TGIF with Toast and Stockings!

Toast and Stockings were in such lovely moods when I arrived this afternoon, and our visit was very sweet and calm! After greeting Toast in the dining room, we headed upstairs to put away the dry cleaning before spending some quality time with Stockings in the window. Toast first enjoyed some petting on the carpet before joining Stockings on the windowsill, where they both appreciated being given some love while they watched the neighborhood. Tails were pleasantly swinging, meows of appreciation were given, and it was such a nice time! Eventually i decided to start working on their waters, boxes and enrichment items. The waters are fresh and full, boxes cleaned and cat paraphernalia has been rearranged for novelty. I tried to play with the cat wand but no one was really into it this time. Toast was great for his ear meds, literally bouncing up to receive it! They are both being very charming and engaging today, and dinner was lovingly served according to instructions. Both got down to business right away and ate their supper with gusto! Stockings didn't eat all her food but she did love the pumpkin and lysine treat covered bits. We ended the visit with a small helping of treats put in a new puzzle toy for Toast, while i gave Stockings hers directly. They are such sweet kitties and i can hardly wait to start the day with them tomorrow! Heading out shortly and will send video asap. Have a great night!!Stockings and Toast had a fun night playing with their toys and enrichments, and were in the mood to play keepaway with their meals for most of our visit! 😹 Both were slow to eat their kibble, and though Toast made the most attempts to take his sister's food, Stockings did go check out Toast's dish as well! Neither managed to eat each other's food and it seemed to entertain them quite a bit to have me bringing Stockings' dish all over the house. 😸 When it seemed like they'd both had their fill of the game and their food, I put Toast's leftovers in a cardboard box with holes in it and added two treats. He went wild pushing it all over and getting everything out while Stockings finally finished 80% of her meal. I'm saving the remainder to add to her dinner. All of their fountains and bowls have been refilled with fresh water, and they continue to only use the litter boxes on the staircase, so I have cleaned those. We've tossed some toys around and played with cat wands a little bit as well. The curtains have been lifted high enough that the kitties can enjoy the windowsills. I ended our hour together on the couch, talking to them and trying to beckon them over for some cuddles but they were both satisfied from our very engaging visit together. They both focused on playing together and disengaged from me, indicating they are feeling very safe, comfortable and cared for. I'm looking forward to returning this afternoon for more attention, affection and spoiling Toast and Stockings rotten! Have a great day!!
