I was surprised to learn that such a game mode was possible. I was even more surprised to learn that not only was it possible, there were speed run categories for it...
I'm finding new found appreciation for fast/the fastest times on DLTK levels once I complete them. I certainly understand how lucky you were at 5:23 to not die.
Yes, I was only supposed to lure one guard there. There seems to be about a 20-30% chance of dying each time a guard tries to shoot you from close range like that left guard did so I could easily have died then. Well done on your progress on DLTK so far :)
Me too. I used to play a lot of normal mode but that has been ruined because of the stupid strategies that you have to use now if you want to get good times on a lot of the levels.
@@AdamBozon Unsure what you and the elite are up to now. I began using math to determine how hard these levels are to players. Since I'm a certified idiotic genius I refrained simply to enjoy the game. My time on this stage DLTK is still over 10 minutes. I know what you're thinking - you remember years ago anything over ten minutes was considered quick. I hope that when you first saw mine you got the FFVI reference. Congrats to us though. I'm not going to be the fastest before I die though we did complete the mission.
@@Greatermaxim I've started playing again recently after nearly one and a half years off but haven't had any PRs yet. I can remember Ilari having the WR with 15:47 for a long time but a lot of players would just stop after getting their first completion and wouldn't make much of an effort to speedrun levels back then. I remember you using FFVI music on your run.
@@AdamBozon If there's still a challenge left I'd be surprised. GE, Chess, SSB, and many games have no hidden information. They can be won. My immediate family and friends have almost no clue what DLTK is. I suppose it might have been better to be good at more normal things than games. I don't want it to sound like a regret because you have to do things to be proud of yourself.
I don't know how many bars of damage they do but the throwing knives seem to do about triple the damage that most guns do such as the KF7 Soviet on this level.
Yeah, I removed my original comment. The confusion revolved around the 3:00 mainframe strategy in the Safe Room at. My memory of this run was wrong. I thought for a second the guards in the hallway on the other side of the wall didn't perform that bug where they duplicate themselves. Turns out, yeah: they duplicated, you just had to lure them out later in the run I remember experimenting with an emulator on this level back in the day using savestates, and the guards in that hallway did NOT duplicate when I tried luring them to the mainframe in the Safe Room. I thought there might have been a serious PAL advantage to this level on DLTK
At this point in time everyone is a noob on LTK/DLTK combined. I mean if Lloyd Palmer completes Silo before Adam completes Streets, Depot, and Jungle he will be the first not to be a noob. Right?
It stands for Dark Licence to Kill. It's an extra hard skill level that some people play where you change the settings to Enemy Health 1000%, Enemy Damage 1000%, Enemy Accuracy 100% and Enemy Reaction Speed 100%.
In the future under ten minutes is the norm for this level. Anyone over that time on Bunker second visit DLTK is too old to play and/or has truly retired.
lol the swarm of guards running to the mainframe
So cool to see ask the guards lured into the room with the safe, and then explode them all. Well done!

I’ve seen a few of your videos you’re truly a gifted gamer, your videos are AMAZING… You make it look so easy too; 007 WOULD BE PROUD YOU. 😂😁😂

I love DLTK because the runs use a lot of the intended game strategies

One of the best videos in internet.
Thanks :)

The ultimate frugal gamer!
How many bars of damage do the throwing knives inflict? In the beginning of the run it took only four or five throws to pass a guard away.
I don't know how many bars of damage they do but the throwing knives seem to do about triple the damage that most guns do such as the KF7 Soviet on this level.
5:38 did you almost forget this one or was it planned how you did that?
That was planned. It's a little bit quicker for me to run past it and then shoot it afterwards while I wait for next two guards to come.

hhahah, 2:45 is amazing.

Well it's 2 years later, still noobish and stuff? My guess is yes.
Where did you get the throwing knifes from?
They're under the grating in the far right corner of the first room. You can pick them up with the Watch Magnet Attract if you're standing near there.
