    Hi, everyone. My name is Mark Thomas. I'm one of the members of the ECHO User Advisory Group.
    Today, I'm going to give you an overview of the ECHO 7310P chainsaw right here. This has a 32-inch bar on it. This is ECHO's most powerful chainsaw in North America.
    I've been running this for a little over a month now, and I have several video clips during that time that I'm going to show you. So let's get into it.
    Let's take a closer look at some of the features. It has a four-stage air cleaning system, has a high-performance chain, and a professional solid bar, 19-millimeter captive bar nut, so you're not going to lose the hardware out in the forest. It has a decompression valve right there for easy starting. Has a magnesium crankcase and sprocket cover, and also an automatic adjustable bar oiler that only operates when the chain is moving. The fuel tank here has a translucent design so you can see how much fuel's in it. Has dual spikes, and it also has a spring vibration reduction system. I like the painted sight lines on here, so that helps you hold the saw even while you're doing some cutting, especially in the horizontal position.
    Okay, let's take a quick moment to see some of the specs on the box right here. Okay. It's model CS-7310P performance cutting system, the professional's choice. 73.5 cc gas-power chainsaw, one-year commercial warranty. This has an aluminum handle with rubber grip for comfort, a magnesium crankcase and sprocket cover for durability and lightweight. Heavy-duty pleated air filter provides superior air filtration, a decompression valve for easy starting. The ECHO X Series right here is their best-in-class product.
    Okay. Starting the system. Standard fuel tank capacity, 27.1 fluid ounces. The oil capacity, 12.2 fluid ounces. The dry weight, 12.2 pounds. That is without the bar and chain. The available bar lengths in inches, 20, 24, or 28 and 32. I'm running a 32. The oiling system is a automatic, adjustable oiler. 73.5 cc gas-powered chainsaw.
    All right, so let's take a look at the chainsaw. To get to the filter, you're going to use this wrench right here. Just give it quarter-turn. There's three of them. Then this cover lifts off. Yeah, it looks like I have a little bit of dust buildup after a while using this, but a lot of life left in it. Then right here's a little tab that you can pull out and turn it around. Right now, I have it set for the winter; but if I want to run this chainsaw in the summertime, then I would flip it like that. In the summertime, you want that heat to escape to keep the engine running cooler.
    Before I put the cover back on, I want to show you a clip that you can find at the ECHO website, the engineering of how this filtration system works and how they keep the dust particles out of here. It's quite amazing. Let's take a closer look.
    This is the air injection and dirt separation system. You can see this flywheel right here moves the air over the cooling fins and then also into the air filter box right here. So if you take a close look at the flywheel, it separates the dirt, and the inertia pushes it to the outside. Then in this molded channel, there's another area where the dirt is separated. Then the final stage of the dirt separation is right there at the air filter, where it falls to the bottom and goes out another channel.
    All right, this chainsaw has really performed well for me. I've been running it now for three months. As you can see behind me, the background has changed. We have the 60-degree spring weather moving in. Over the three months that I've had this, I've been running 89 octane non-ethanol fuel with ECHO Red Armor Oil, and that's worked really well for me.
    If you want to find out more information about ECHO chainsaws, or if you want to just get involved in the green industry and get into some awesome discussions with the pros, head on over to the echomeansbusiness.com website and there is a tremendous amount of resource that I recommend that you check out. If you have any questions or comments on the saw, please put them down below. If you find this video to be helpful, interesting, and informative, please give it a thumbs-up and help give support to this channel. That's it, friends. Thanks for watching. See you next time.

    I bought my 7310P about 2 months ago, I absolutely love it, I've been cutting a lot of heavy timber with it, it performs better than any other saw I've owned, I'm a full time logger so I demand my saw to perform and I've not been disappointed yet with it

    Open the winter shutter to keep the carb from icing up, close it off in summer to keep hot air off away from the intake.

    I never knew this saw existed, I just bought the echo cs590 with an Oregon AdvanceCut 20" and a panther 28"bar and I love it, but I would rather have had this, along with their smallest chainsaw, the CS-2511T. The Oregon advanced cut was one of the best improvements for the CS-590. It cuts very fast and takes a beating from Sand and pebbles embedded in the stumps.

    As far as the summer/winter tab at 4:10; the video is INCORRECT!
    I have to agree with "Smooth A06" Make the vent open in winter and closed in the summer... It indicates this right on the tab with lettering and an icon.. Printed are the words winter, and OPEN and an actual picture of a snowman, just incase we get confused by the word "winter". Smooth A06 (below), also gives the reasoning for this.

    I just purchased the 7310p with a 28in. Bar and very happy with it so far. One negative about this saw is the tuning of the carb. Called the dealer where I purchased the saw and he said I have to bring it into to have the carb. tuned!!. He said the dealer only has the tool to tune the carb ! I have a hobby farm and have been tuning my stihl saws for over 25 years successfully! Do you know what tool to get to tune this saw? None of the reviewers have mentioned tuning this saw. Thanks for your reviews and any info. You can provide !!!

    Nice video with an honest review. You mentioned you've been running it for 3 mons. What use does it see? 32" bar says you have experience but, is this a work saw that sees regular daily use? Something you use regularly around a farm?
    I'll be purchasing one soon. I have a tree service but plan on leaving this one home for a dedicated firewood saw. Averaging 20 cord for myself and 80 for sale, I need to keep my work saws out of the mix.
    How well does it pull 32'' of chain? Semi-skip or full house?
    These saws scream with port work.

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder 3 роки тому +4

      I'm running it a couple hours a week on average. I go through about 5 full cords of firewood per season. I'm going to get a smaller bar for it, just so I will run it more often. I've been using the standard chain that came with it. I'm tempted to get some port work to it, but happy with it from the factory.

    I realize the email has there rules and regulations. I don't know if you realize it or not but there is some adjusts that can be made and still be within the limits of the epa. Anyone purchasing this 7310p should be able to make the adjustments within the limiter cap settings period. The echo7310p is the only saw that is different from other saws as of today. It is ridiculous!

    • @charliepeeden2975
      @charliepeeden2975 2 роки тому +2

      The CS-800 is Echo's largest saw, it has a bigger engine and can handle a bigger bar/chain than the 7310. The CS-800 has a long history with Echo, being formerly called the CS-8000. It is a tried-and-true saw and it is a monster. It will out-cut larger Stihl and Husqvarna saws for a fraction of the price, and it has superior Japanese manufacturing and a 5 year warranty.

    • @justme-ij2qy
      @justme-ij2qy 3 роки тому +2

      @@jpoplin1 I am definitely considering the cs590, but then I keep going back to the stihl ms261c because it has nearly an extra 1/2hp and is 2.4 lbs lighter. Then again the extra $219 bucks that the stihl costs could go towards many other things. Lol. Just a little bit ago I came across the saw that will likely replace the cs590 which is the cs620. It is essentially a modified and improved cs590 which gains 1/2hp. It costs more than the cs590 but is less than the ms261.
      The good thing is I always give myself time to think about it so that I can weigh the options.

    • @andyeighttre

      Nope. Any saw can run any 2 stroke oil designed for chainsaws/lawn equipment. Just make sure your ratios are per factory.

    • @andyeighttre
      @andyeighttre 2 роки тому +1

      I totally didn’t address the scoring issue. I’ll almost guarantee your saw isn’t getting enough fuel. Turn the high and low up to see if that helps. If they are maxed out than run a 45/1 or 40/1 mix until you can get the carb delimited.

    • @charliepeeden2975

      Do not use Stihl oil. It doesn't mix with gas well and can clog the fuel screens inside the carburetor and fuel filter.
