the stabilisation on the iphone is better but the audio, colour correction and autofocus feels better on the s9 to me.... the iPhone got SLAUGHTERED in the low light test too..fantastic review dude

Thanks for the awesome comment and also for watching, glad you found the video good and yes indeed stabilisation in 4K specifically is not that great at the moment but can improve by the retail mode and software updates but in 1080 it works like a charm.
The audio recorded on the iPhone X, was of poor quality.

Paul Timothy Lavado I wouldn't give Colour to the IPhone X, it did well but it's also changing the colours (white balance, saturation and ect...) when changing focus. Which is a bit annoying.

Something wrong with the test. Either you did not set images stabilization correct in settings on the S9 or the test example of S9 was defect.
My Note 8 with images Stabilization correct setup would never give these bad videos.
Everything was set as the settings on the camera would allow it and tbh I have a retail mode Note 8 which I use and the extreme stablisation test behaves in a similar way. If in doubt check my other Note 8 camera tests on the channel and you can see for Yourself

Anyway it's not easy for us to judge only by see picture and video results displayed on a smartphone screen.
I think tha cameras on today's top smartphones is so equally that it's up to personal preference what we like.
Personally i go for my Note 8 camera because all the possibilities. But it can very easy to make vrong setup in settings.
Do i go for Galaxy S9?
No. Because the i miss at the glory of the rest of the Note funktionallities.
Maybe Note 9.

Thanks man and usually I try to always reply quick and engage with my audience as much as possible. And indeed I’m more of a Note user since the Note 2 so as much as I like the S series, I LOVE the Note even more and for sure I say that smartphone cameras as I kelt stating and usually state in my camera tests that it is all down to personal choice always. Iphone mic is awful compared to s9
Yea the mic on the iPhone is not that good
The iPhone has mono audio recording in video mode not stereo and also the volume is low and the noise cancelling/reduction is too aggressive and messes up the audio experience in video shooting mode.
To my ears the S8 Plus sounded louder from the same distance🤔
I don't think this is a fair comparison... Galaxy s9+ should have been the appropriate device...

Been waiting for the S9 plus, coming from the S7 Edge that I got on the release date almost 2 years ago. It's getting a bit sluggish and battery life isn't what it used to be. I'll pay more than the S8 but should be worth it.
S9+ is worth the upgrade for sure and you will enjoy it man👊🏿

Alan Silva the rear camera uses the mic on the back and the bottom. But the front uses the regular one. The back one by the flash is there because, youre recording video. Audio comes via that way.other then that you have a point. But as always (personally) iphone sadly has better audio.... samsung is kinda known for having sad speakers. Gotta say the only phone thats ever really got me shook is the htc m7
OverKnight 52 indeed. I always use Samsung for many other reasons but audio is something really subpar in Samsung phones, both in speakers and headphones. I never feel completely fulfilled listening to music in my Samsung phones.
But my point is that iPhones are the best smartphones for video recording, and audio still mono?
Personal preference I like the s9. Bet the + would be even better.

Everything is better on the S9. And it's impressive how bad the iPhone front cam is. Now, There's a book (series) you definitely NEED to read. It's *"Apple, the Forbidden Truth"...* It's on Amazon. *WARNING*: You may hate Apple products, iFanboys and some of the tech media after reading it.
The real battle must be in low light shots .Now days almost every phone can take good picture in good light.

from bezelless amoled, fast charging, water resistance, hope their success in graphene battery, now in camera have variables apertures.. clearly samsung is a "limit breaker" company.. i hope they will got a good software engineer in the future and put tizen os in the phone..

I would say that galaxy is much better at lowlight video and selfie, but iPhone makes much better photos on main camera in any scenario just because of colors. Video in daylight is pretty equal: galaxy is sharper, but jiggles a lot and iPhone has smoother stabilization but not such sharp picture.

Personal preference: Samsung; cheaper, and still matches up.
But the S9+ for sure would have matched up to the portrait mode on rear cam.
The iPhone X did this weird thing during your focus test, it made the background warmer in colour, when the focus was nearer. And that audio was bad on the iPhone X, was the mic hole covered at all?

Another thing alot of people don't realize yet, is that Samsungs new dual apature is defaulting to 2.4 during the day which is why the daytime pictures are so sharp. Since no other phone has a dual apature like this, your seeing other flagship "stuck" at their 1.7 or 1.8 for daytime shots. I've seen some early comparison videos to the note 8 and the difference in sharpness is noticeable on the S9. That's amazing considering it's still a 12mp camera.

Iphone X adds contrast which will look more appealing to people. at 15:35 the S9 whips the Iphones butt when it comes to the sensor picking up more data and info from what it sees. You can just increase the vibrance in post editing here. However you cannot underexpose the Iphone picture to restore the head reflection...

I know for sure that Samsung love to add saturation to the photos, so while they loose natural colours gain vibrancy which people tend to like more. I, however, prefer natural colours everytime. The X has better stabilization, but the s9 looks better and doesn't loose focus when running like the iPhone X which had no focus to speak of.
Night Time video the s9 had better stabilization and just kick the ass completely of the Notch X.

Not the S9 Plus, too big for my pockets plus the S9 as it is will tear up my wallet! They are bloody expensive man. Is why I'm still thinking about pre-ordering it, but knowing me I'll get too excited lol.

Audio and low light are not great on iPhone but the stabilisation is decent👌🏿
