I find it ironic that Jose insists that Jose doesn’t have pronouns, only a name. This is an approach that some non-binary folks who don’t feel properly represented by any pronoun take, despite the fact that replacing all personal pronouns with names creates very clumsy sentences. However, I imagine that Jose would be shocked if Jose was addressed in the way that Jose requested.
Phony nonsense. People are not questioning using pronouns as they've always been used in English--"Jose is going to the store. He likes candy bars."---they're questioning the new strange trans orthodoxy on pronouns, which sounds much clumsier and non-grammatical----"Jose is going to the store. They like candy bars.".............come up with another weak argument that skirts the issue and creates a straw man. Thanks.
@@JK-br1mu "They" has been used as a pronoun for centuries. You could say "I really like Jose, and I think -they- are the best candidate for this area." There's no 'trans orthodoxy' (as if trans people are some monolithic group that all think the same) and while there are neo-pronouns which are absolutely clumsy, there's definitely not a consensus on those and they're in fact relatively controversial within trans spaces themselves.
But yes, if someone says they "don't have pronouns" and another person points out how silly that is, that's not a strawman, you're taking what they're saying at face value.
@@JK-br1mu That's the joke: Jose knows that 'pronouns are bad' but Jose evidently doesn't know what a pronoun actually is. Jose just knows that the libs want everyone to know their pronoun, and Jose is no dirty liberal, so Jose has no pronoun.

This isn't even on the level of "not speaking out against persecution", this is "cheering for persecution". These people will think they're somehow immune from being victims of such things.
What is wrong with people? Their common sense and humanity are gone. Remember "Mind your own business?" or, "If they're not hurting anyone, who cares?" How about, "People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones!" Or the infamous, " Democracy is fragile, we can lose it with one vote."
I don't know. If it's made out of bullet proof or even gorilla glass then go ahead and throw those stones. 😁

If your gender ideology would stop indoctrinating children into believing they should cut off their genitalia and to stop promoting an ideology that stands against basic biology and often slanders religion than maybe we would mind our own business but it’s a two way street.

The culture wars are a perfect symbol and example for the political polarization and political debate, which not just the US, but other countries (like Brazil) are facing.

I went to uni in Florida back in the '90s.
I visited last year. People seem polarized, aggressive, and loony - quick to escalate.

As a woman who has been with the same woman for over 15 years, we just got married, last month 🥰 & a floridian, as well ... My stomach turns watching these people and their downright bigotry towards the LGBT + community!
We should all agree to leave the kids alone ..

If CRT is taught in your public schools, consider yourself lucky. It means teachers are no longer having to “teach to the test” required for the ever dwindling federal and state funding. Your kid will be doing graduate degree work in a high school classroom.
More and more "conservative" seems to mean 'indoctrinating my children' and 'I don't want to learn about things that make me uncomfortable' ( Because I was indoctrinated as a child).
This is it right here. They’re trying to limit knowledge which is a huge problem. People can only grow if the knowledge is available and character is what you chose. Nobody has to “promote” what they don’t like or care about, but we should not be suppressing anyone. They’re suppressing language in school that doesn’t threaten anyone, and they’re calling it safety. We can take it to the Supreme Court and we should.

If this happened in the UK, would my kids able to talk to their friends that they have two dads, or when they talk about families in class, would they be able to draw a picture of their family, would I be able to come to parents evenings, or pick my kids up? Because none of that is relevant to learning math, language, science, and civics. It is not the role of the government to teach about homosexuality. You have every right as a homosexual to attend parents' evenings at school and nobody's stopping you. If you feel uncomfortable about it, that's on you and how you feel about your homosexuality, not the other parents. It is not appropriate to teach kids about genital mutilation and gender dysphoria. None of that nonsense should be a subject brought into the curriculum in any school district.

Since now that Florida has to pay more workers and have more regulation systems in order to make sure that Disney is keeping their parks and hotels and more at a high standard for safety.

Teaching a 5 year old that a girl can be a boy and boy can be a girl follows no logic in what we understand in pediatric psychology this far but teaching a child to respect EVERYONE and show kindness to EVERYONE starts as soon as possible.

What these "anti anything not in the majority" folks fail to understand is that "cis" or "straight" is equally a "gender identity" "orientation" discussion- did the authors of this bill intend to forbid discussions about Husbands & Wives, Moms & Dad's, brothers & sisters, etc..? Because the way it's written, a case can (& will) be made....

This is further evidence that conservative politics and stupidity will always go hand in hand. If you are confused and frightened by things that deviate from the norm, and want to see those things suppressed, then conservative politicians will be there to speak for you.
The problem is that too many people fall for it.
