as someone from southern california its so nice to see a place with so much creativity in a place with so much green
I love this school ! It’s my dream school . Ever since I was a little kid , I have always wanted to show my creative self at this school !

what did you choose?

I applied my senior year of high school , got waitlisted , now I’m applying as a transfer , pray for me ✌🏻
Such a vibrant community!
I’ve been waiting for this video haha💕
this is my ultimate dream school, but I'm miiiiiiiiiiiles away from USA but that will not stop me from someday being a risd student. for master's i want to study here. i will make sure of it.
I love this video because it allows anyone to view the campus without pressure and I got a lot out of it as I’m considering risd. (Even know I don’t think they’d accept me you never know)
But a small part of me also hates it because it feels like an educational video a teacher would put on in class. As if this is animal planet only the subject today is risd.
Ahah maybe I’m just going insane.
Either way I can’t complain too much.
It is funny when you view it like that. You expect an art institution to have some crazy or unique way to showcase their campus. Alas sometimes you have to gall back on convention for somethings. I'm going to rewatch as if I'm watching Animal Planet now.

@@jasmina.8473 oh I 100% agree and am no longer considering risd after coming to the realization just about any college degree in art would get me a job.
The only key factor now in my college is that it’s an all art college because if I’m going to get an art degree at al I might as well go to a specialized school. But I’ve stopped thinking highly of Ivy League schools such as risd which kind of is ivy leauge in the art college world.
Art is such a subject degees like most degrees based on personal hobbies and craftsmanship that it is truly what you make out of it that counts
I agree it's rather depressing that an art school can't make a more lively promotional video
i hope to be a RISD student in 2024!!
same here!! hopefully we both end up getting in :)
its 2024 u in yet?
This has always been a dream school I,ve been working on my art so tnst when I grow up I can go to the school
this is priddy epic
dream school fr
I think I'm in love
How to get into RISD ?
As I have completed my graduation
hmmm I suggest you to visit RISD"s website and contact their admissions, you have to make an art portfolio and complete the common app. (at least for me, who just finished applying as an domestic student from the USA, for RISD's freshman 2021 Fall undergrad program.

MY DREAM SCHOOL!!
i WILL GET INTO RISD RAAAAAAAAAAA
Looks awesome
there seems to be a building for everything
Woah!
This is a dream for me
Why is the tuition so expensive?
This is kinda overwhelming 😅
I wish there was more diversity among staff 😕 imagine a school with Hispanic teachers , Native American teachers , Black teachers, Asian teachers and more -that school would be lit!
Very impressive Todd
good cry if i dont go there when im older :)
Dream school
any risd 2025 (early decision) students?!
me haha
me haha
Me 👍
2026 for me 😂
me 😅
@Jasmin A stop destroying people’s dreams
Polkadot polkadot polkadot!
i want to go but i’m muslim and i...
so what? I'm attending RISD in a few months and I'm a Muslim too. What is your point, akhi?
@@GrexFilms wait!! you got in?? congrats!!
@@neya9261 thanks! hope to see you there in sha Allah!
@@GrexFilms haha sorry but im only 12 lol. I'm just looking at universities so I know which path I should take!!
@@neya9261 Well, RISD is extremely respectful about student's faiths. There is a Muslim Student Center in Brown University that is shared with RISD and do jummuah prayers together. During Ramadan you can talk with RISD Dinning and they will adjust your meals for a correct suhoor and iftar. If you need halal food you can also ask for it. So RISD is one of the best options for Muslims artists
Nice
any 2021 student for risd
Yup! :)
@@okflo How are you liking it? My father attended in the '80s for the film program
you lost me at cockroach
Says a lot about the ultra woke direction the school is taking
@@RabidNemo u r literally miserable
