Oh gosh...Thank You. I needed this video. I just bought one of these machines. And I love it but I couldnt figure out how to change the timer and temperature settings. Im sure reading the directions would help to though. LOL
Hot tip: Use the drip tray, but run a small amount of water into the tray. The drip tray will catch everything and cleaning it up is super easy. I have roasted everything this way and my drip tray is still immaculate.
Now, thank you for showing us that you don’t need to preheat to toast, because he wants to wait 17 minutes to get there toast? People are already done eating their eggs and everything else by 17 minutes. Can you show how to make hashbrowns next time? I know they usually make them on the grill, but what would you use?
Because of my religious persuasion I don’t eat bacon, but you can cook the fake “ plant protein” bacon or turkey bacon on the tray and I bet it would come out really good.
Did you do those steaks with the fryer mode instead of the grill mode?Because I’ve seen them cook on the bottom rack, and they get nice and seared as well. I guess you can just pick and choose the method you want to do for your steaks. Your result is more like if you pan fried steak instead of grilling it.
love when some one does a full honest review on a product. Now I don't even have to read the manual. Love the internet, learning is so much easier, enjoyable and faster.
I purchased this air fryer about a month ago and absolutely love it! What I love is the ability to toast approximately 20 pieces of toast by standing the bread slices up. Use the regular baking dish on the toast level and then sliding the baking rack on the slot above and standing the bread up and toasting it was a huge time saving trick for me when I had a kids sleepover a few weeks ago. I haven't turned my oven on since I got this and don't really have plans to do so until the holidays when I have multiple dishes needing to be made at one.
I have been looking at a Toaster Oven Air Fryer for a long time. Some are very small, some have limited temp (400%-450% max) some have a built in thermometer, etc... This checks off most features I would like to have. I love these videos you made. I saw the infomercial but yours helped me more. Thanks!
I just bought this oven from the Shopping Channel in Canada and am so excited to use it. I love visually seeing how something works rather than reading the manual. Thank you so much...this really helps!
Your wonderful reviews have really helped on this multi tasker! I just received mine from QVC. Not only is it esthetically pleasing to the eye, it truly is a great device to have in the kitchen. I followed all instructions to burn off oil. Only prior, I soaped it down with a hot dishcloth in Dawn sudsy water, inside and out, throughly rinsed, and dried it down. When I did this process, I opened up windows and turned on fans. Once the oven was cooled, I unplugged and soaped it down again! I did a trial test run by baking vegetable spring rolls from Trader Joe's. I did not use the presets but preheated oven for 10 minutes and baked them on center rack,(airfry rack) at 400° for 17 minutes. They came out perfectly crispy! Far better than in my normal oven and note: there was no smell other than the scrumptious smell of spring rolls. I will tell you right now, I LOVE THIS. I researched many and I'm very well pleased with my decision to purchase. Much gratitude to you Jeff for your incredible reviews! Very much appreciated 💯🙋♀️

This is an excellent review of the Air Fryer. I didn't see it on TV but I saw it on sale at my grocery store. I wasn't sure how large of a capacity because they didn't have a display and hard to tell from the box picture. I had another French door air fryer, by Oster, and after only a few uses, the electrical system went out. After seeing review this, I will go back and get this one tomor. Thanku

Just got mine and I'm so excited to start using it! I want to thank you for walking me through the set up in part 1 of your video and thanks for this video which shows me how to make these delicious dishes. Gonna try to make a rotisserie chicken for dinner.
These are great reviews you a doing. I especially like the fact that you show the finished cooking results from an average person instead of the typical manufacturer's hype. I have noticed your results from this Maxx Air Fryer Oven is showing a constant issue. It seems anything located in the rear of the oven seems to overcook. That tells me the air is not circulating very well inside the unit. Apparently, there is a "dead" spot in the rear of the oven that blocks the air movement. That could be a game-changer for some. I think it is for me. Thanks for an honest review with example cooking.
Luv it. 💃💞 just bought this. Came in just under a week. I'm new to all this new stuff and technology since I'm a farm girl. It looks very intimidating 🥺. Tks for the video.. I think I'll put on my big girl panties and head to city tomorrow and get some oven string and make me a roast. Hugss wish me luck. 🤷♀️

I make toast in mine. No preheating. 7 min done perfectly. I even added a piece of cheese and ham at the 5 min mark and put the 2 pcs of toast together. Came out nice
Great tutorials/reviews! Very comprehensive! Q: why won’t you put in the drip try? Is it because the lower heating element is on for this setting? What would the difference between the chicken setting vs the rotisserie setting?
Awesome videos! I'm in the market for an air fryer but a bit apprehensive because of the expense. After all vids I've watched its come down to the Maxx and the Ninja Foodi Air Fryer Oven? Which is your favorite? Thank you!
I have the 10 quart and it only said pre heat just once when you first unbox before cooking in it. I have 4 videos so far on my channel using mine. I love my Kalorik smart fryer oven
I'd like to know if you are still using this oven and it's still performing ok? I just got a different brand air oven in Dec. 20 and it quit working in August 21... now I need a new oven and I want one that works and still works after a year!
Hey Jeff I recently got this Kalorik Maxx Air Fryer and I was at Kohl's here in Broward County , FL I was stumped on another Air Fryer which is the Emeril Lagasse Power AirFryer 360 . I noticed pricing was Different so I decided the more expensive one which was the Kalorik Maxx. Hopefully I chose the right one. Just of curiosity have you done any comparisons?
hahaha, I noticed that when I was reviewing the video. I almost put an emoji over it in the video. My son put it there (because that's where it goes, and not in the medicine cabinet). Thanks for your kind words!
Hi. I appreciate your series of the Kaloric Maxx Air Fryer. They’re very helpful in understanding how the machine works and what it can do. I ended up buying one bc of your videos. However, I’m a bit disappointed because I just washed the trays and accessories it came with, and the bacon tray is chipped in two parts. The black coating is coming off. It’s crumbling off. I wonder if the trays are not going to last. What do you think so far? Have you tried the Breville and Cuisinart. I preferred this one bc of the rotisserie option, but I’m now wondering if the quality just isn’t there.
That's interesting about the pieces not holding up to a wash. I'm sure if you reached out to the company they would replace them. Personally I don't put any pots, pans, or trays into the dishwasher. I hand wash them and they have held up pretty well.
I didn't follow toasting directions per Kalorik instructions. I put my toast in the cold oven, put the temp at 425°, and toasted for 4 minutes. Worked perfectly. I used Ezekiel bread.
Would you say this was the best one? I've read some things that say it's not as good, with only 1700 watts instead of the ones with 1800, also not a good seal on the doors...what is your opinion, buy or keep looking?
I like it, but then again $200 is a lot of money (in my opinion). I find that 6-8 months after they are released the price drops pretty quick. I do use mine on a weekly basis...very convenient. I haven't noticed any trouble with the doors. I hope this helps. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
@@e2U cool, I find it easy to use. I would say the glass and unit can get warm - hot...be careful not to touch them or use oven mitts. Thanks for sharing.
One of the very BEST reviews (on Air Fryer Ovens) that I’ve EVER seen. I was having a Hell of a time deciding between the Breville, Cuisinart, Cosori, and Kalorik. The problem with the Kalorik is that it’s so...”New” (so very little reviews on it, so far). So THANKS Dude, for your two thorough (Awesome 😄👍) reviews on this. It would seem (looking at these four, that the Kalorik is the Best (especially if you want that Rotisserie option), with a large capacity 👍
Thanks for your kind words, so far I like the Kalorik, but you're right sometimes you need to wait until the bugs are all out...thanks for stopping by and commenting.
I use mine 3-4 times per week...that being said I only use foil when using the rotisserie feature to avoid excess mess. hope this helps...hasn't damaged my machine that I know of.
Good job Jeff. I'm looking into buying one of those air fryers as there on sale at my local grocery store for a good price! Your review really helped me to make a decision. Thanks!
Ok Jeff I’m getting warm make me a believer lol going to jump to video 3 now but very well done , you need to be the next Infomercial SuperStar lol hey that should be a show?? See on the next one
Thanks for the great review, my friend! However, the steak and roast appeared over cooked by my standards. That’s just personal taste though. How does it compare in size, performance, and price to other ovens you’ve tested like the Power Air Fryer 360? My Breville Smart Oven Air recommends always putting the drip pan above the lower heat elements. By looks, this appears similar to one by Cuisinart, just like the Power Air Fryer 360 looks like the Emeril unit. My Breville is HUGE and eats a lot of counter space. Comparing to my friend’s Emeril, mine cost more and doesn’t have a rotisserie, but the build quality (cabinet, knobs, racks, etc) is MUCH better.
Hi Jeff, thanks for the video.. two questions.. how much did that rotisserie roast weigh, do you remember a guesstimate? You mentioned in the comments that you didn’t love the dehydrator, is that feature completely useless on this model? If so, did you find an air fryer with a better dehydrator?
I liked this review very much. I recently got mine and the first thing we did was a rotisserie chicken, there was A LOT of smoke! I don’t know how I feel about it. I was very excited about this product. Could you do a rotisserie chicken? I didn’t see too much smoke while you did the roast neither did you mentioned it. Thanks in advance!
Hi Jeff, I just brought the Maxx Air Fryer Oven, but when I tried to air fry, I didn't see the round middle coil turn red. Is that normal or does that mean it is broken? The video really helps. Thank you!!
This is a air fryer that I wanted originally but my brother another kind will you.. Air fryer that we got says so we have to clean the inside all of it every time we use it... Do you also have to do that to the kaloric?
Hi Jeff, I have bought one, and I am happy with the Air fryers, but I have tried to bake some cookies and they burn, apart from the tray, do you have to put another tray on top for baking? Do you know how can i do ??
I've burned a few things as well..It's a bit of trial and error...I raised the rack up one and have a tray under the item I put in too cook so it doesn't burn. Hope this helps. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Thanks for the quick reply, I like to use the disposable foil pans and wanted to make sure they fit (been disappointed before), Been perusing your other Vids. Good stuff
The pan that you put the cinnamon roll/bacon wrap in does not come with the oven - at least I did not get one with my oven. What type of pan is the one you used for the roll and does Kalorik sell sch items?
Dude I just made this lol a bit over 5 lbs of meat put in for 1 hour and 20 mins and 5 min heat up. At 1st I had the heat at 375 but lowered it to 350 about 30 min in. came out crispy on the outside soft and juicy on the inside. It came out so good that the strings I used to hold it together looked good.
I have one of the original machines. Dehydrating was a little difficult. I'm told they corrected the issue of length of time. Check out this review on dehydrating feature: ua-cam.com/video/WUkoQjcgx3s/v-deo.html
I'm looking for an air fryer to cook primarily home made cut fries using our own lard as well as frying chicken, again using healthy oils. Also looking for an appliance that is either stainless steel or enamel ware not non stick. nothing you showed was a help . Do you know of or done a review on such an appliance?

Just got mine and I'm so excited to start using it! I want to thank you for walking me through the set up in part 1 of your video and thanks for this video which shows me how to make these delicious dishes. Gonna try to make a rotisserie chicken for dinner.
How did it turn out? Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
I love my Kaloric, cooked steak recently, delicious, but made the smoke alarm go off !! Any Suggestions ?
I always try and protect the heating elements from grease on them. This is where the smoke comes from. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 🙂
Do you prefer the Kalorik Maxx or the Emeral Lagasse 26 quart one you also reviewed? Which one is better, in your opinion.
I liked them both, I ended up giving the Kalorik away and I use the 360 a few times per week. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
@@Jeffreviews4u That's excellent information. Thanks so much for the quick reply.
@@jenniferloffer happy to help!
Great review. Seriously thinking about buying one. I too enjoy cooking. I have a ninja xl air fryer that I love. I use it ALL the time.
I like it, if you end up getting it let me know what you think.
Thanks for doing this Jeff. How much of weight (lbs) can we add to the rotisserie rod?
These are great reviews you a doing. I especially like the fact that you show the finished cooking results from an average person instead of the typical manufacturer's hype. I have noticed your results from this Maxx Air Fryer Oven is showing a constant issue. It seems anything located in the rear of the oven seems to overcook. That tells me the air is not circulating very well inside the unit. Apparently, there is a "dead" spot in the rear of the oven that blocks the air movement. That could be a game-changer for some. I think it is for me. Thanks for an honest review with example cooking.
I do believe there are hot spots in the airfryer. I tend to rotate things as I cook. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
You got this! It takes a little getting used to but it gets easier with practice. Keep us updated.
@@Jeffreviews4u your so sweet.. the roast was good. A bit under cooked. 🙈 I put the poc on my Facebook. Doesn't allow to put one here....soooo your missing out on the drool factor. Lol yes I do need to use it more. Xoxo
Thank you!
I haven't tried the Ninja Foodi, but I have heard good things about it. I will say I use my Maxx every week.
@@Jeffreviews4u is that the Ninja AF that you can stand while not using? I would also like to compare them.
Thinking of buying this. Who on here has had theirs a long time and for how long? Some things I buy don't seem to last very long Great job, Jeff!
Great reviews
Can you tell me if there's a plate cover over the interior bulb of the oven
I just got one and I'm wondering if it missing
Mine has a glass cover over the bulb. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
thank you for sharing. I watched all your video of Kaorik Ari Fryer. Could you let me know why mine won't rotate? thanks
Could you do a video on chicken wings on the Kaloric Max's?. I would love to see how that worked. Thanks again. GREAT JOB!!!!
I have the 10 quart and it only said pre heat just once when you first unbox before cooking in it. I have 4 videos so far on my channel using mine. I love my Kalorik smart fryer oven
Hey there friend. They are 2 different machines. This Kalorik Maxx is the most recent release. Thanks for stopping by and commenting
@@Jeffreviews4u if mine dies I'll be sure to buy whatever the newer model is cause even my daughters who are budding chefs love cooking in it.
I checked out a couple of your videos - great content...love your energy!
@@Jeffreviews4u likewise and thank you so much. All the best!
How do you like this one compared to the Emerial French door 360? Thanks!
Great Video! Thanks so much! Like the Toast and rotisserie tips!!!!
I'd like to know if you are still using this oven and it's still performing ok? I just got a different brand air oven in Dec. 20 and it quit working in August 21... now I need a new oven and I want one that works and still works after a year!
Yes, I still use mine... not as frequent as I used it in the beginning...2-3 time per month
I also decided with the Kalorik over the Emeril 360 I hope we both made the right choice,I feel alot better after watching Jeff's videos.
Wow, thanks! You are an excellent "teacher". I will be following u. Please be careful if that is a rubbing alcohol bottle next to any heat source.
hahaha, I noticed that when I was reviewing the video. I almost put an emoji over it in the video. My son put it there (because that's where it goes, and not in the medicine cabinet). Thanks for your kind words!
@@Jeffreviews4u Gave a peaceful Father's day! I'm going to get my hubby this fryer & retire our oil deep fryer.
Thanks! This air fryer is a lot of fun to cook with. Let me know what he thinks.
Walmart in Canada has this for $129 CAD for Black Friday. Would you say it's worth it?
I like mine and use it all the time. Very convenient.
Steak I would want medium rare so just adjust time? Also BBQ rubs before cooking?
@@Jeffreviews4u thank you. I'm getting it for a 90 yr old veteran/first responder as I'm putting him on a no processed foods and low sugar diet.
Thanks for the quick reply and your bit of humor. But what about the foil causing overheating. Can that damage the unit?
I use mine 3-4 times per week...that being said I only use foil when using the rotisserie feature to avoid excess mess. hope this helps...hasn't damaged my machine that I know of.
Good job Jeff. I'm looking into buying one of those air fryers as there on sale at my local grocery store for a good price! Your review really helped me to make a decision. Thanks!
Only 159@ Kohls, and if you have discounts or open a credit card you'll save 35%, which is 105+tax :)
Regarding the steaks... Do you actually have to put them so high into the oven? can't you use a lower rack?
I guess you could...I used the steak placement. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Ok Jeff I’m getting warm make me a believer lol going to jump to video 3 now but very well done , you need to be the next Infomercial SuperStar lol hey that should be a show?? See on the next one
Thank you for these videos! I love your voice by the way. :)
Thanks for the video Dr. Jeff! - A Fellow Upstater.
Absolutely! Thanks for checking it out and Go Bills!
What is the best 1 to buy?
You should get paid by this company. Your demonstrates are wonderful. Their accompanying instructions didn't help me at all. Thank you so much!
lol...they dont even know who I am. Thanks for kind words. Have a great day and stay safe.
thanks thinking about a purchase so this helped!
happy to help! Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Love your reviews! Can you do some multi cooking using more than one rack at a time, like Emeril does in his air fryer? Thanks
Haha...it was overcooked...I like mine red in the middle. Thanks for commenting
Thank you!!
Correct coils do not turn red. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
@@Jeffreviews4u Dr. Jeff, then how come the other coils turn red. thank you for the response
I just tested it out. On mine the upper ones light red on airfryer mode. On oven mode both uppers and lowers are red.
@@Jeffreviews4u Thank you Dr. Jeff!!
This is a air fryer that I wanted originally but my brother another kind will you.. Air fryer that we got says so we have to clean the inside all of it every time we use it... Do you also have to do that to the kaloric?
All air fryers recommend cleaning after each use. You're really just wiping it down when cooled. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
@@Jeffreviews4u Thank you, I will, I will put one tray on top of the other to see if they don't burn like that, greetings from Panama
Really like your review on the Kalorik. I have one question - what size is the pan? I know 26 qt but want the pan size
The pan it came with or one I used?
@@Jeffreviews4u thought you used a stock pan, didn't know if a 1/4 sheet pan or a 1/ pan would fit? Looking for the inside dimensions
The pan that came with it is 12 5/8 X 11 7/8. That's the largest pan it will fit.
What type of pan is the one you used for the roll and does
Kalorik sell sch items?
That was a 9 inch cake pan that I already had. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Please tell me if you need a heat-resistant rope, if so, where to get it.
I use butcher string. Works well in the oven. Hope this helps.
Thanks for sharing your experience with this item. Have a great day and stay safe.
Jeff have you used the DEHYDRATOR yet? and do you still love the machine? I am thinking of getting one, thanks.
I can't make toast when I'm rushing...it takes forever...thanks Jeff
Haha...I use my toaster. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Very nice video. Pretty surprised and somewhat disappointed that the rotisserie shaft doesn't have a pointed end.
You and me both. It was pretty difficult to get the spit through.
came back to look at the stake making that next lol also my spinning meant came out great i did 7lbs of it, was crunchy on the out side and juicy on the inside
It takes a little getting used to but I don't complain.
Hi which is better.. this one or the emeril's version?
I just bought one. Not sure if the bottom back element is working.
Anyone know what setting activates both bottom elements??
Thanks.
