I’m a current graduate student at Columbia and CNN is doing terrible job of actually covering the entire debate and what’s happening there. I saw protests almost every week since this happened in October, and they were mostly peaceful. But no one mentioned the pro-Palestinian students that were doxxed for speaking out, or one of my Arab-American professors that was assaulted by a Jewish student on Amsterdam Ave outside of the campus gates. When your neighbors are led by a group that only want the total destruction of your country and your people as stated clearly in their charter. When those same neighbors massacre over 1000 of your citizens in a single day and take civilian hostages including young children. It makes sense to many that you'd want to eradicate this enemy. And unfortunately for the Palestinian people, Hamas hides in a complex tunnel system using their own citizens as human shields above ground. They build their bases under hospitals and schools to maximize the damage of their own citizens. This is why people support what is happening in Gaza. At this point why extinguish a quarter of the fire? So that Hamas can keep terrorizing each and every year? - This is on Hamas. They started the war. They broke the ceasefire, as they ALWAYS do.

I don’t understand how they have the time for this in the middle of a semester
This is the last week of class for us anyway. Semester ends 4/30.
I know, right? I mean, who would put their lives and freedom on the line for what is right instead of putting their lives on hold to make obscene amounts of money at the expense of workers?
@@CaravanseraiSouthValley to harass Jews and support terrorism is not what is right.
@@annamoris9753 Harassment and assault/battery are local matters. That’s why the assholes have been arrested. As for supporting terrorism, you seem to be struggling with basic arithmetic and some exceptionally proud racism on your part.

Its so interesting to see left wing journalism criticizing the spawns they have created.
Always trouble and strife and violence from this one religion. All over the world, at all times, and often against each other and itself.
Trouble strife and violence come from all religions.
Really where?
@@TravisWilton-pp3rpwhen was the last time a different religion cut off heads of kidnapped children from a concert?
So just like any other religion?
@@mattt5006 you can look back throughout history when religion made people do terrible things. The crusades for example? Or the what the Catholic Church has done to indigenous people in north and South America and Africa. Religion is the problem. Not the solution.
Hey Dana, congress passed a law to condemn “ from the river the sea”” that is Islamophobia, Netanyahu use the phrase, that is we gone through holocaust 😭
Nothing wrong with protests against a country but if they are directed at a particular race, religion or ethnicity etc then it's a problem.
If you let these particular protesters get away right now, you could be their target next time.
When is the wimpy President going to speak out against this.
Rather have a "wimpy" president than a psychotic fascist...call me crazy...
It is ironic that the American media deliberately holds discussions on a topic that is not related to the reality of the student protests in American universities. This is not about anti-Semitism or students of any race. The students are expressing their rejection of the killing and genocide against the Palestinians committed by Israel. Why? You did not hold dialogues about the students’ opinion about what is happening in Palestine. This is the heart of the matter. And you deliberately mislead the American public through a topic that has absolutely nothing to do with the student protests. Why don’t you point to the financial lobbies’ control over the administrations of American universities and bartering the students’ freedom of study by silencing them and threatening them? If anyone is threatened, they are the protesting students. With your coverage, you are spreading division among the students and creating hatred of your own imagination. The events in Palestine have revealed the illusion of fake democracy in America.

NYPD should arrest these students and fine them $1000 everytime. Imagine how much NY will make - and NY needs this money desperately. OR all universities should just start expelling these students and give admission to those deserving students that qualified based on their admission criteria but they turned away. I'm sure those that were refused will jump on a chance to go to these ivy's. These entitled students will stop this disruption immediately if they know they will loose their fees (which is 90k+ in most of these ivy's). If any of these students have received grants or any federal aid as scholarships, they must be revoked. Stop giving tax payer's money to these kids. They believe in a cause - it is good, but causing disruption - NOT on taxpayer's money.
God damn okay Fascist!!
Exactly 💯

Na! Biden will cancel it again!
Police should be personally fined every time there is misconduct. Be forced to carry malpractice insurance.
All respect to the students who have real awareness despite brainwashing attempts
Why can't the young students Israeli and Palestinians talk about the future not the past and have a two-state solution we need more kindness as an old woman I'd expect more of it educated students more especially knowing what we know about the last World War and how badly the Jews were treated I never thought I would see the way the world is turning now in my lifetime
People really can’t understand that this isn’t about Jews it’s about Israelis and that is very different(especially because many Jews support Palestine). They are just bringing the antisemitism for more empathy. We have nothing against the Jews and before Palestine was occupied there were many Jewish Palestinians so stop bringing religion to this. The problem is with Israelis wether they were Jewish,Christians or Muslims. Me as a Palestinian I was never allowed to visit my OWN country just because I am Palestinian but any Jew from any other country can easily visit. How would you think two countries solution would ever work when having one of them be in control and being supported by the US while the other is being treated like shit just because they were born as Palestinians. I have relatives (not from Gaza btw) that never felt safe a day in their life and Everyday felt threatened either by taking their home or being arrested or killed for the past years. When Palestine was occupied there were some Palestinians who decided to take the Israeli passport just to stay and not be kicked out (so technically they are considered Israeli) are treated horribly. Whenever they do the smallest thing they easily take their passport and take all their money and house and throw them in one of the refugee camps. So simply they are just against Palestinians for being Palestinians
