    I recently picked up my new 2022 fully-loaded $78,520 Jeep Grand Cherokee L in all black with the black interior I also opted to get the V8 and so far I really like it.

    Hello Tyler. Good walk around and drive video for the Jeep Grand Cherokee L in the Summit Reserve trim. I'm glad you were able to get your hands on the one with the 5.7 liter HEMI V8 engine. That'll be the engine of choice for me. I've test driven the Jeep Grand Cherokee L twice so far. Once in the Limited trim and once in the Overland trim. The ride quality was nice on both trims. However, it was a little more nicer with the Overland trim due to coming equipped with the quadra lift adjustable air ride suspension system. That feature is on the three top tier trim Overland, Summit and Summit Reserve. The same can be said for the V8 engine on those three trims. I'm not sure if anyone would agree with me on this, but what I think Jeep should've done was to have the V8 engine optional starting with the Limited trim. Overland and Summit trims to have it optional as well. Then, have that engine standard on the Summit Reserve trim due to the fact that it's the highest trim level in the lineup. The horsepower for the HEMI V8 engine is actually 357 and not 375 which was mentioned in the video. At the same time I wished Jeep increased the HP a pinch to 375 because the V8 engine in the Jeep Grand Cherokee L is basically a carry over from the outgoing fourth generation Jeep Grand Cherokee. Maybe during a mid-cycle refresh model year they might increase it a little bit to 375 or 380. Let's see what happens when the time comes. I plan on doing a third test drive for the Jeep Grand Cherokee L, but this time I'll do that next test drive for the one with the V8 engine. I have intentions on getting the Jeep Grand Cherokee L, but will not get the first year of the new generation. I'll get either the second year of the new generation or the third year of the new generation so that it'll give me more time to put some money aside for it and also by that time couple more standard features will get added to the list. Also, whatever bugs, knick knacks, or recalls that will rise to surface now for the first model year will get resolved either by the second or third model year. When the time comes for me to get it I'll get it in the Overland trim nicely equipped with the legendary 5.7 liter HEMI V8 engine. In addition to that I'll get the 20" rims and the black roof. Should be GRRREAT!! 👍👍

      Thanks for the comment! Back when the 2011 4th gen Jeep Grand Cherokees came out you could option the 5.7L all the way down to the Laredo X trim and up. So I totally agree with you about the need for the 5.7 to be a option on lower trims.
      Thanks for the horsepower correction, I even had the correct number written down but apparently my mouth won't speak what my eyes read! (Maybe wishful thinking on my part for horsepower).
      You are probably smart for waiting a year or 2 with the new platform just to make sure there are any early 1st year growing pains. But it sounds like you have a great plan to get a awesome Grand in your future! Thanks for the view!

      @@TylerPotter Good morning Tyler. Thanks for responding. I didn't know that for the outgoing generation Jeep Grand Cherokee, the Laredo X had the 5.7 liter V8 optional. Before the Laredo X trim came into the lineup, they had the 5.7 liter V8 optional starting in the Limited trim. Now, for this new generation it's not optional starting in the Limited trim. It's optional starting in the Overland trim now. Maybe during the mid-cycle refresh model year they might have the V8 optional for the Limited trim as well. Let's see which deck of cards they will shuffle for the mid-cycle refresh period. Another reason why I mentioned that I'll wait either for the second or third year of the new generation to get the Jeep Grand Cherokee L is because at the moment they only have six colors of choice to choose from for the body color. My favorite color is blue and at the moment not a single shade of blue is in sight. When the time comes for me to get it ill get it in navy blue or for Jeep's description midnight blue pearl. That's the color I have for the third generation Jeep Grand Cherokee I have now. So, I want to keep the color trend moving....you know. I'll get the Jeep Grand Cherokee L in blue and with the black roof. That's a good color combo right there.

    Holy expensive CUV Batman. $70,000 for a top end Grand Cherokee? I get a Tahoe LT for 60,000 and have a bigger class vehicle. These should max out at $55,000. What is Jeep smoking?

    • @TylerPotter
      @TylerPotter  2 роки тому +1

      You could also make the argument that a high line Tahoe is 90k and the mid line Grand Cherokee L is only low 40's. But yes 70k for a L is a lot of money unless you are talking a SRT or Trackhawk. Thanks for the view!

    • @TJW68
      @TJW68 2 роки тому +8

      For 60K that Tahoe will be a sea of hard black plastic. Not comparable at all.

    • @TJW68
      @TJW68 2 роки тому +4

      @@TylerPotter Even the 90k Tahoe interior pales in comparison to the Jeep Summit Reserve interior. Chevy just doesn't do interiors at this level. GM reserves the good stuff for Cadillac. Luckily, people who buy Chevys don't notice, nor mind. They're a simpler, less discerning demographic.

      @@TJW68 Tahoe LT is a fantastic place to be. You may be thinking older generations. Tahoe LT is also body on frame which means more capability and stability when towing.
