Kinda disagree sir zach. Locals are not aware na may mga fast approaching MC. Yung mga checkpoints lang ang may coordination sa LGU and the rest of the route is “bahala na”. And in the day to day basis nang mga locals in the provinces, alam nila na di masyado marami nadaan kaya at some degree they are not aware. I get the point na di naman lahat hawak nang organizer but in every event laging ang organizer ang managot once mag karoon nang kung ano man within the scope of that said event. Majority ng riders jan target nila talunin ang 24 oras, so karera yun at lahat sila inoorasan. Overspeeding is illegal. wag nyo na pagtakpan. Kung gusto nyo safe, dapat sa totoong safe environment. May race track nama, dapat dun gawin nyan tulad ng 24 hr challenge sa Suzuka circuit sa Japan. Be realistic, lahat ng kasali jan overspeeding sila at reckless driving, kasi nga goal nila talunin yung oras at makabalik ng pinakamabilis. I love the idea of the endurance riding, the idea of riding on your pwn pace and getting the satisfaction of finishing it safely... but i really don't like the idea of making it a long distance racing..
100% Agree. Any overspeeding or reckless driving violation, automatically disqualified na dapat. I think yung implementation of ride history during these events is more possible given na lahat naman siguro may smartphones na which most I think has built-in GPS (kaya nga tayo nakakapag-waze).

Put a speed limiter on all participants chosen rides. Limit them to 80kph to 100kph. Also the organizers should put more Marshalls on site. Imagine riders getting lost and being forced to catch up. The Organizers should be held responsible for all mishaps regardless who did it.

In Terms of Recording ma share ko lang as a person who do Running/Cycle and nag momotor din okay yung idea na GPS base nalang. Like pwede gumawa nalang ng online event tapos yung GPS record nalang yung i check for the basis of best time to complete the event. Activities can be recorded using apps like Garmin/Relive/Strava kaso walang pang motor dun sa Strava, personality I use Umiodigi Uwatch 3, XOSS g+ and XOSS NAV tapos linked nalang sa Strava/Relive or rekta nalang sa phone minsan kung malapit lang. Back then in the height of the pandemic yung SUB1 10k challenge online submission lang ng recorded activity yung ginawa ni Pinoy Fitness.

Ang di ko lang gusto sa endurance challenges na to is most of the bikes are equipped with overwhelmingly lots of led auxiliary light that is turned on whether night or day, and it's blinding. When you give a pass light they don't turn it down, they simply ignore it. Nakakainis lang. Imagine, it's turned on, blinding opposite direction vehicles, and is still daylight. Are they blind or something? I get it that they are on the run but it is something to take consider din naman. Masakit sa mga mata ang auxiliary light whether its day or night. From this palang, safety is questionable na. It can cause accidents and road rage btw. And its terribly annoying.
How about po yung mga auxlights na lagpas na sa maximum requirement and nag biblink pa, then nakikita ng mga HPG at hinahayaan lang? paano po yun? naka lift po ba kapag kasali sa mga endurance race? curious lang po, please enlighten me. thank you!

Letting loose almost 2K higher displacement motorcycles and 4 wheelers with sleep deprived riders by in uncontrolled public roads for this co called “endurance challenge” is a recipe for disaster. Even in a controlled circuits with professional drivers, accidents do happen, how much more in this endurance challenge wherein they are traversing in public roads with so many variables such as other motorists, pedestrians, live stocks that share the same roads with the participants. The organizer of the event is an advocate for safe riding as the name of their organization says and in fairness to them, they are consistent in reminding the participants to follow road safety and traffic rules. This begs the question, is the organizer doing enough? Do they penalize those participants that are intentionally violating the speed limits in the national and provincial highways putting their lives and others at risk. Maybe it's high time for the organizer to go back to the drawing board and review their rules on how to mitigate the risks to the participants and the public. First and foremost is to strongly consider staging this challenge in a controlled circuit or close the route of the entire event. If they will continue doing it on public roads, this event is not much different from illegal street racing. They can also consider in the rules to require two alternating riders to complete this challenge. Riding for almost 24 hours will take its toll on each rider that may affect their focus, reflexes etc. Even the Le Mans 24-hour race requires three drivers to alternate to complete the challenge. As an afterthought, I wonder why no big motorcycle companies are entering factory teams in this so called most awaited and most prestigious motorcycle event in the country. All I can see in my limited viewing of social media are the teams of the so-called influencers.

Boss ironman is a race sa isip ng mga participants within a given time. yun ang problema yung given time. Its an endurance race ang mananalo is yung nakayanan yung race. kalkulado nila dapat kung ilang oras ang byahe sa ganitong kalayo or ilang KM kung tatakbo sila ng 60 KM 80KM at 100KM dapat dun lang sila sa given legal speed limit ng bawat lugar within the boundaries. pag highway ok lang na mabilis pero kung alam mo naman makikipot ang mga daan alam mo na dapat ang bilis ng takbo mo. most accident occur during highspeed maliban na lang kung nakahinto ka at ikaw ang babangain I mean accidents happen how do you keep it safe? well wear what most MotoGP riders wear. and have a navigational coach to remind you on where to speed up of slow down co pilot kung baga. lastly alamin kung sino ang mga kamote sa grupo. bawal ang kamote mode sa ganitong event dahil we riders ride at our own risk.

Pero ang ginawa ng BOSS IRONMAN They put places kaya ang tendency ng participants ay habulin yung place - ending they are racing for that spot. I respect the idea of looking into participant riding history, but if you will think of it Zac that is too much work and need man power which means mag lalabas ng pera yung organizers just to do that. Why not the government require them to create an app? and that app will send a notification reel time directly to organizers/authorities if that participant reach a certain speed. just my few cents.

Or Pwede naman gawin sa Racetrack like Lemans 24 ng Europe. At least pag naaksidente sila sa track,meron agad medic at ambulance. Hindi pa madadamay yung mga public transport. Again it is a Public roads they are using.

organizing a large scale ride in a busy road is always post a risk to non participating people. These should be done away from roads being use by the public. Defending this is just logic pack. Imagine the risk sa mga kids sa school zones? yung hundreds of puyat na riders in big displacement passing a school zones? tigilan sana natin ang selective whataboutism. nakakaogag na katwiran 'yan.
I think hindi yung endurance challenge mismo ang issue. Ang issue dito ay yung mga maling ginagawa ng mga ilang riders. And the organizers could create more safety rules and guidelines next event para hindi maging sagabal ito sa ibang tao.

Ang mali sobrang bilis ng takbo ng motor dahil may hinahabol na oras sila, 80 to 100kph in public road mabilis na meron at meron na bigla lalabas o dadaan sa line mo dapat yung bilis mo dapat kaya nag hard break in case na need mo mag full stop. Kung ako if may endurance challenge dapat wala time limit para mawala sa isip ng rider na dapat taposin ang event ng 24hrs. Ako nga ng long ride almost 240kms lang umabot ako ng 7hrs. Yun pa ba 1.2kms ang byahe na dapat matapos mo ng 24hr, subrang bilis mo baka takbohan mo sa 90 to 100plus paano may sudden break hindi mo kaya mag fullbreak. Mali din ang event for me public road dapat takbo mo jan nasa 60 to 70 para incase ng sudden break kaya mo mag preno. Hindi endurance challenge yan road racing in different style.
I'm admiring you sir Zack but i think you shouldn't compare the ironman to marathon. Ironman using engine power while marathon using human power. Speed of ironman can kill anyone especially innocent civilian. Marathon is health beneficial event while ironman is not.

Put a speed limiter on all participants chosen rides. Limit them to 80kph to 100kph. Also the organizers should put more Marshalls on site. Imagine riders getting lost and being forced to catch up. The Organizers should be held responsible for all mishaps regardless who did it.

In Terms of Recording ma share ko lang as a person who do Running/Cycle and nag momotor din okay yung idea na GPS base nalang. Like pwede gumawa nalang ng online event tapos yung GPS record nalang yung i check for the basis of best time to complete the event. Activities can be recorded using apps like Garmin/Relive/Strava kaso walang pang motor dun sa Strava, personality I use Umiodigi Uwatch 3, XOSS g+ and XOSS NAV tapos linked nalang sa Strava/Relive or rekta nalang sa phone minsan kung malapit lang.

Ang di ko lang gusto sa endurance challenges na to is most of the bikes are equipped with overwhelmingly lots of led auxiliary light that is turned on whether night or day, and it's blinding. When you give a pass light they don't turn it down, they simply ignore it. Nakakainis lang. Imagine, it's turned on, blinding opposite direction vehicles, and is still daylight. Are they blind or something? I get it that they are on the run but it is something to take consider din naman. Masakit sa mga mata ang auxiliary light whether its day or night. From this palang, safety is questionable na. It can cause accidents and road rage btw. And its terribly annoying.
How about po yung mga auxlights na lagpas na sa maximum requirement and nag biblink pa, then nakikita ng mga HPG at hinahayaan lang? paano po yun? naka lift po ba kapag kasali sa mga endurance race? curious lang po, please enlighten me. thank you!

Letting loose almost 2K higher displacement motorcycles and 4 wheelers with sleep deprived riders by in uncontrolled public roads for this co called “endurance challenge” is a recipe for disaster. Even in a controlled circuits with professional drivers, accidents do happen, how much more in this endurance challenge wherein they are traversing in public roads with so many variables such as other motorists, pedestrians, live stocks that share the same roads with the participants.
The organizer of the event is an advocate for safe riding as the name of their organization says and in fairness to them, they are consistent in reminding the participants to follow road safety and traffic rules. This begs the question, is the organizer doing enough? Do they penalize those participants that are intentionally violating the speed limits in the national and provincial highways putting their lives and others at risk.
Maybe it's high time for the organizer to go back to the drawing board and review their rules on how to mitigate the risks to the participants and the public. First and foremost is to strongly consider staging this challenge in a controlled circuit or close the route of the entire event. If they will continue doing it on public roads, this event is not much different from illegal street racing.
They can also consider in the rules to require two alternating riders to complete this challenge. Riding for almost 24 hours will take its toll on each rider that may affect their focus, reflexes etc. Even the Le Mans 24-hour race requires three drivers to alternate to complete the challenge.
As an afterthought, I wonder why no big motorcycle companies are entering factory teams in this so called most awaited and most prestigious motorcycle event in the country. All I can see in my limited viewing of social media are the teams of the so-called influencers.

Boss ironman is a race sa isip ng mga participants within a given time. yun ang problema yung given time. Its an endurance race ang mananalo is yung nakayanan yung race. kalkulado nila dapat kung ilang oras ang byahe sa ganitong kalayo or ilang KM kung tatakbo sila ng 60 KM 80KM at 100KM dapat dun lang sila sa given legal speed limit ng bawat lugar within the boundaries. pag highway ok lang na mabilis pero kung alam mo naman makikipot ang mga daan alam mo na dapat ang bilis ng takbo mo. most accident occur during highspeed maliban na lang kung nakahinto ka at ikaw ang babangain I mean accidents happen how do you keep it safe? well wear what most MotoGP riders wear. and have a navigational coach to remind you on where to speed up of slow down co pilot kung baga. lastly alamin kung sino ang mga kamote sa grupo. bawal ang kamote mode sa ganitong event dahil we riders ride at our own risk.

Pero ang ginawa ng BOSS IRONMAN They put places kaya ang tendency ng participants ay habulin yung place - ending they are racing for that spot. Ginagawa nilang excuse yung event para mangamote - Overspeeding, overtaking at counterflowing pati yung sobra sobrang aux lights, blinkers at iba pa.

I respect the idea of looking into participant riding history, but if you will think of it Zac that is too much work and need man power which means mag lalabas ng pera yung organizers just to do that. Why not the government require them to create an app? and that app will send a notification reel time directly to organizers/authorities if that participant reach a certain speed. just my few cents.

Ang problema kasi may time limit sila kaya yung mga riders nagmamadali at nagiging overspeeding, and there is a high percentage to create accident. e Extend na lang yung Time limit like 36 or 48 hours. Or Pwede naman gawin sa Racetrack like Lemans 24 ng Europe. At least pag naaksidente sila sa track,meron agad medic at ambulance. Hindi pa madadamay yung mga public transport. Again it is a Public roads they are using.

The truth is. Wala naman talagang sumusunod na big bike sa speed limit kasali man ng endurance or hindi. Mas na highlight lang accident sa ironman kasi mas nakilala sya sa larangan ng endurance. Kung problem is yung mga light nila na "sobrang" nakakasilaw sa kasalubong dapat controlled to ng mga event organizer kasi nag ccheck sila ng mga motor prior mag start. Yung mga accident na yan kasama yan mapa endurance or bumabyahe ka lang daily.

malaki parin ang responsibility ng event organizer dito, isa pa nasa public roads sila meron sinusundan na speed limit ang kalsada, iba ang limit sa loob ng bayan, sa hi way at sympre sa slex or nlex... unless meron sila sarili kalsada nag pag kakarerahan na wala obstacle na civilian na pwede masaktan sa event.... kung gagawa sila ng event siguraduhin nila wala tao sa pag gaganapan, example sa ibang bansa why rally racer naka pag full throttle ng 200mph sa makitid na lugar na isip lang nila ay matapos ang race in fastest time, kasi control area sya wala tao at anything goes wala sila masasaktan na civilian.

organizing a large scale ride in a busy road is always post a risk to non participating people. These should be done away from roads being use by the public. Defending this is just logic pack. Imagine the risk sa mga kids sa school zones? yung hundreds of puyat na riders in big displacement passing a school zones? tigilan sana natin ang selective whataboutism. nakakaogag na katwiran 'yan.
I think hindi yung endurance challenge mismo ang issue. Ang issue dito ay yung mga maling ginagawa ng mga ilang riders. And the organizers could create more safety rules and guidelines next event para hindi maging sagabal ito sa ibang tao.

Gagawa-gawa pa ng video na di pabor sa bangking-banking sa Marilaque at Tae content tas kapag well-funded na event e go na go na ang butsi. When you provide an avenue for people to do illegal things, aren't you complicit in what may happen? Challenge mo yung mga tao na magdrive ng motor ng 24hrs, tas kapag di kinaya at nag aksidente sa kalsada at may nadamay na ibang tao. Hindi ka ba kasali sa may sala? Ang mali sobrang bilis ng takbo ng motor dahil may hinahabol na oras sila, 80 to 100kph in public road mabilis na meron at meron na bigla lalabas o dadaan sa line mo dapat yung bilis mo dapat kaya nag hard break in case na need mo mag full stop. Kung ako if may endurance challenge dapat wala time limit para mawala sa isip ng rider na dapat taposin ang event ng 24hrs. Ako nga ng long ride almost 240kms lang umabot ako ng 7hrs. Yun pa ba 1.2kms ang byahe na dapat matapos mo ng 24hr, subrang bilis mo baka takbohan mo sa 90 to 100plus paano may sudden break hindi mo kaya mag fullbreak. Mali din ang event for me public road dapat takbo mo jan nasa 60 to 70 para incase ng sudden break kaya mo mag preno. Hindi endurance challenge yan road racing in different style.

I'm admiring you sir Zack but i think you shouldn't compare the ironman to marathon. Ironman using engine power while marathon using human power. Speed of ironman can kill anyone especially innocent civilian. Marathon is health beneficial event while ironman is not.
