It’s fun to see you play this game Lex. I have been playing for six weeks now and still got plenty to do, and have been enjoying this game a lot. As for eating, it is a good idea to do so. It fills your focus bar, and as long as it isn’t empty you’ll earn extra xp for your skills. So if you don’t eat, it will take longer to level up your skills. Also, one more tip, you can place up to 8 storage chests on your plot for extra storage space. I hope to see more Palia gameplay by you. 😄
I've only dabbled in Palia a little, but it is kinda fun. As far as I know, you don't need to sleep or eat. Cooking and eating does raise your focus so you can do things faster, but I've played about 40+ hours and haven't really eaten yet. You do need to water your crops once a day for them to grow. They won't wilt, but they won't grow if they are not watered. I'll hunt, fish, and cook to raise my skills but you can sell your lower level cooked items if you want. You can also make multiple storage chests when your inventory is full.
I've watched a few other Palia vids (like how to make money and how to do certain quests). Lots of other YT players have great advice!
I may try and get back into Palia... It is a cute game! 😊
You are right you don’t need to eat but over a given time skill level from someone who manages their focus and one who doesn’t becomes noticeable. Even more so when you get bonus upgraded.

I forgot how fun early gameplay was.....and yes, you will need FAR more than 20 smoke bombs. I think I used more than 200 last night trying to get a rainbow tipped butterfly lol

I've been playing since closed beta, there's so much to do. The glowing trees are Flow tree's (there's various Flow products), you'll need upgraded tools for those and some you need multiple players to help bring it down (they'll say in chat where something Flow is). Some characters are romanceable after a certain friendship level is reached.

It's so cute and the devs are constantly updating and listening to players. I did finish the Palian quest and am now getting into cooking and decorating(you can place star quality dishes) more than helping the town whoops they'll see me when I'm done, I still stop by for my bae Kenyatta though. omg and they gave us snowballs in a december update and have fights with your friends. AND I have still never spent a penny on the game
I absolutely love this game and am currently playing non stop! Definitely love that you played this! It's so sweet, fun and easy to play...it helps my anxiety self to calm down ❤

Palia is amazing! 💕👍😻 So glad you are enjoying it and hope to see you continue your journey! It is truly a fun game and so much to do and discover! The time zone going by so fast in the game is confusing for me and the questing can get a bit confusing as well, but other than those I find it just as relaxing as Animal Crossing. The music is so pleasant and zen like sometimes and the little things like crickets chirping makes the aesthetics worth the play especially when you see the beautiful views of the landscape. I started learning more about the housing and furniture set up, so it gets even better designing your housing layout and crafting matching furniture for each room and hallway!
Been playing since last September i think. Its super fun, super cute. Monthly updates that add quite a bit to the game. You get attached to characters easily to lol

I have been obsessed with this game, BUT I play on the switch so I didn’t even know that all these details and little flowers in the fields were a thing- it’s just untextured lol and occasional bugs, but I love it!

Ahhh, this was so fun to watch! I've been playing regularly since just before the closed beta ended, and it's been so long since I've seen all the starting bits! There's a bit of a learning curve, but thankfully the wiki is significantly more buffed up than now it was 6 months ago 😂 It also gets more fun once you get over any apprehension about working with other players - it took me quite a while to not instinctively run the other way when I saw other people 😂

I've played Palia a bit and quite enjoyed it! The thing that got me to stop playing was I kept suggesting it to others so we could game together and no one was interested 😮💨

That purple tree was a Flow tree, you'll learn about them. No voice chat, but you can type in the server chat feature. ❤❤

Big mistake clearing ALL the debris. He said some. Now you have no trees. Luckily in the next update you'll be able to replant trees. Right now you can't.
You don't need trees in your plot you can chop them in the world map

Try not to chop or break all the stuff on your plot. It ront respawn. You'll only be able to plant full sized trees
