    I own the exact same bike. Very similar situation. Original owner never rode it. 377 original miles. I put new tires, chain & sprockets, all fluids changed. Runs great. I need to do the complete exhaust system upgrade, along with a sprocket change, re-jetting and go from there. Stage 2 hot cam has been recommended also. Nice bike! #TEAMHONDA 🏁🤘

    Hi! Glad for you! I have one of these.
    For the uncork, 68s slow jet, 175 main, intake should be unrestricted( it comes gutted between airbox and carb) should get the restrictors out of the airbox out, (at the top two sockets in the airbox, air cleaner side), and , the "hrc exhaust tip, hard to find, but look on the net, it can be handcrafted. On the 2000's from what I know, there is a oil bushing like passage in the clutch, which was updated I think later on, check that. After these, see how it feels breathing for real, and do come back and tell us, about it:). There will be a difference. Nice garage over there. With this one, regular oil changes, a real handlebar, and you will know why you bought it.

    Congrats! I got my hands on one 6 months ago, fixed some bugs here and there, but man these machines truck on anything you throw it at! I am a short dude 5'7" 180 lbs, so its not bad... I guess because i've ridden a Triumph Scrambler before so this is a treat as far as capabilities and weight differences go.

      Yeah for a bike with this kind of power it definitely has a nice weight ratio compared to other “duel sports” I’ve Ridden

    As long as your carb and valves(I'd check these before doing anything on it, they are picky) are set right and you follow the starting procedure it should be easy to start. I really like the way he did the hand guards! They have surprisingly good road manners for a "dual sport"

      Thank you I appreciate that. Looking forward to road rides on this bike. The valves to me sounded a little louder than I’d like so that is something I need to look at

      @@SubscibeBikeGiveaway they are fairly chunky and ticky on idle even when the clearance is right too though. Don't let a little noise worry you.

    I have a XR400R. Really want a crf250f or xr250r. I need a cr250r also. I have a crf100f my girls bike lol. Sick collection of my favorite bikes of all time. I wanna build my collection to at least that bikes I stated.

      Yeah we have a lot of bikes at the moment at some point we will thing the herd but I’ll be keeping the 650r and my custom 200. Maybe even the 400r as well. Hard to let nice bikes go

    Best most valuable upgrade will be a Keihin FCR 41. It will awake that machine.

      Stock is best. The FCR makes it too snappy and it will wear your ass out on long rides. I raced one in the 06 baja 500 and we got 8th in the pro over 30 and 22nd overall. I know a thing or 2 about these bikes. Billet choke plate, a good slip on exhaust and check if it has the open carb boot to the head, needle, pilot and main jet and put a new countershaft seal the 1st years had a issue and the part has been updated. Xrs only or Precision concepts will prob have every thing in stock you need

    Great , what is better xr 400 , 600 or 650r ?

      @SubscibeBikeGiveaway  Рік тому

      I’ve never ridden the xr600 but I’ve heard good things all around. The 650r is an improvement on the 600 for a few reasons. The 400 is a fun lighter weight bike with nice power. I think they all have there place. Personally I need more time on the 400 and 650 before I make I decision on what I like better. I’ll make a video on it one day
