- I wanted to show you guys how I do a quick, messy bun when I'm in a hurry. I think messy buns are so easy and effortless looking, plus just cool! I have really fine and thin hair, so this is a perfect tutorial if you have a similar hair type and struggle getting volume and texture in your buns. I hope you enjoy!! xx

Omg.belle Isnt it crazy we will attempt a "messy effortless" bun or hairstyle a million times but it ends up taking so much effort? So funny when you think about it, yes I want an effortless, "I just got out of bed" look that took me 2hrs to actually pull off haha

I have SUPER thin hair and i thought i could never wear a messy bun cause it looked flat and tiny and awful and i googled "messy bun with thin hair" and this girl right here SAVED MY LIFE. did the same steps and i have the cutest messy bun ever as i type this. the simple tip of adding hairspray beforen brushing it out, then teasing it before putting it up was really the gamechanger. ive never seen those tips before

No exaggeration, this video just changed my life. I’m 25 and have never mastered the messy bun. My thin, straight hair just does not like to bend, let alone “fluff.” Whatever that wrist motion is that Julia does as she wraps the band around the first time just changed the game for me. Feels good knowing I’m not the only one with super fine, thin hair that literally does not do anything!! It’s naturally pin straight too so it doesn’t even hold a curl! 😩
YES! I can have my hair in curlers, soaked in spray for 2 days and within an hour of taking it out it's nearly straight again 🙃

OMG THANK YOU. Your the only one I’ve found with hair just like mine (super straight and fine) this helped so much
I've tried a lot of methods and this is still the easiest and best. My hair is shorter and slightly thicker (or maybe just damaged from going blonde lol) and I like to use your exact method but with an "invisi-bobble", loosen it a bit and then tuck any floppy ends back under the hair tie. I also find if I first put it into a regular pony first and gently back comb the pony with my fingers before attempting the bun, it works great every time! No Bobby pins needed. :)

I just take a scrunchie, do a bunch of folding, and wrap the scrunchie around the mess I created. There’s my messy bun tutorial 🤪

I much prefer scrunchies to elastic bands, any day. They barely pull out 1 or 2 single hairs or none at all.
Compared to elastic bands, that end up ripping out at least 6, 8 or 10 hairs whilst trying to style it. And again afterwards, when trying to get the band out.

I used to have SUPER thick hair, like it couldn't have possibly been any thicker. I used to complain cuz it would feel so heavy on my head. Now I miss it as life can be stressful & because of that my hair has gotten really thin over the past few years 😩 So I love that this tutorial is actually finally for someone with thin hair 💜

It turned out cute finally!!! I actually used dry shampoo instead of hair spray and it worked good on giving it some texture since when my hair is clean it’s harder to do if that makes sense
