What nobody knew was that using Delusions actually costs the user their life force and accelerates aging. Teppei doesnt realise this and ends up practically dying at the Traveler's arms, which fuels their hatred for the Fatui on a more personal level, leading them to storm one of the factories and encounter Scaramouche.
I remember the first time I arrived at Liyue and I spoke with random NPCs and was just utterly confused how Liyue was pronounced differently every single time.
