Shaping a Recall (Training Come Command) Part 4 Using Premack Principle

Observe your dog to find out what activities and materials she likes to (and can safely) interact with and use these to strengthen your recall. Please use common sense with long lines and if your dog has no car sense, do not use them near roads etc.

The Premack Principle is the most effective tool you have to train a recall and in training in general. What is your dog's greatest love (aka biggest distraction?) Use that!

Hi Donna, sorry, me again, when would you add the cue in all this? would it be just the dog's name or dog's name 'come' or 'here' Whenever exercises are done at lots of different levels upping criteria and in different places etc. I'm never sure when you would add it.

Would you suggest not to use a name for recall? I watched part 2 and read where to put commands but if i was with 2 dogs and only wanted 1 to come can i add the name?
