Mixed emotions of feeling sad the vacation if over, but celebrating the blessing of being able to take the vacation. Going back to family and there is always the excitement of planning your next vacation. Roller coaster of emotions but all worth it.
Oh man that’s not good. My wife Tonya is similar in that about day 3 or 4 she starts feeling bloated and can’t really eat much from that point on. We always try to do our special dining early like day one or two so she can still enjoy it
As for me, when I retire and take a cruise, disembarkation day will be time to get off the ship and back in my motorhome and go camping near the beach or in a National or State Park. It would be a sad day in the beginning because the cruise is over, but a happy day with RV camping. Just because the cruise is over does not mean my vacation ends. There is no one size fits all for disembarkation. If you have a flight to catch and you are traveling solo with one piece of luggage, then you may find it better to grab a quick bite to eat and get off the boat self assisted. However, if you are in no hurry, have a hotel reserved and drove to the cruise terminal or if you have your motorhome or rv in storage or at a campground and drove to the terminal in your toad vehicle to the cruise terminal, then you can take your time and enjoy one last hot breakfast and have them take your luggage to the baggage claim and pick it up when you get off the ship.
We are platinum as well. You can get an earlier debark and should get lower number debark tags to put on your luggage. We also like to get off late at times and not fight any crowds
