If you want to find junk this in my opinion is the best thing to find it with ,I had one of these as my first detector the discrimination was unbelievably terrible it drove me mental I sent it back and changed it for a Garrett at the time and started finding loads .
Lol I had the 3mx as my first detector & luckily I didn't jack in detecting due to the amount if shite I was finding. Brought a teknetics t2 and I never dug iron again lol

I dig tons of junk with all detectors. The Older style 2 MX has got good reviews . i had a 5 mx and dug too much iron.
