@@aframaco9491 I get that but I'm not from Nigeria. I love white people for one thing, they are united unlike African people. We should have our own African Entertainment industry that incorporates all Africans. We should tell our own unique stories embracing each other.
See. When people say those who tell our stories wrong are "ignorant" I find it annoying. They are not ignorant. They have an agenda to keep showing Africa as beneath them. Like we say in Nigeria, we all know what we are doing. I hope Genevieve Nnaji starts churning out the stories they didn't allow her to tell.
It’s rather unfortunate we glorify Hollywood as a bed of roses but the pipeline entails a lot more than what are portrayed in front of the cameras. How about this: take out the ‘wood’ from the movie industries. I don’t think we understand the Hollywood in the first place.
That is the biggest issues with Hollywood, I am a script writer, give your script to a producer, they would CHANGES MOST of the wording to make it to suit their idea, so, actual, the Script is no longer yours.

@@isabellezionchipochaishe7103 you spoke my mind, and there were rumours the movie was considering nomination for oscars ( best foreign movie ), good thing it was not selected. Genny star power, just gave the movie a name.
To be honest, the movie was mediocre. I kept covering my face in shame and struggled to watch to the end. The actors tried, she had a good storyline but was poorly developed
The mere fact the you call your industry Nollywood can only make you a commodity. Being copy cats, flooding the film industry with subpar films and expecting to be treated with the at most respect is naive to say the least.
Copy cats of what? Do you watch original African movies or do you intentionally look out for the fakes, and then want to castigate the entire industry for it?
@@ladytamara1503Not copycats in the movies, but in the names. It would have been more authentic if we did not name our Industry nollywood. I love how iroko TV gave themselves that name. Let me get this straight, you went to Hollywood from Nigeria to change it's existing culture... lol. Who gave you that idea in the first place? Just curious.
If Africa Americans are mistreated in Hollywood why would an African expect them to treat her/him better? It’s impossible really.
