A little trick I learned about my 579 I drive is as you pull the door handle out, you can push the door lock down. That way you don’t have to use the key all the time.
Polish both side lower rails, diesel refer tank and 4 chrome long fenders in front of the rear tires. On the trailer...might look real nice with your tractors.
Need to make you up a couple of dummy block off plugs . Next time you can just disconnect the brake hose and plug off the line until you can make the proper repair. Great roadside fix Martin .
I had some road debris knock my air line off of my road side chamber going through Atl a while ago. Had to do the same repair with the trailer hanging out in the granny lane.
A little less conspicuous way that i do it is i put a dime in the fitting and just back the slack adjuster off. Unless the DOT man is measuring the movement of the slack adjuster. Also you're allowed to have 20% of your brakes out of adjustment so you can technically have 2 corners out on that setup.
Just think of how many wasted hours, drivers without a clue about these basics, spend waiting for a road call, or in line at one of these truck stops to sell them those super overpriced parts, and lose their appointments to load or unload. Kudos to your professionalism, Bill
@@mr.wright348 More professional than these jerk ass companies that tell their drivers to show off duty time while they sit at a shipper/receiver all night and day loading when everyone knows thats on duty time, then run them balls to the wall to make delivery when they have had no rest.

Gotta love the Beltway around Madison. I go down 151 every Monday from home to Iowa and nearly always some kind of fender bender on the Beltway. They haven t a clue how to merge on and off the exits See you stopped at the KT Mount Horeb for Fuel. Bet your spread axle just loved that silly little roundabout on the way in 😂
Hey Martin and Alice, I'm just curious if you two are planning on driving fancy hawk anymore, I understand why you use the other trucks because they get better fuel mileage but fancy hawk is a staple of your channel, I miss seeing you two rolling through the gears going down the road, anyway keep putting out the great videos!!!
Were you stuck on the Beltline in Madison...I try to avoid it at all costs! I have lived in the Madison area for 50 years now. It sure has changed and become more congested all around the Dane county area. Safe travels Martin.
I must have been just ahead of you or just behind you. Picked up John Deere from Dubuque to Colorado Springs. But I took the 52 or 54 route, I can’t remember exact road but went to Colorado Springs.
Snap On makes a gas tank strap socket that works great on the caging bolts. Socket is long and grabs the nut with plenty of room for the threated rod shaft to be inside the socket/no bottoming out.

as long as your pulling a trailer that is legal, the clamp you pointed too is not the dangerous one, you have a crimped chamber on the dangerous end, piggyback all of them, the rest will follow soon with failure, just like the rotten rubber on the air bags.
My heart sank as I watched Martin pull away and Alice was left standing there. Of course Martin was watching Alice disappear in the rear view mirror. That is sometimes the time that sucks or one or both glad to get a break from each other. There is benefits when there are times when your apart. Do you guys not buy those prepared meals any more. I hear your eating a lot of quick trip prepared food. Most guys would have been in a pickle with that one brake pot blowing out, but not Martin. The quick fix costed ya nothing just a bit of your time. It’s the little things sometimes cost the most. Plus a late delivery and fuel to keep the temp down in the reefer. One of the reason why Trucking Together is so successful, you keep your money in your pocket. If you blow it all away just to truck, what’s the point. Anywho guys, great video. Have a great and safe day, happy trails to you, D…
Just another ad for bonehead truckers, at least you didnt go for a cheeeese burger and a sodeee water. I guess the slippers had to match the trailer. Alice, they need a red stripe to match Tiny, what do you think, eh??

A dime fits perfectly in the air fitting 🤫

It leaks air still, not as bad but still slight leak. I rather pinch it off.

Yes they break and usually at the worse places or times
Just unscrew the line and drop a brake shoe rivet in there or a big head screw that works well to

Didn’t have a dime. I’ve had them adjust back up to spec and drag since they’re autos. Didn’t wanna deal with that.

The diesel at one truck stop isn't better than another. I used to haul diesel and it all comes from the same refinery outta the same hose.
Basically what I'm saying is in a regional area it all comes from the same place. Truck stops don't own their own separate refineries

Hey Martin, how often you change the crankcase filter????
Never. They no longer have a filter, it’s just a check valve deal. They did away with the actual filter back in 2011-12 because it kept plugging.
