I haven’t beaded in years and found a bunch of old projects that I didn’t finish or finished poorly and I gave up. It’s been about 15 years and I used your video to get the proper supplies because crimping tubes have been the bane of my existence and the primary reason I quit beading in the first place. So I watched your entire video twice and managed to repair and complete a necklace. I’m so proud of myself I wish I could post a picture. Thank you so much for your clear and concise directions. I am an adult educator myself and appreciate your approach. You explained everything at the beginning including the tools and techniques you’d be covering. Setting expectations right off the bat! So many UA-cam tutorials like this important component. Then you walked us step-by-step through the beading, tubing, crimping, covering, and finishing processes, and closed by reinforcing what you taught us. what we did. You get 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 from this cranky crimped! 😉
I hate to say it, but I'm glad I am not the only one whose crimp tube fights with the wire guardian. Thank you for this video. I really needed it. I subscribed.
I'm just getting into beading so have watched numerous videos and yours is the first one that I could actually see how you use the crimp tool with crimp beads and crimp tubes. Thank You!!!
Hi Laurie -- I am glad that the video was helpful! I hope you enjoy beading!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
Laurie Udall yeah very helpful thank you
You did an excellent job describing and showing how to close a bracelet.
Laurie Udall I always leave a longer tail that goes back through my beads. The reason for that is, if the crimp ever comes loose and the wire can slip out, you have some warning before it comes out completely and then beads will start falling off. Another thing I do is put a jump ring (20 gauge) between the wire guardian and the clasp. I had a broken clasp that I couldn't swap out because I had, directly attached it to the beading wire, guardian or not. I had to redo my entire project. Lesson learned! Also your wires MUST be parallel inside the crimp bead/tube.
Me too. I’ve bought numerous crimping tools trying to get it right. Now I really c how it’s done.
Watching these videos and each time I’m getting closer to trying it.Thank you! I have practiced a little bit but now I realize I have to get better quality wire guardians and crimp beads. The cheaper ones fall apart. Thanks again!
I agree with Laurie Udall!! Your video was the most helpful.
Thank you so much for this great tutorial showing how to use a wire cover, crimp tube, and how to slide the clasp over the wire protector before crimping the crimp tube closed. That was so easy to follow and understand. 💗
My goodness,if you were a teacher,no children would have been failing exams, and the parents teachers meetings would have been more beautiful ..where have all the teachers gone and one is right here in you tube,,,,,,I must tell you this,,,you are gifted in teaching,,,is not the question of beads nor bracelet at all,,,,I perceived it in you,,,,,,have been watching youtube videos,,,,,,none can be compared to your explanatory ground,,,,,my goodness,,,thank you,you are a blessing.."
Hi Elizabeth, how nice of you to write such a thoughtful comment! I truly appreciate your words --- you made my day! :D
Thank you for this video, everyone else teaches you to use the 1st hole rather than the bit sticking downwards, I have been trying all day to make that way work until I found this method and it WORKS!!
Thank you for share details of make ending of bracelets! ❤❤❤
OMG, Lady! I've been doing the crimp tube wrong for 22 years. I finally gave up using wire. You finally showed me the correct way to use the crimper.
What a wonderful tutorial! You were very detailed and as a new comer to the beading hobby it was appreciated. Also your design for the bracelet was beautiful, something I would like. So, thank you and I'll be sure to look to your videos to help me thru this fun learning experience!☺️
Beautiful work and very well explained.
This is an older video but I wanted you to know its a really good one. Really shows how to crimp properly. Thank you!
I've watched hundred of these. You have it down to a calming art. Thanks so much
Wonderfully instructive video, excellent communication, thnx!
I have watched many videos as I am a beginner in this craft. The close ups of the crimps, covers, and guardians were very helpful. I thank you for making this video as I start my new craft. My many grandkids will love them and I feel confident I can do a better job after watching your video.
Best beginner video I’ve ever seen. I hope to find more from you. Thank you.
I have been beading for years. But I love reviewing techniques. Thank you.
This is amazing, Thank you so much, you've answered some of the mystery around making amatuer looking jewelry, and professional looking jewelry. Awesome, thank you !!!
Thank you so much for the educational video....after looking thru tons of tutorials, you had the best! I make bracelets for the ladies in the nursing home and they love picking out their own beads and now I have learned a much better way to start and end them. You are a treasure for showing me!
Hi Lynn, thank you so much for such a lovely comment! :)
Thank you so much for clear visuals and detailed instructions. Very helpful, especially for a novice.
Thank you so very much!! You helped immensely.
This is the best video I have seen by far! You zoom in very close and show as many details as ppssible... you keep your hands out of the way and for the most part...the camera on your project...You speak clearly and slowly aand explain everything you do...and also your nails and hands are almost immaculate...I would just put a complete clear coat on your nails as some OCD people like myself notice these things...Great job...I will look for more of your videos!
Thank you, thank you for a great video. So many others skim through the steps and don’t really show it. Your video is so detailed and I can see each step you do. Fantastic, thank you
Awesome! Instructions Wow! God bless you..
Oh my gosh you have no idea how much I have struggled with crimp tubes/beads! Your tutorial is awesome! Thank you for explaining it. I’m sure it will help! Honestly I was just thinking this morning how much I need to have some help with this! 🤗
Thank you so much. Been having trouble with crimp covers and yours is the best tutorial I’ve watched so far. 👍
Hi Marlene, thanks so much for you comment, and I'm glad my video was a help to you. Thanks again, and have a great day! :)
I’ve been making jewelry for 6 years, but I learned today about wire guardians! Thank you! What if the bead holes are so small that you can’t get the wire back through the last beads? I’ve had to cut the wire short and glue the end. Not a pretty finish.
Very thorough and informative. Have seen quite a few videos, nothing compared to yours, hands down! Thanks for helping us to learn the CORRECT way to make a bracelet.
Best video I’ve seen that actually explained and showed the use of the crimping process. In fact, I’ve ordered some nice gemstone bracelets off of Etsy - however they were made without the crimp guards, and didn’t even cover the crimping beads with a cover. That said I plan to restring them myself using your great tutorial!
I know this video was made several years ago and it is still relevant for a beading newbie like me.
Thank you so much!!! ✨✨✨
Excellent tutorial!!
Very well done showing crimping, covers and wire guards, easy to follow, video was great
FINALLY!!!!! I found the perfect video, in focus, perfect explanation on how and where to use what bead and tool!!!!!!! thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!
Thank you for such a kind comment! I am glad that I was able to help. Happy Beading! :)
Perfect tutorial for me as a beginner. Very very clear to see how to crimp....something I wasn't too sure about previously. So many thanks.
Crimping takes some practice, but once it finally "clicks" it becomes pretty easy. (Although I do admit that every so often I still mangle a crimp, LOL.)
Thanks for your information it's very helpful 😊😊😊😊❤
Thank you for a very explicit video on crimp tubes, covers and guardians. Brilliant!! so clear, and as a beginner, like me, I was struggling with this exercise when finishing my work, bracelets in particular, but now after seeing your video I feel confident I will be able to get to grips with it. THANK YOU the best video I have seen on this particular project.
Hi Jean, thank you so much for your kind words -- they mean a lot. :) I am glad that the video was helpful, and that you feel more confident! :D
@@beadedjewelrydivaBEEN THINKING OF DOING JEWELRY, YOU MADE IT SO CLEAR,STEP BY STEP..LOOKS LIKE I'M GOING TO GET MY FEET WET! I'M 70 YRS OLD TOO..😎
I’m brand new with this and absolutely hate how ugly the crimp beads are. I had never heard of crimp covers and planned to purchase some. You did a beautiful job on this bracelet. I also did not know about threading the tail back through the beads and I’ve had several things where I cut the tail off and had a little sharp point.thanks for doing such a great video
Thank you for taking the time to cover the second crimp as carefully as the first. As many other commenters below, I have more trouble with the wire when the beads are all on.
Hi Harlan, thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment! :)
Love ur project, beautiful beads!
Excellent video with great close-up shots.
REALLY a good, clear explanatory video. Thank you!
I've done a lot of beaded necklaces and never even heard of a wire guardian! I learned something new today. Your video is really clear and very well done. Thank you! I've subscribed!

Fantastic video. Easy to understand and easy to SEE what you are doing. Thank you very much.
Thank you for sharing. I wish i knew this before spending hundreds of dollars buying bracelets. I still looking forward to buying tools tu o make jewelry with and for my daughter, she is taking over my bracelets and earrings!!!
VERY good explanation, the BEST one I"ve seen yet
Thank you! Great video.❤
I wanna make sure that viewers are aware that the amount of beads you use can vary with the size of your wrist. More for larger wrists and less for smaller.
Excellent video!
Thank you so much for explaining how to crimp. I've looked at several video but yours was the best one!
+maria delgado Thank you so much! I am glad I was able to help. :)
I use the crimp pliers to close the crimp bead cover. Love your video.
Thank you for this video! Your instructions were very clear and I can actually see what you were doing! I have never seen or heard of a wire guardian… Going to the store today! Thank you 😊
Thank you so much, I found your instructions so easy to follow and by far the best I have viewed so far. I was so eager to start a project after watching that I have just finished a necklace, it certainly very tidy and neat.

Beaded Jewelry Diva ,
Very detailed; very specific demonstrations. Excellent video tutorial.
I like to watch these teaching tutorials because I'm always looking for a better way to close crimp covers - I can't seem to fashion them into a perfect circle. I guess short, easy squeezes work best rather than one or two firm squeezes. The wires should be straight and separated between the crimp, avoiding having them twisted and/or bunched up on one side. I've learned the hard way to leave about a 1/4 inch between the crimp and the first (or last) bead, otherwise, you run the risk of shattering itty bitty beads like 15/0's when crimping the tube. Thanks for the tutorial.
I appreciate the way you explained each step as you demonstrated . I learned a lot. I can't wait to use your techniques.- Thanks

She should do more videos!
Mis respetos para ti...la verdad que tienes interes en que todas aprendamos.y contigo si que aprendemos mucho..ojala todas fueran asi de perfectas para enseñar asi como tu lo haces...gracias que Dios te bendiga
If you attach the bar with jump rings, it makes it much easier to insert and remove it from the ring, gives it some movability. Also fold the crimp bead up tight and make sure the wires don’t cross before you crimp it the first time.
Well done, Gail Nettles!
Why thank you ma'am! :D
THANK YOU so much for this video. I was looking for help and you showed me exactly how to do this perfectly! I have the items, but didn't know how to use them. A perfect, explicit video, best one out on internet!!!
Such a good video
Excellent video! I love your close-ups and your detailed descriptions! Thank you!
Thank you, Sarah -- I appreciate your kind comment. :D
Thank you for explaining this so well and thoroughly!
I was watching this for the wire guard portion, but just have to call you on your crimping technique. In step 1 of crimping, the wires are supposed to be separated by the little 'canal' or indentation; they are not supposed to touch. Yet you have both wires on one side of the crimped tube. If you know this and saw it you should have fixed it - it would have been a good learning opportunity for us. If you didn't know it, now you do. ;) I noticed that one of the comments was: "I'm having trouble getting crimp beads to hold tight". Not keeping the wires separated is likely the cause. The wires simply slide back and forth against one another rather then being held tightly in place by the tube.)
Hi Nancy, thanks so much for your comment! I can't always see everything as clear as I might like while I am filming -- when I work off-camera, I tend to hold my work up close...which I can't do while on camera. ;) Thanks again, and have a nice day!
Ahhh...I understand. I have to use magnifying glasses, myself!
Hello, thank you for this tutorial 😁 I brought some supplies a few weeks ago to make myself some Handmade Stitch Markers for my Crochet projects. I have never done anything like this before, I also was not sure about crimps & crimp covers 😋 but I know how to use them now, so this will come in handy for me 😁💕 Erica x
FirevMountain Gems and Beads carry the wire guardian and so do Michaels if you have one in your area. Sorry about my spelling.FireMountain of course is on line. I love you video by the way, put it in my fav. file so I can keep going back to it.
Thank you, Anita! :D
To Sue Z -- I used beading wire (Softflex, medium weight, 49 strand) in the original stainless color.
Beaded Jewelry Diva I went to the link and posted this question there too because I'm now a bit confused. It said to get 21 strand there and it says 49 strand here. Can you please clarify? Thanks again (even with this question, I still feel way more confident than I did before..LOL!)
Thank you so much. The bracelet you made is beautiful and inspiring as well and I can't wait to get started on my necklace.
That was so helpful. I've never done these before and your video has helped me to do it right. Thank you.
Hi Monique, I am glad that my video was helpful -- hope you have fun with your projects! :)
Just completed my first bracelet, thank you!
+Kim Williamson Excellent! I hope you had fun! :)
