Just found your channel, lots of great info, thank you! I have been on FAA for nearly 2 years, sales have been a little slow, but I do enjoy quite a few of the other Artist"s images and comments. I have been doing Art Shows for quite a few years but Covid has put a damper on all of our lives, for sure. Keep up the wonderful work, we are all enjoying your presence on you-tube...CHEERS!
Welcome aboard the channel :) and sorry for the late reply, been some crazy weeks, and just now getting back to all of them.
How do you advertise your art? No ads, no business. Pay for ads, or advertise to huge social media following, if you built that. If you don’t advertise, how would customers even find you? Dead page doesn’t sell! Place your products in front of target customer group.
Can you explain or show (maybe a video for all) how to use the Instagram platform to promote your work within all their many rules and without having to do a song and dance?

Believe me, i know the feeling. Prior to this little trip of mine I haven't been to the beach since being diagnosed with PTSD in 2015... Been weird, but good :) Kinda wish I could have gone inside LOL

Are you uploading photography to their platform or a different type of art?
Well my excitement was a bit too early, because my account was closed after I upgraded couldn’t login the very next morning. . I contacted their tech support but no response as of yet. Successful transaction everything looked good and the next morning My account closed for no reason.

You always talk about them but I feel like I've completely missed the actual place, I've seen you have them on society6 but I think you are talking about another specific website too?
Came back ? Never left me LOL, have it with me almost every day, addicted to this one LOL (the one from Art of Where)
As for the puzzles- I always talk about setting a website missjigsaw.com to sell my puzzles - and in this video I explained I will be selling them from Society6 (link to them in the description) and with FAA :)

I'm not English so sometimes when listening some stuff just goes over my head, sorry lol the rest I did understand and it's amazing as always! But lol I feel you for the scarf, sometimes you buy something and it just... becomes part of you ESPECIALLY if you made it because then it's like: hello my beautiful creation lmao

Hey Mey! Love, love, love your content. I was thinking about FAA but I'd be using commercial free/public domain photos and art and putting my spin on them. Would you consider that still original creations?? FAA really has a made-by-the-artist feel and I don't want to come off disingenuous because the base subject may not be own. Any thoughts on this? Would you credit the original artist... call the shop a gallery, or simply move forward with presenting it as my own as I absolutely intend to highly edit the pieces... be it with color filtering, merging subjects into one creation, etc. Look forward to your thoughts! No, it’s not original unless ALL parts of your art are created by you. Not stolen or bought! 😂
My wife has a shop on FAA for over a year now and has only had 4 sales because its relatives. She is currently looking for another platform.
FAA shipping costs are WAY to expensive so no one is buying. We live in Denver Colorado so she’s looking for a platform that is closer to home.
I must add that you are smart.
I have a fine art America account. Not sold anything. I’m considering a SmugMug account. However to sell your images as prints it’s $270 per year for the site. Um. What would you think?
Never heard of SmugMug, so I don't know.
I think there are so many platforms now to sell art, prints, photography... So i might not want to pay a fee like that when other sites are for free. Or maybe you should try and do it from your own shop. (can't really advise as I don't know your style, your target audience, and your experience with marketing...)

Do you use your phone as your camera or do you have a regular camera?
My phone :)
I also edit using my phone, on an app called Snapseed.

Thanks :) I keep taking more and more, with less time to upload, perhaps I will upload the lot of them when I'm back in Bansko, as here I am using phone data as there's no wifi.
How do you prep your files for FAA?
@@CrystalNouveauC Consider how you’ll advertise and what’s your advertisement budget. If you don’t have $ for ads (or huge social media following to advertise for free), you won’t have sales. Think of your business and marketing BEFORE wasting time on creating a store nobody visits. Speaking from experience.

I have been ill, than got back to Bansko, than got more products I have ordered from other suppliers, and refocused a bit on S6 and zazzle - just so i can start launching my Jigsaw puzzle website. I have also been moving apartments, sick, and taking a LOT of procreate illustration courses. I mentioned it in one of my latest videos that FAA again was pushed back to the bottom of my to-do list, mostly cause it will be a HUGE hassle trying to test-order products from them when I am in Bulgaria.
Can you get paid even if you you using a free account.

How much do you spend on advertising? How do you place your art in front of the customers? I hope you’re not just wishing for them to magically find it on their own, please 😂
Fine Art America sounds more classy & professional.
They do have that feeling, surely they have a simple and easy upload process with also the built in option to sell the files of the photos !
But nothing sells .
In over a year on FAA my wife sold 4 items. Shipping costs as much as the item and sometimes more.
