Well done how-to video. Pretty clear. One thing that is missing/inadequate is the elapsed time for some steps to complete. I have been burned by this many times with many (hardware and software) versions of Cisco devices. In many cases, it looks like a bring up from reset or power up is not succeeding. But, in actuality, if you wait 5-10 minutes, while the WLC and AP(s) are outwardly looping in failures to startup and/or connect, eventually some things (presumably completing in the background and not providing any visible progress indications) eventually clear up and then the looping failures are ceased and the WLC and APs finally connect successfully,.
What connects to the end of the service port link?, when you pooled the address, why did you use 192.168.1.1 and not 192.168.1.3 , video time 5:20, 5:30
Could you make a video on EmbededWirelessController 9800 eWLC on 9100 Series AccessPoints (9120-EWC-E) without WLC (WireLessController from Cisco) with different VLANS on switches (Catalyst 1000 or CBS350) and corresponding VLANS on the accesspoints (C9120-EWC-E ). Thank you.
For anybody struggling to connect to the unit after initial configuration, it disables http once you complete config and can only be accessed via . I also suggest enabling https redirect once you get connected.
Did you show provisioning the AP ? If not please let me know the directions on the GUI where I need to go and provision the AP with a name and reboot it to apply the changes.
I have another basic question. Just to make sure the connections are correct - I will be connecting the controller with CAT5 from management port to my PC. Then I will configure my controller. Later once this is done, then I connect my cisco switch to the controller to the Mgig port via a CAT5 connection and my AP to the controller via CAT5 to one of the 1gig ports available. Is this right ? Then I provision my AP (give a name, stage it)
Please watch the video. Just before the 5 minute mark I go over the connections. You can plug your computer and the switch into the controller at the same time.
I just bought the WLC350, when I configured it by giving ip management, but when I want to enter the controller with ip management it didn't work, the web GUI didn't appear. if you go directly to WLC it doesn't work. but if on PING it replay.
Dear Sal, I have set the IP Address of My WLC 3504. When I try to Access My WLC 3504 Controller I'm unable to get the Console. Could you please my Connectivity It's Helpful for me! if Possible to share the Images of Connectivity Dear
If we were talking about a 2,000Sqft house I would just need one wireless router. For business that can be much larger than 2,000Sqft, one wireless router will not work. This devices coordinates multiple wireless "routers" together. Instead of managing sometimes hundreds of wireless "routers" by themselves.
Thank you for all your videos, I was completly lost as how the Controllers and Switch connected
This was very helpful for getting our new one at work setup. Thank you very much.
Actually sir we need to thank you .....love and respect for you....😍😍😍😍

Thanks for the feedback. I'll make sure to call out those times I'm future videos!
Very clear and informative, thanks!
That cleared up what the ports on the right hand side are for. Thanks
Excellent, thank you !
Thank you brother 🙏🙏🙏
You're awesome..👍👍

Hi this video saved me, thank you
Any tips on where to buy a cheap or used WLC?
Do you have any videos with allowing Apple Airplay? I can't seem to get it to work.
Thank you very helpful!
Can I use the multi gig port as the main port for ap management and traffic?
Good afternoon! I did everything as in the video, everything works, but there is no access via the web interface. Why???

It’s on the list. Just might be a little while until i get there 😁

Hi, i want to check if we can use cisco controller with Ruckus APs
You can not.
@@CiscoSalomg. Have to purchase a new Controller
Depending on how many you have, instead of buying a new controller, you could do meraki ap’s. No controller needed with those. All cloud based.
hi Sir hope ur doing well thank from you lecture how to join access point it does not wrok
Excellent ... Well Done ...
Hi, could we pay you to help us add AP licenses to our new 3504 controller? We can't figure it out.
has it been sorted?
WHERE DO YOU CONNECT THE AP?
To a switch port 😁
did you integrated it with aruba clearpass server to provide AAA and external portal functions?
No, everything done in the video is standard on the controller.
What cable did you use to connect the PC to the service port
Normal Ethernet cable
Did you show provisioning the AP ? If not please let me know the directions on the GUI where I need to go and provision the AP with a name and reboot it to apply the changes.
I showed quick setup. The controller will talk to the AP and broadcast out the setup SSID. If you watch the video it goes through this.

Is the AP connected to the switch OR the controller ?
I know controller is connected to switch and configured, then comes the AP configuration.
The Ap take ip from what
The subnet it’s plugged into
nice. thanks

Connect both management and data pprt to the wlc. On wlc, plug in its service port and port 1 with switch. It should work then
Just use HTTPS. issue solved
Nice.. Useful.. Thank you very much..
any videos for AIR-CAP3502I-E-K9 Configuration ?
Sorry, I dont have any of the GUI on a 3500.
Very helpful 👍
So you said it was good for how many access points>? I thought it said 12 supported.
Can support up to 150 APs. You buy additional licenses as you need them.
we have 3504 Model Wirlesss controller and ap1852i accesspoint
very interesting thank you .

So it's piont less to use for wireless
What do you mean?
Cisco Sal do I just hook to my Wi-Fi box and it'll hook up to my phone and firestick
This is an enterprise solution, to manage multiple wireless access points in a large building.
Cisco Sal can u dumb down for me lol....
