You two are the best, I love your honestly and business ethic - I just shared your video to a group of forward thinking filmmakers. rock on!
Wow! Thank you so much for your spreading the word Marco! So nice of you.
Well I originally came for the sounds but stayed for the quality of the videos...so big thumbs up for Libby. Congratulations on reaching 10,000 plus 👏👏👏...that truly is an achievement and a well deserved one. Your content is really watchable and captured and edited so well. Anyway, onwards and upwards as they say 👍
Thank you so much and is so nice reading your comments and knowing you are around. That means a lot to us and it motivates us to create more meaningful content that is focused on sound.
You guys have an awesome mindset about making UA-cam video! Wish, I can be more like you guys when making videos, that excitement to contagious and feed me. I post more videos. Thanks guys!
Thank you so much and that really means a lot. If we could inspire you to make more videos, we all win. So get out and start filming :). Oh and don’t forget about the sound ;)
I'm so happy for you, I know you guys are at 43k now but my YT channel just got monetization recently and that feels so good, I know exactly what you were feeling when that happened! :)
Macht weiter so!
Oh!! Immer was los. :) Gruesse nach Berlin. Vielleicht komme ich naechstes Jahr vorbei.
I loved the video. I did watch it all and thank you for the surprise. Your energy is amazing. It has made me want to include better audio in my videos. Stay safe and warm.
Ah thank you so much for your support and audio is so important. We are on our way to Cappadocia and it’s freezing. :) Happy Holiday.
You two inspired me to pick up a recorder and find sounds. I’ve found it’s a wonderful treasure hunt.
Oh that is so cool! Have fun hunting and enjoy the process.
@@FreeToUseSounds it is wonderful. Never realized how many different and amazing sounds are around us every day. Thank you for all you do.
@@markpullar8159 So true! If you ever pick up a hydrophone, contact microphone or the Geofon you will be suprised what else is around us. :)
@@FreeToUseSounds I’m hoping one day for sure. Your stealth recording video with lav mics is amazing. I plan on trying that next. It seems like some cool sounds will be found.
That's great. I too saw that there weren't any good videos on youtube that focus on sound. I tried to create those videos but it went a different trajectory and I created a new channel for that content. I'm glad to see a channel that does focus on sound. You guys have great content.
#Love! Please keep this inspiration up! Thanks!
Good for u guys! Congrats and keep it up.
:)
Happy holidays!!
Thank you! Happy holidays to you too!!
I found you on UA-cam recently and I love your sound library!
Thank you so much!! Working on the next one already :). Stay tuned.
Thanks for the great video on your findings about your UA-cam channel. It’s definitely inspirational. The discography and coupon worked well too. Awesome sound all around. 👍🏿😎
So glad you watched it until the end and thank you for your support! :)
You are amazing! :) Thanks so much! :)
Thank you and nice seeing you here Hristo. :)
I just wanted to let you know that your library helped me a great deal when I was starting out, and had to do everything by myself. Thankfully, I've managed to put together a small sound design team, which took this part of the process off my plate, and they use your sounds. So, thank you, and congrats on the milestone! Keep it moving
Hi Iz! That is really cool to know that our sounds helped you get started and hopefully still do in the future.
i love your channel. as a field recording enthusiast, your channel is a big inspiration. you guys are good at what you do. continue on!
Thank you so much and that’s so nice to hear. Happy Holidays. ♥️
I always enjoy your videos. Glad to see your hard work is paying off. Hope your channel goes from strength to strength!
Thank you so much Mike and your comment! We are excited about the future and see where it goes with us and the channel. Happy Holidays.
Congrars for your 35,9 thousand followers! That's a lot of people!
Thank you! But followers that won’t come back are hurting a channel. As long as the view rate is slow you won’t make more money just with followers.
I'm new to following your channel. It's cool to see every year you get about 10k more subs! I love the couple angle too. It's endearing. Keep up the great videos!
So happy for both of you and incredible journey to 10k and I look forward to seeing this channel grow exponentially in the future. Love the content!!
Thank you so much!! We are excited What are excited about the future. We hope you come along with us on this journey. :)
I love this channel .... and your hard work paid off... Love it ...
Thank you so much!!
Thank you so much Guys!! This is a great video and I love how you just tell it like it is. All your videos are excellent quality and I love how you show how and what you record.
Many thanks from Australia 🇦🇺
Thank you so much for watching and sharing on Instagram :)
You guys have inspired me to pursue my passion.
You two are so awesome and inspiring! I love the positivity yoi both have, it's addicting. I even fully watch all the adds to contribute to your overall revenue lol. I love sounds and I would love to learn more about field recording. New subscriber here! Thank you and I look forward to more of your videos!
Thank you! We don't put too many adds in and if you are on mobile, YT puts in some extra adds to make you sign up for the premium. Not so cool :(
Thank you guys for making this channel! Such a blessing! I'm so inspired to go and get out there as a sound freak. Recording certain sounds gives me the same feeling as when I'm playing or recording music. I hope that you may inspire more future field recorders out there!
Thank you so much for watching and your nice comment. Have fun exploring and recording sounds :)
Love you guys! You rock!
Thank you :)))
Nice to hear your story. Good luck for you.
Thank you!
Love you and love your work.
Thank you.
Many thanks to the both of you! A very interesting breakdown.
I wholeheartedly agree with you about sound recording not getting enough exposure. All the best and I look forward to maybe seeing you out there one of these days.
Thanks guys, your videos are always entertaining and informative. i am glad that I helped with a tiny bit of revenue by watching.
Looking forward to 2021 and what your channel has to offer. happy new year
Hi John! Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment. That really helps a lot. We are excited what 2021. New videos are coming for sure. :)
This is such a great channel! Thank you! :)

I’ve been watching you guys for few weeks now n I love it learnt about new microphones new ways to record and edit
Thanks you guys ❤️
That is so great to hear! :) We have more videos to come.
I just saw your extensive sound library ! Wow! The amount of effort you have put into the recordings and these UA-cam videos definitely deserves my $23. Just Purchased the All in One Bundle. Now understanding the importance of sound when making content - thankyou for your lessons and instruction.
Oh thank you so much John! That is so much appreciated. Also remember its a living library. If I add new recordings, you have access to them too without any extra pay.
thankyou libby and marcel! you are innovators, entrepreneurs and artists! keep going and stay safe. ur fan, j.
Yay!! Thank you for the kind words!! Thanks for making the first comment!! :)))
Excellent. I stumbled upon a couple of your videos and watched them through - very informative, very well filmed and presented. I am aware of just how important sound is in the film making process and yet I know I need to constantly remind myself this, and perhaps make more effort to leave the camera at home and just go walkabout with the sound recorder to improve this discipline. You are great teachers and motivators. ....I've bookmarked, ....and I've subscribed.
I love your attitude! And i really didn't expect that you make this much with 10k subscribers. More like something around nothing ;)
That all depends on the content but we are happy we could shine some light behind the curtain. :)
This felt like the most genuine I've ever watched on youtube :D. Could you do video about budget gear for beginners and how to use it most effectively, like zoom h1n or some micrcophone.
Hi Šimon! Thank you so much for watching and your kind words. Actually we made a video about the Zoom H1n and recording with the binaual microphones in Istanbul. It is one of our latest videos. Here is the link ua-cam.com/video/xDFCaJN_-sk/v-deo.html
@@FreeToUseSounds Thanks I just discovered your channel :D I have a tip for new revenue stream, you could try selling your sound effects on stores for video game developers like unity or unreal engine 4 marketplaces. There developers buy many assets for their games and good sound effects are always in need. I think there you could get exposure.
Oh yes I know Unity but this is really more for mastered sound effects and sound design if it comes to sound. Game developers who are looking for ambience recording are going direct to my stores either on Bandcamp or on my main website. The reasons why I don't use Unity are the lower file format, upload regulations and waiting for approving. Also they can reject your uploads and all the work was for nothing.
Thank you so much for the content.
Thank you Phillip!
You have an awesome channel with useful high quality content presented in a very nice understandable and kinda slow manor.
I love it! 🙏🏻😘
I'm glad that I watched it all, very intresting, very inspirational !
I've started to build music with some field recording I've done, and I really enjoy it, but, I'm not as good as you are and don't have time to make music, and field recording for now. So, thanks to you I will be able tu use some very high quality sounds and get to know what I like and what I need to buy, or to learn, maybe, where I need to go, so, when the time will come, my own field recording would be more targeted.
Also, you both have very enjoyable personnalities ! Thanks !
subscribed...also I bought ur collections, u r doing incredible work
Thank you so much Sankar! That’s means a lot.
Hi Libby and Marcel ! I am now one of your new subscriber since a few days ago . I love your videos . Keep it coming ! You guys are unique !
Thank you so much! We have a new video coming up today :)
thank you amigos! You are great.
Thank you so much for your videos!! They have helped me so much with learning more about field recording.
Great to hear that :)

Thank you :)
I love your Chanel, wow!
Also wirklich richtig gut und informativ XD Ich bin noch ganz am Anfang des Recordings und Sounddesigns aber es macht so viel Spaß!
Thank you for watching and yes sound design is awesome and its incredible what you can do with sounds these days.
You two are awesome!
Thank you Gordon. :) Happy New Year.
Happy I found you. Sound is underrated in video production.
Oh yes for sure.
Indeed it is a thing I noticed: you always answer! Very nice
That is what I signed up for being a creator o UA-cam and something I love doing. :)
Hi, I subscribed to your channel about 1.5 years ago and like all that I watch to try to help out. I thought I'd let you know why I like your content. My guess was about a third of what your daily revenue was. Congratulations on your accomplishment. I found your channel after searching the keywords: field recording, recording foley and field recording equipment. I write fiction stories and record the audio and add sound effects and environmental sounds to pull the listener in. There are many studio foley clips on youtube but not many sound focused clips recording the environment and specific equipment to capture each area. Your videos really assist people who are new to sound recording or shifting from a studio to full immersion in the real world. Lastly, I like your enthusiasim for sound recording. I geek out about this stuff too and have people look at me weird when I record in public and when people at work ask what I did over my weekend, they think I'm nuts recording things like gates, doors, footsteps, city sounds etc. You are both very authentic and an adorable couple. Good luck moving your passion for recording and business upwards.
I just started my adventure in Audio Recording a few weeks ago so you guys are a god send to me as I get started. All the best.
oh dear, you two are so sweet and flood the world with deep and valuable insights. congrats to all your success, well deserved!
Thank you for your uplifting comment!
You are really awesome! Inspiring and encouraging! Thanks a lot 🙏... By the way, I forgot to comment on the bag video! I can tell you that the Peakdesign travel backpack is great, it's made for photography but I use it also for my music and recording equipment. And has an expanding/foldable extra 10 liters. Plenty of pockets and storage, ykk zippers and it's also waterproof without needing extra coverage. 😉 oh and Merry Christmas!
Hi! I'm going to watch a video about this bag right now and yes Peak Design is a great company. We use some products and remember when they started out on Kick Starter just a couple years ago. Merry Christmas to you too. :)
I like very much your transparency and the genuine feel of your channel and your global approach (whether it is with field recording, or with the UA-cam video ect). I find it funny as well to see through the videos how Libby and Marcel, you have both different ways to process or organize things in your head and how it does work well together. Libby looks like she has a written plan and stick to it and Marcel looks more erratic but with a plan as well :) Anyways, I think it is a great balance and it keeps a dynamic as well in your channel. Thank you for your commitment, thank you Libby for the quality of the videos, it is very appreciable because it permits to communicate easier your ideas with people, make it accessible. Thank you for all the sound experimentation Marcel and about your passion for field recording. And thank you both for your positive energy 🙂
and we thank you for such lovely comment. You nailed it.
Great video! thanks :)
Thank you for watching.
We are always looking for ways to improve audio in our own channel and your channel is a great help! Thank you for all the tips and tricks and advice! Best wishes from Iceland.
So glad to hear that :)
such a great channel... even if I don´t need any sounds right now, it´s pretty interesting to get all the informations regarding "sounds"
Glad you found us and yes there isn't much information about field recording on UA-cam so we try to cover what we have learned over the years.
You guys are so lovely. I love your positivity. You must some of the most frugal world travelers in the history of traveling the world. I hope you have a wonderful holiday and continued success at what you're doing.
Thank you so much for your kind words but let me tell you, we are definitely not frugal. :)
Learned a lot about starting up field sound recording watching your videos. Lot’s of practical advice. Thank you!!
Such pleasure! :)
I think you’re both amazing and so cute. Haha thanks for being so informative and honest. Subscribed. :) can’t wait to see more.
Thank you :)
I was looking into upgrading my zoom h6n to an f6 and ended up watching several of your videos as part of my research. I'm holding off on the purchase until I can truly justify it, but have subscribed to this channel anyhow for the content, especially the positivity and enthusiasm. I also rarely comment, but after hearing your confession, I knew I had to say something. So thank you, both!
Thank you! With an F6 a microphone and other parts are required. With the H6 still have a great recorder.
You guys are great!
I've just purchased an Audio-Technica BP4025 to record ambiance and nature in rural Scotland and I'm really enjoying your content!
Wow! We where so close to go to Scotland last year but maybe next year. Have fun recording.
You are both doing a wonderful job. I am very much looking forward to hearing more from you bot. Yours is an excellent channel.
Really appreciate it.
Frohe Weihnachten. :)
Good job, interesting insights! You're prob earning much more now after another year of growth, well done :-)
Thank you but this is not the case at all. We make less now because we don't create enough video content. Subscriber count alone makes no difference.
i learn so much from this channel .. thanks to you both ..
Thank you!!
Merry Christmas Guys and wishing in advance a very prosperous and happy new year ahead
Thank you Rahool! Happy New Year :)
when you asked the question my thought was $100 - so pleasantly surprised it is more - and well deserved. I am new to field recording and have much to learn. I am also a HUGE fan of LOM (Elektrousi, UsiPro and Geofon) and love your videos with those products. I learn so much from your videos and your videos are so inspiring, I love the authenticity you both project. I am a photographer who is expanding into sound awareness and I am very grateful that you are sharing your journey. I wish you both the very best and thanks so much for being the guiding lights that you are. I bought the Soundcamp full discography and encourage others to do the same in support of this dedicated, passionate couple who love what they do and love sharing this with the rest of us. They truly deserve our support. Just do it.
Hi Anton. Thank you so much for spreading the word and your support. I really means a lot to us knowing that our channel and the videos we make, can make a difference. I hope you have a lot of fun out there finding and recording new sounds. Let's hope LOM surprises us in the future with another "unusal" product so we can discover sounds in new ways.
Guys I just discovered you this week and I'm eating all of your videos! Real quality content, I love the work you are doing and it inspires me so very very much! I'm a Sound Engineer student from Chile at the other end of the world and I'm begining this path to field recording that I find so beautiful. Thank you both for helping me maintain and boosting my love for sound and teaching the world the importance of it!
That’s so nice to hear! I know we haven’t made any new videos lately but they will come :) Thanks for watching and stay awesome :)
@@FreeToUseSounds Hope you can visit Chile one day, it has so many beautiful and diverse landscapes!
Hey 👋 I stumbled on your channel last year during Covid Initial stage and it is lovely to come back and see you guys growing steadily. I love all the hard work and information that you bring on the table. I really try to relate the passion and dedication that you put in. Kudos 👍 and Yes I am gonna download all your library with that coupon code 😝

@@FreeToUseSounds thanks for caring to reply. Saw that one just after the 10000 subscribers video. ;-) I am gonna be enjoying this journey..
Just commenting and liking the video for the algorythm :). Really like the content as a sound freak :)
Thank you! That is much apprechiated.
I trained as a sound engineer, back in the 2000s. I became a photographer and never used my sound expertise. I stumbled across your videos and you have inspired me to pick up my little H1n and go out and start recording sounds. I've loved it so far - it's been hugely satisfying and I'm so grateful for your videos and encouragement. Thank you.
So great to hear that Joe and enjoy the journey! The H1n is a great little recorder and I still use it.
I though the income for 10k was zero...
Amazing channel. I was just about to begin fieldrecording and you showed up in Bandcamp, which brought me here. Congrats!
Hi Leandro! It all depends on the content but you can find other UA-camrs with the same amount and they can make up to $1000 a month. So cool you find us that way. :)
Thanks so much for sharing this information so transparently with us. I hope that you will just go from strength to strength! I have heard many UA-cam content producers saying that consistency is key - that has been one of the challenges that I have with my account! I simply don’t have the time to record, edit, and upload regularly. I need to get that sorted! Thanks once again.
Thank you Dion. That is true. Consistency is key and that is why I'm out there very single day recording new sounds upload frequently new sound libraries to my accounts.
Halfway through the video, and I had to pause it to make a comment: This is quite an insightful and inspiring story you have shared here. Thanks for posting it! There's a lot more to it than the title eludes to. Thanks for sharing your story. Back to the video... (hits play)
Hi Benjamin. That is so cool. We hope you enjoyed the rest of the video too. :) Thank you for watching.
@@FreeToUseSounds I definitely enjoyed the rest of the video. People should watch until the end. ;)
Thank you and yes. Secret reward :)
I landed on this video since my husband really get into his field recording hobby lately, and I’m also learn how to make videos better. OMG! Your videos really helped us a lot! We learn so much from both of you 😍 Thank you!
Ah thank you! That is so nice to hear.
Currently recording the rain in Cambodia because of you two! I love your videos!
Ah that's awesome! :) We miss Cambodia.
@@FreeToUseSounds I have lived in Cambodia for almost 14 years. Today I was recording the sound of rain and last week the sound of frogs with my new H6. This was all due to your videos :-) !! I am teaching two young Cambodian guys how to shoot and edit videos here. Currently mostly working on NGO stuff, but still cool! Since we are locked down right now in Cambodia, I sent my employee Sambo to shoot a sound video like the one you have in the hotel room and at your home. He will shoot it in his house today. I am not sure what the results will be, but just wanted to encourage you two that your videos are making an impact on people like myself, and my Cambodian friend Sambo! Keep posting great material!
By the way, the videos are excellent as well.
@@ccoxcambodia Wow 14 years. We spent only one two months in Cambodia and we have to come back when its possible again. We are a small channel but its so nice to hear that it still makes a difference. If you know Tim from Naga Earth say hello from Libby and Marcel. :)
So glad I found your channel! You guys are awesome and I love how the vibe is chill and not over the top with the intro like so many other UA-camrs do. Quality content! I'm just getting into field recording and I'm considering getting the f6 after watching a lot of your videos. For my first mic for recording sounds in general what would be a good choice?
Thank you so much for watching. We just released a new video and its about how to get started with field recording. Maybe that will help you too. I think the AT 4025 is the best allrounder mic and I wish I had that when I started out.
@@FreeToUseSounds Awesome! Thank you!!

Yeah! Go for it :)
Great content
Thank you!
You two are just so lovely and charming. Keep these videos coming!
Thank you Dan and we're try out best to keep it up and meaningful :)

UA-cam is a hard work. Day 1 and Day 365 could most likely be unsuccessful. But benefits of YT , it is a great place to be yourself for free. You don't need a TV channels to hire you. You be yourself. And you be creative.
Also, YT is great for other business.
Good luck.
So true! Also making just one or two videos a week maybe sounds easy but it’s not. It’s challenging, fun and made us go out of the house. Happy Holiday and thank you for your kind words.
Great channel. I've gotten a lot out of several of your video's. Just a comment for this one. Libby's voice sounds a little clippy or distorted to me. Very informative and thanks for making it!

Really inspiring videos! I am a professional musician/producer/Ableton enthusiast and doing ambient music, but I just bought a Zoom F6 and Ambeo mic recently to bring my FR game up! Thanks to your channel I picked up a lot a very valuable information. Cheers!
Thank you so much for watching. Did you get the Sennheiser or Røde? I have the H3VR as well but haven't used it for a while.
@@FreeToUseSounds My first choice was the Røde but it was back order so I ended up with the Sennheiser and I don't regret it. Lot's of possibilities and the sound is really crisp and detailed. Definitely need a power bank for the F6 though as it uses 48V (4x). The F6 is a true GEM! Unbelievable features for something so small!
@@knobcultmusic7996 Nice! If I'm back in the US I buy the Ambeo too.
You are so right about field recording being under appreciated. As a filmmaker I learned the lessons about making great recordings in the field back in the 2000's haha. The recorders we have these days are so exciting... People don't even know. Love your channel and I learn something every time I time I time in.
Hi Charles. Thanks for stopping by and I can see that the interest in field recording is slowly rising. :)
@@FreeToUseSounds I wonder if 32 bit float is going to do for sound what raw has for cameras.
@@CharlesBorowicz1 Well its all about dynamic range.
@@FreeToUseSounds true. True. And in another sense the ability to make mistakes and recover from them. Photography took off I think in no small part because it's essentially a what you see is what you get and all the little details are handled for you now. Even in more technical photographic work the ability to recover from mistakes that would have decimated a film shoot are incredible. For me discovering that pro gear in audio is way more forgiving was not intuitive. And I think that's finally trickled down
Merry Christmas gang! BTW... I just went ahead with getting the complete library thank you! Free to use??? Also, how do save all your files? And when you create your library as backup... what system and structure have you found to be most helpful in locating files. Here’s an idea. On google home, they have a few night time sounds. Our dog and we like to listen to Country night sounds. It keeps our dog Jäger from barking at outside sounds he may here whilst everyone sleeping. Works like a charm. But would really like Cicadas instead of cricket’s... more soothing. It’s a great way to fall asleep... but limited sounds. Would be nice to have a library that plays out longer. Not sure if google uses a loop or not. Really like your channel. Keep on inspiring! Be safe and safe travels.
Hi Mark! Thank you so much for your support and you can play the sounds trough the Bandcamp app. I have cicadas in Thailand and Bali recorded and also check out the jungle sounds from Vietnam. That might be something for you as well For locating my own files I use Soundly. I have my hard drive loaded and find everything in just a couple of seconds.
@@FreeToUseSounds not familiar with soundly. I’ll check it out. BTw... UA-cam editing? FCPX or Adobe? Sound editing.? Not sure easiest software?
@@kurotaka007 Soundly is great for post production because they have a huge library. I'm a contributor too and have almost 4000 recordings in the cloud. If you want you can try out the Pro Version one month for free. The code is: free2usesounds. www.getsoundly.com We're using Final Cut but have Adobe too. If we had to decide on only one editing software, we would go with FCPX.
@@FreeToUseSounds Thank you.... look forward to hearing the sounds of Turkey.
Just arrived in Cappadocia and recording call to prayers :)
Lovely video, I really appreciate how passionate and frank you both are about what you speak about the things you speak about! I too hesitate to comment on videos, but I had to this time! Also nice to see Libby in a video - the quality of your edits is really crisp and neat :)
Stumbled across your channel when I was researching field recording tech. I would like to record birdcalls and ambient sounds from nature, but still haven't figured out what equipment I would need to buy. I was thinking of the Zoom F1 with a shotgun attachment, but that's a big expense for me so if you have any advice or affordable alternatives I'd love to hear it! In an ideal world I would try to get a parabolic microphone, but they don't seem easily available in India at the moment.
Looking forward to more content from you! All the best and love from across the world - hope you're safe and well.
Thank you so much for your nice comment and I don't really recommend the F1. I have it and its very noisy. The next big minus is the plastic cover for the battery. It brakes really quick and its a pain.
@@FreeToUseSounds Thanks for the quick, honest reply! I won't waste my money on it then. If you do think of a good alternative (I'm happy to save for one), do let me know! Cheers.
@@ChayantGonsalves For nature sounds check out the Audio Moth Box but you need the protection case. I don't have it yet myself but think its awesome for nature sounds. Especially for overnight or several days recordings.
@@FreeToUseSounds Thank you :) I've just given them a look and it seems great for passive acoustic recordings! Will try to pick one up. Take care!
you are so cool guys
So kind! We're keeping it real. :)
Libby you inspired me to write what is I think my first ever UA-cam comment. I guessed £200 (~$250) and had no clue about what UA-cam generates, just a lucky guess.
Love what you guys are doing, how honest and open you are and I've no doubt you'll continue to make a success of this business you've made for yourselves. Looking forward to hearing more from you
Also, I bought the full discography through BandCamp before I realised you had a website, but it kind of sounded like you're saying there are more sounds if I buy through your website, is that right? Did I take 'full discography' too literally? Hope all is well with you both
Hi Mike! Thank you so much for your nice comment and you had a really great guess. About the full discography and the AIOB. Yes inside the AIOB are much more sounds but the main differences are that on Bandcamp everything is nice organized in theme libraries and inside the AIOB in country folders with subfolders of the files. The download speed on Bandcamp is also much faster.
@@FreeToUseSounds OK thank you for the quick response! The only downside I have experienced so far on Bandcamp is that there appears no way to download all in one go, you have to manually click on each one. For now I've just chosen a few libraries to download to disk. Do you have this option on the website? I've just started making audiobooks for kids so these sounds will be very useful. You have so many great ambient sounds, I would love to see some more FX, like animal sounds. Though you have already got me buying gear so will probably try myself once the farms open up for visitors again here in the UK :)
@@mikeshakespeare4596 Oh I do have apes, howler monkeys pigs and dogs inside the full discography. You can search within the fan account. Well yes you can't officially bulk download on Bandcamp.
Hi, I love you videos and enjoyed this one, too. I wanted to give you a word of caution: UA-cam's terms of service at least used to prohibit specific discussions of how much ad partners are making. That could have been changed since when it was relevant to me years ago, though I kind of doubt it. I would hate for you to run afoul of their rules, as I recall the penalties were severe (termination of revenue). Might be worth researching.
Also, your payments depend on the types of videos you make and how valuable they might be to advertisers. You *might* test different categories when posting a video. Maybe one of your videos does better categorized as a travel video instead of whatever you currently pick. And some are both travel and technology and field recording . . . but field recording might not be understood as a category, and I recall travel ads paying quite well. You also might find a video about your camera rig does better than one about your audio rig, etc. Not suggesting you change what you do--please don't!-- than this is only one stream of income for you, as you say, but there might be room to optimize your numbers. I'm no longer a YT partner, so I'll say my revenue for amateurish comedy/travel/music videos was about $10/1000 views. They changed a lot about their ad program at the time they also decided my channels did not have enough traffic to be a part of the program, but I would also guess that that was nowhere near the most people made. The quality of what you are doing is much more deserving of support, so it would be a shame to not continue to optimize this stream of income. As you say, it adds up!
Thanks for what you are doing! I enjoy amateur field recording when on holiday and have really enjoyed following your journeys.
Hi! Thank you for your input and yes we saw other UA-camrs talking about it that you shouldn't show your CPM or RPM. We're showing the estimated revenue and it should be alright. It could encourage others to start a UA-cam channel and guess who wins? UA-cam. :)
We had a travel channel before and the revenue of these videos wasn't so good. That might be different on other UA-cam channels like yours but that's not really what our channel is about. Being a travel vlogger comes with a lot of pressure and the world doesn't need Libby and Marcel travel vlogs. :) haha
We do what we love and go with the flow. Thanks again for the comment!
One of the cutest couples on the Internet! Thank you for all that you do here for us! From here to beyond 40k!
You are so kind James! Thank you!

I work as a video team production. And, I need the best audio result I could have. Especially, to get best field audio recording, equipments, and foley. And you, guys help me a lot. Thank u for sharing the experience..
Thats awesome and we're glad that we could help.
Hey, guys, love your work. What's the difference between joining your bandcamp channel vs. joining your UA-cam channel?
Good Morning Jon and thank you for asking. The Bandcamp club is $10 a month each time a post a new sound library, free or not free will be uploaded directly to your account. Plus you get the backlog of all current libraries direct onto your account. I publish a minimum of 5 new sound libraries a month. On UA-cam it’s $5 and I give members access to two new sound libraries a month. Oh and on a Bandcamp, after 6 months being part of the club I send out a t shirt of your choice from our clothing store. Let me know if you have any more questions.
You are very professional do so much work. I was expecting you to make much more on your channel.
That doesn't even pay for your equipment...
Thank you Craig and luckily we don't rely on the UA-cam revenue.
