My brother was 50 yrs old when he died from cancer. He loved Santana and this song. About two weeks before he passed I drove him to the beach all while listening to this song as the sun touched against our faces. We listened to this loud and it was so beautiful. I'll always remember this drive with my brother and how he jammed to this song. Thanks for your reaction. It brought back great memories ❤
My deepest condolences. Lymphoma cancer nearly took me when I was 50. Eight chemo sessions saved me. I also lost my baby brother at the young age of 50.... Sudden heart failure. No warning. R.I.P., Shawn.
it sounds like your brother and youself made your souls touch with god during this specific moment with the song, connecting on a spiritual level that will make you always feel one to your brother as if he where alive whenever you remember this.. your story is full of love, no sadness.. god bless you
Beautiful!
Deepest condolences as well….may he have peace.
Way too young
So beautiful. The most amazing tone to his guitar. Instantly recognisable but always fresh and new. Speaks to the soul. ❤
This song is special to me. My father loved this song. When I was learning guitar I learned it for him. He's no longer with us, but I still play the song all the time for him. I get goosebumps every time.
My dad is the reason I love Santana too.
@@tamifaulkner4103 in my case he's not dead already but he made me wanna learn guitar and a few days ago i was supposed to receive my first electric guitar but there was a probleme with the delivery, anyway he showed me that song and i immediately loved it,learning it at the moment
My father listened to Santana since I was a baby, Europe is almost a lullaby to me. My father still lives, and we continue to listen to Carlos Santana together ❤
Beautiful
Santana is in a league of his own 🖤🎶🌏🌎🌍🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤💜✝️
Bought the Santana album Moonflower back in the 70s and wore the grooves out of the Europa track. Still have the album.
Love that album.. I too bought it when it first came out!
This version is not from Moonflower but Moonflower is, also my favorite Santana album along with Inner Secrets with the great Greg Walker on vocals. I saw the Moonflower tour at the Palladium in NYC. It was a midnight show and they played til 4 in the morning. One of the greatest shows I've ever seen. ✌
I would say that the live Moonflower version is better than the studio version.
Toussaint L' Overture too, which closes out the album 💥💥
His tone is unmistakable. Nobody can sustain a note like Carlos. I absolutely love this song and your reaction. Cheers!
It has been two years since my last comment on this video and after seeing many many many more reactions to this song you guys still have by far the best reaction on UA-cam for this particular song and it's not even close.
Hello Dude’s!! Confession time! I went to an all day concert at the Texas State Fair in Dallas. I don’t remember the year, but ZZ Top was the closing act and I am a huge ZZ Top fan. Okay so all day we sat there with all of these famous bands, and here comes Santana. At the time I was not that familiar with his music. He played song after song after song and didn’t stop between songs. I looked at my brother and asked, this is the longest song I have ever heard, when will he move on to another song? My Bro said, you idiot, this is like the 6th song. I said, Well. excuse me dumbo, I don’t know his music! He rolled his eyes (yes we still fight like that to this day!) It gets worse. Soooo, I take a book everywhere I go and in the middle of Santana’s set I took out my book and started to read! My Bro was scandalized, he said, put that book away before we are all on the jumbo tron! I said, nope and continued to read. 😂 I know much more about Santana now and wish I would have appreciated the moment more. ❤️
I was at that same show, went to all the Jams in Dallas back in the late 70‘s and all thru the 80’s, believe Steve Miller was at this one as well😎it’s a little foggy in my memory, lol
This has always been my favorite Santana song by far! The title of the song is perfect, whenever I hear this song it is like something takes me soaring through the heavens. I can't begin to tell you how many times I have requested this song from other reactors. I thank you two soooo much for doing it, you made my day!👍
I grew up in San Diego listening to Santana in the 70s. Nothing better for smooth. He was from Tijuana Mexico. He to this day remembers his roots. Amazing player and genuine guy. MORE PLEASE. DAILY FOR. ME....
@@mstewart109 I grew up a little farther north in the San Fernando Valley and we visited T.J. in the mid/late 60s as late teens 😁
This is one of his best... Try song of the wind. It's right up there with Europa
The actual title of the song is Europa (Earth's Cry Heaven's Smile)
The actual title of the song is “Emporte Moi”
Santana is a super good human being and so much that he invited a 10 year old guitar playing prodigy, Taj Farrant, from Australia, to play with him in a live concert in Las Vegas. If you want to support a fellow you tuber as well as Santana, and see an astonishing young young kid pay, check it out.
Just watched the video. 10 years old! Amazing.
His guitar is like a voice! Singing! He is AMAZING!
His music is so soothing, he is a true master on that guitar. I remember when my dad brought home the album with black magic woman on it
I have been fortune to have seen Santana Live 4 times. Always an incredible performance. You want to see Carlos have all of Mexico City Dancing to "Samba Pa Ti"... (Dance party) Live In Mexico City... Make sure it is this Live version..... Samba Pa Ti - Santana (Live in Mexico)
The sustain on that guitar is just mind blowing
Loved Santana since my teens during the 70's. This is from the wonderful album "Moonflower" Santana was of course at Woodstock. His albums are so varied and brilliant. My 1st ever album I bought was called "Caravanserai" and it is amazing. His use of the sustain is only equaled by the incredible Robin Trower.
This is the studio version which is on "Amigos".
Ndugu Chancler on drums, Tom Coster on keyboards, Armando Peraza on congas and David Brown on bass.
He makes the guitar weep... 😭 Late great Gato Barbieri covered this with the sax. Always makes me cry. such passion
So Beautiful! Enough said! So cool to see U young boys experiencing such Masterful Music of my youth!!!
Carlos Santana o orgulho dos Latinos americanos juntamente com o Bob Marley, no mundo da música internacional.
First time I saw Santana was in Montreal in 1977. Check out his "Samba Pa Ti" for more of his epic bars. His M.O. has always been crystal clear guitar notes on top of his skilled picking.
Samba pa ti for sure!
I saw Santana 4 times in my life. This has always been my favorite in concert song, with them...I go way back with Santana, but I still get chills when I hear this..There is something about this particular number that makes the hair on the back of my neck stands on end..To hear them do it live is an experience, all in itself..Samba Pa Ti is incredible, as well.
Carlos is at the top of the mountain with all his music… Transcends time and space, absolutely unbelievable every time I listen to his music, will never get old!
This, and Samba Te.... two absolutely beautiful songs by Carlos Santana. Both incredible! Carlos makes his guitar, CRY... and its wonderful!
Of course this is fantastic, I love this song.. Listen to song of the wind. And Bella is another good one
Favorite song by santana ever ❤️
Great! Santana es el mejor!1 Un abrazo desde Lima, Peru, yo toco la guitarra como el!!
Are you sure?
boy, when i bought this double album (moonflower) in 1977, i was blown away. there´s many great tracks on it, a similar great instrumental track is the titular "moonflower".
One of my favorite Carlos ' songs...amazing chill!
This has always been my favorite Santana song from the very first time I heard it. Your reaction to "Europa" is the first I've come across. You guys had the same reaction as me. As soon as he starts playing this song, NOTHING else matters for the next 6 minutes. This made my day and Thank You So Much.
👍👍🏆🏆
Europa is also a moon of Jupiter, as spectacular as this song.
I saw this live - almost makes you cry.
Gives me the chills every time - an absolute classic.
I used to get hypnotized in his album covers alone. You should look at the album covers and see what you can find inside his album cover pictures.
This is a "slow dance with your lady " piece in the beginning then passion! 😉
It doesn't get much better than this! But here's a couple that are just as good - "Song Of The Wind", "Flame Sky", "Samba PA Ti"
Hi guys, new subscriber here! Here's one I doubt you've watched: It's "The Who - Young Man Blues, Isle of Wight 1970". They are live in concert. INCREDIBLE POWER. You will love it, trust me.
One of my favorites by Santana, the other is Maria Maria. Reminds me of hanging out in spanish harlem with music everywhere.
Santana is so good.. I love these guitar instrumental masterpieces.. Another one of my favorites is Stevie Ray Vaughan's "Riviera Paradise".. You guys should check it out..
And David Gilmore 👍
Back in the day I have experienced the trip that Santana has presented " live" at least 4 or 5 times during my younger daze! Fantastic daze!
We grew up listening to him… it put us in a trance… this is talent.
Awesome reaction! Carlos Santana is a musical healer and a melody master. I'm sure you'd love Transcendance from the Moonflower album. Superb vocals from Greg Walker and an awesome solo by Carlos. I know Santana through and through and man, that's one of my favorite songs.
Love your channel, guys. Top quality all the way. Keep it up. You will grow way beyond this, there's no doubt.
Carlos is one of the greatest guitarists of our time...this performance proves my point.
Nice reaction guys, I'm a new subscriber from The Netherlands, really love your content and open minds to all kinds of music! Did you check out 'Song of the wind' on the album 'Caravanserai' by Santana yet?
My favorite Santana song.
Love this beautiful Santana song. It does take you on such a long, sweet emotional journey. So smooth and chill. Thanks guys for posting this gem. Great reaction and comments❤
When I die, I want this song played at my funeral.
Chills man chills
I’d give anything to listen to Europa for the first time again…
I first heard this song when I was 13 from my older brothers, I'm 55 now. I played this as my wedding song. It's the best trip, it's gold.
Hacia años que no la escuchaba. Me han saltado las lagrimas, joder...
I bought their self-titled album in 1969 & still listen today ♥️🎸🎶🔥♥️
Loved your reactions❤
Wonderful 🎸🇲🇽💓Carlos Saantaanaaa 💋Thankyou💋
What a wonderful way to start my evening 💕
Thanks guys 👦
CARLITOS SANTANA de Mexico para el mundo
The guitar speaks !!!
What a great guitar tone.... it is truly superb.
Thanks for covering the original on Amigos!!!
1970s Carlos Santana = heaven
Amazing reaction guys
If Carlos Santana had been born British, he would be ranked up there with Page or Clapton.
Omg I love this song gives me chills thank you
Amazing song, one of my top favorites soooo relaxing... also El Farol
Awwww, my favourite song by Santana. Love it. Greetings from Europa ;O)
Love Santana. His playlist is deep. You love great guitar, I'd love to see you react to Joe Bonamassa live at The Greek Theater doing "Angel of Mercy". You will be blown away.
May I request "Taboo" from "Santana III"? Killer song with 2 guitar solos split between Carlos Santana and Neal Schon (later in the band Journey), I guess...
Great song! Awesome dude! ✌️❤️🇨🇦🎸
You guys haven't done Santana's "Oye Como Va."
He's good. Wanna hear a marvelous cover of it???? Eliane Elias - ua-cam.com/video/_mnTPUiKowc/v-deo.html
@@fadguru thanks!
The live version from "Moonflower" double album is even better.
A truly wonderful performance.
Good reaction...like your State shirt!
This is literally porn for the soul... This song can be played for any occasion, for anyone. These chords, these notes are the glue that tells of the entirety of the human condition. It rises, it falls, it sails and... and... and... $hit, no more words...
Imagine how many children was product during listening this song. 😉
Similar to Je t'aime from Jane Birkin and Gainsborough. 😀😍
Check it out 👍
THATS CHICANO POWER BEST MUSIC EVER --SANTANA
Masterpiece
The live version from Moonflower is one of their best live renditions of that song.
Saludos, Great reaction, please react to BAND MAID, the best rock band in the World, Santana is Kanami's favorite guitarist, she is Band-Maid's guitarist
Santana is legendary and among the gods of Rock n' Roll!!!! Hahahaha....lol...hahahaha.....Great song!!!!
top 10 all time guitarist
Thanks guys, brings back memories. Check out their cover of She's Not There on Moonflower album.
i'm going to watch this video. hope you enjoyed it as i am going to ;)
Check out Gato Barbieris version of Europa playing the sax.
Without words
Santana's tone and Santana's sustain ! 🎸
Just wow. Incredible 😎
I must say that it's harder to make an electric instrument sound soulful than a natural instrument, like wooden or brass sound. That's why even electric guitar is simple enough and fun to make it sound "cool", not many can make it sound "alive".
YEAH BABY!!!
Check out Journey’s “Of A Lifetime” first song from their first album. 3 albums before Steve Perry joined the band. This was Neil Schonn and Greg Rollie right after they left Santana to form their own band. The Santana influence is obvious, and they were amazing. You won’t be disappointed
SAMBA PA TI , ANOTHER WORK OF GENIUS, SANTANA....A MUST PLAY
Europa : Earth’s Cry , Heaven’s Smile…
Roy Buchanan 😉
You guys have to listen to Transcendence next by Santana. You will enjoy it!!
If you like this version you MUST listen to Gato Barbieri’s version. OMG!!
Love this song
Guys, you need to listen to Transcendence from Santana next. Next after that I would recommend Song of the Wind by Santana.
Un gran artista como MUCHOS a dado México al MUNDO, pero no son conocidos.
El desde luego es el mejor de lo mejor.....
Hope you heard the homage to Fly MeTo The Moon in the beginning.
About time someone did this Iconic Santana song. Remember that Santana is not a vocal singer. His guitar sings!
