This is the Aussie Vocal Coach Bass Warm Up. Bass singers know the struggle of warming up their voice. The bass voice, also known as vocal fach, is the lowest of the male voice types. The bass vocal range is usually between Eb2 and E4 however some singers may be able to sing slightly lower or higher than this vocal range. Bass singers with a strong upper register are often referred to as Bass Baritones while Basses with strong low notes are referred to as Basso Profundo.
The 8 vocal warm up exercises in this routine will activate your diaphragm, connect your cords, warm up your resonators, chest voice, mixed voice and head voice range so that you can sing with confidence, tone quality and power through your bass range.

Thank you, vocal coach tend to neglect bass exercises on youtube. looking forward to your channel growing.
Jordan DragonKing you're welcome 😊
Are you a bass singer??
@@jessebyrd2273 yes
Love this warm up, do it every day. So I started out 2 months with a strong D2 and nothing below, but with working downward scales and slides on low notes have gotten a full consistent B1 when warmed up. I can get halfway to the Bb1, so here's hoping!
EDIT: Got the Bb1
🤯
My first bigger problem is hitting high notes as a Bass. I have no really problems with my lower notes
@@snowcolonelmusic Yeah for bass voices the low notes are expected to just happen naturally but the high notes of a bass take longer to come than it does for baritones or tenors. It's not impossible for a bass to sing high without strain, but it's a long and difficult process involving years of training.
Thank you so much. My voice rank is D2-F4. This video is perfect for me.
Argoz_ 94 great to hear!
the fact that the usual bass exercise were boring but yours weren't
This makes me want to practice singing bass even more.
Thank you for uploading this video.
i'm not a singer, but i have had a huge fascial adhesion in my left side that was paralyzing part of my stomach and diaphragm. i've been breaking up the adhesion with acupuncture, cupping and gua sha, but the last step to breaking up an adhesion in a muscle is making lots of small, hard movements with the muscle...just like these voice exercises! if you feel trapped in your own rib cage, ask your acupuncturist about debilitating fascial adhesions!
I often warm up with before work when I sing 🎤 As an untrained singer with no lessons, I’ve already noticed a big difference in my ability to control my voice and range. Thank you 🔥
For the first time in my life I was able to follow the full warm up and not do the 3 first "low" notes and wait like a idiot, listening to others singing because the usual range is too high for me ! THANK YOU !
Thank you Aussie Vocal Coach, may this bass exercise help to develop my voice.
Coach how can i apply these on actual singing a certain song?
U cant apply vocal exercises to songs .Exercises make your voice better so it will improve ur singing in general

Wow it makes you feel good!
Warming up the chest region made my ears and brain tickle or tingle care to explain
Damn you make this really fun and interesting.
Amazing video!
for some of us have a range lower than C2. like to engage in exercises to strengthen the voice and diagram to sound solid for solo bottom notes
That is quite hard but enginious :) It should be like that at all. Thanks, bro !
thank you i luv you. I am a contralto and this is great for me but some of the scales are a lil bit too high for me.. maybe i will make it one day
This is great, thank you!
Lovely exercises , thanks
This was great and what a difference does it make. I am a total beginner and could reach the entire exercise range from D2 to D#4, which I could never do it before without straining my voice.
I'm actually looking for exercises on lower notes...
Just pause the video and continue downwards to where you feel comfortable stopping. Only you know your limits in this regard so its unlikely that most guides will hit whats considered a maximum low
I know what you’re talking about, because I am a bass 2. I can hit a low C, and was hoping to expand my range, but I have found that if you just lower the exercises one octave, they can be used for this purpose.
just go for it :)
@@pinknate7178 thank you, that's an awsome point
@pinknate7178 I can hit a G#1 which I think is pretty good. I'm 13
This video is great 👍🏿 thanks
Jesus Valdes you're welcome 😊
Thank you again.
You should continue doing this is nice I like it it's helped me alot
This was great thanks
Ah very interesting and helpful! Thanx
Supernice Workout!!
So Nice 🙌
It's cool, thanks. Any other videos about how to make it sound lower and deeper? Cheers from the third world :)
Thanks. Really good exercises.
Any cure for froggy lower notes?
Circle your mouth that 4 to 5 fingers can fit. I think thats what they do to us when I was in college it depends on how low your pitch.
Relaxation
Thank you sir
Thank you sir 4 December
"Lip roll" I love it 🤣
Thanks bro
C2-E3 for me
Thanks you soo much🥰🥰🥰
You’re welcome ☺️
Excellent! I'm a baritone but I like this exercise also. Would you please answer a couple of questions for me? I seem to sing better if I wait awhile after my warm up to sing. Perhaps half an hour. Is this unusual? Would it be too much to do both the baritone and bass warm ups before singing?
It's quite often that male voices take longer to warm up. You can definitely do more warm up. But be careful to not do too much especially if you're going to be performing because you'd not want your voice to get exhausted or not be as fresh :)
@@JamesCorban Thanks for the reply, even if it took two years for you to do it. Unfortunately, I developed an Acoustic Neuroma and am deaf in my left ear and can no longer sing.
Would love one in minor for basses
Which Vocal Farm Up would you suggest me, My vocal range - C2 - G5
Can reach G5 as high of note of Bass?
@@GeekZone210 maybe headvoice
Thnk you so much i am new subcribe

Is it okay for females to work out on this?
No there’s like serious strict laws against absolutely not. You’ll goto jail if your female and use this free UA-cam video. Soooo bad

Question : for thé NG sound, so we have to produce the sound 100% from the nose ?
Yes that’s right
@@aussievocalcoach thank you very much. And congrats again.: best warm-ups and workouts !!

How how many days do I have to keep doing this
every time before you sing
My range is G#1 to B4. Am i a bass?
My shuu... has wistle why is that... confused here ahahaha
Basstämma körsång gabriellas sång
too high :(((
To high needs to go way lower...
Not really. You just need to expand your upper register. I used to with anything above C4 but now I can sing up to E4. It takes time
@@DanielGomez-rt8hl But it still would be very nice for this to get to C2 at least. E2 is not that difficult.
kotosqopos true. C2 feels so good
kotosqopos Yeah, but there are some basses that don’t even get to that note. But yeah,C2 is an awesome bass note.
@@kotosqoposrly C2!!! That is the first fret on a standard 7 string guitar. I can't hit that note and I'm 6ft 3. I don't understand how people could hit that note ever, and e2 is no probs.
I need to do all of this?
if u want to have clear bass range we obviously need to do this.
@@nikhilnaik8314 you can't just become a bass by doing bass warm-ups
@@tristanlj3409 so what we have to do
@@nikhilnaik8314 as you mentioned you wanted a bass range? That might be possible, but bear in mind that these notes will sound very different coming out a baritones mouth as opposed to a basses. Same thing with baritones hitting tenor notes. I don't know concretely how much you can expand your range downwards, cause that has more to do with the anatomy of your throat and mouth. Was is your range right now?
@@tristanlj3409 f2 - f4
bro i need lower notes... wtf is this high shit u said this a bass warmup ?!
You can skip the high notes if you want. Many basses can hit these high notes in chest after practice, but it takes years of practice, despite their low notes usually happening by nature. Besides, this goes down to C2, which is already very low pitched. If that's not low enough for you, then try to watch a video by the UA-camr Ioannis Tsoumaris titled "How I Became an Oktavist" and try singing along with him. He goes down to E1 in chest voice in his demonstration of his vocal range and up to C3 in chest. Hopefully that helps :)
That's too high :(
CamiloZeta Podróże it’s supposed to get your resonance up buddy
