I do not teach yoga, yoga teach itself ....I share my experiences; the good ones and the bad ones. I share the yoga sutras philosophy and make them awake some inner wisdom. There is nothing to teach but a lot to share and in my country most of the people have catholic background and reject yoga as demonic. I live in Guatemala Central America

The "other" comment by Swami Paramamta is a bit harsh to the western ear, but there is truth in it. What we practice in the West is something that is yoga inspired. I understand that people teaching "western yoga" have to make a living, however, this technical approach to the art of yoga makes me cringe. And also, even if what we practice and teach is really a way water-down version of yoga, we should still acknowledge and respect the indian traditions of preserving the ancient art that goes way back to ancient Egypt (more "ancient" than what is commonly thought). You have love for yoga and I salute you, so preserve it, and don't sell, rather inspire with your own light . I know, it's easier said than done and I wish you strength, faith and all the blessings!

How long do u think it takes to be a “full time” instructor other than working full time at a studio.

That’s a great question. Ultimately a full time yoga teacher isn’t exactly ‘full time’ in the traditional sense of hours per week. Full time yoga teacher means you are curating an abundant career doing what you love. Working on your own terms and feeling connected to your purpose/Dharma. Depending on your goals, this doesn’t need to take a lot of time. There is inner work and there is outer work. Believing in yourself, finding your voice/message, shifting your money mindset and owning your value are part of the inner work - and the outer work is all about strategy, systems, content creation, mindful marketing, etc. Unlike others, I’m more of a ‘one step at a time’ kind of person when it comes to building a sustainable and lucrative ‘full time’ career as a toga teacher. It can’t be forced or rushed but it also doesn’t have to take years. The moment you decide you are ready and get clear on what your offer is, momentum will start to build and you can be self-sustaining in less than a year if you really want to. It all depends on you, your motivation, your work ethic and your personal desire. Also, sometimes getting a ‘part time’ job (or at least reducing the amount of classes you’re teaching so you have more space & energy to create new offers in your biz) may be an important part of the journey to keep you feeling grounded as you grow. It’s a natural process and one worth exploring if you feed called!☺️🌷

Real Yoga is all about the Hindu religion, taught by Hindus and not for a fee. All this other "stuff" in the name of Yoga is totally phony.

Swami Paramatma I teach at a gym . & @ a care center . I’m a Christian so I don’t use Sanskrit Language. Not even my ending is not traditional ending. I teach breath move relax . I’ve met some foolish people who are paid well teaching Yoga . There are insulting rude nasty language that’s good for the gutter only kind of people representing yoga I can’t stand it. I bring Christianity to my yoga in that I convey love hope peace comfort but I don’t say those things I don’t tell people I’m a Christian I walk my walk

"Yoga" in the West is really marketing a niche of the fitness industry.

Swami Paramatma perhaps you should tell that to bikram choudhury? Not all the well intentioned people in the west who have a love for the practice and have devoted their whole lives to service and yes, have to somehow pay thier bills as well. Just a thought.
