I just want to tell you how much I am thoroughly enjoying your channel. I actually subscribed the last video. I was originally watching because I was interested in your camper shell renovation but you are very personable unlike so many of these UA-camrs that are trying so hard to just be Uber cool. And I'm really enjoying your minimalist style of camping and unironic use of really awesome 70s and 80s style music. I'm looking forward to seeing what else you're going to do. 👍
Your tacos look great. I can almost smell them! I just love your personality and the videos you show us. Thank you for the beautiful scenery. Drive safe. Keep safe. God bless!😘🌮👍
Taco's looked great. Check out the inverted method for Aeropress coffee. Super easy and IMO makes a better cup. Can't wait to see more on the camper as well.
Love the food you cooked up. Defitnely going to copy those recipes!!! I would recommend a coleman instant tent so u can hang out inside it during the day. Also recommend a steering wheel club lock for extra insurance!! We love watching your videos Jonathan!!
lol Him leaning back on a chair in the desert made me subscribe. There's something about getting comfy in weird places outdoors makes me feel good even when its other people doing it.
Totally LOVE fish tacos bcuz my fav n it looks delicious!🥰 Good job cooking, cleaning n building the fire. Wonderful memories of bonfires on the beach. OMGosh! Your Chilaquiles dish looks amazing n probably better than a restaurant bcuz made with love. Great job!😍 Enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing.
Bummed to see you veering away from plant life, it’s why I was stoked to watch your vids in the first place. I know you’re totally allowed to eat whatever you want, but it would be great to understand what made you switch back; especially considering you made a transition vid last year. No worries though, as long as you’re doing your best mate. ✌🏽🌱
Wow Jonathan, I have to say that was a super good looking fish taco. I am impressed. I sorta thought the amount of jalapenos you put on them would send you into orbit, but you didn't seem phased. LOL
Now, I’m craving chilaquiles. Need to go buy some sauce & corn tortillas. Lol Great videos. I’m laying in bed binge watching. Have to say you have a great & supportive girlfriend & her family.
1st time watching an it was enjoyable. I like forestry forest and you are now on my list of favorites. I camp alot bought a redcamp 10 inch fire box. That I use for my campfires compact wood last for a long time an I use the stuff I can pick up of the ground you should check it out. Best little firebox out there in my opinion.
Nice! I can’t believe you ate all that food oh my goodness. That would’ve been at least three to 4 meals for me. I love your editing and your personality on your show. Great job from A fellow camper - Tammy
those werent cast iron pans the cowboys carried in their saddle bags, they were carbon steel pans which was way lighter to carry and easier on both man and horse
You didn't tell us the results of your test. How much was the Jackery drained? What did you have plugged into it over night? Did it take 2 folded panels or one to charge it up, how long did it take? What are the specs on your Jackery? I've actually wanted to get something bigger for my sailboat, I saw the crowd funding on the Bluetti AC200 which is 2000W/1700Wh Capacity with a Surge of 4800W but they run around $7K, little too rich for my blood.
I will be posting a video specifically about the Jackery on Sunday. It should answer all of those questions! The Jackery is not quite as powerful but it’s a beast for a fraction of that price.
I imagine he'll shower at the Joshua Tree campground he's headed to, as to what to do in the desert, #1 is obvious for a guy and #2 is probably a trowel and hole in the ground since his background is in backpacking/trail hiking.
Kudos to drinking hazy IPAs. There was a point in my life when I enjoyed IPAs but after awhile, I moved on because it was too hoppy for my taste. After my trip to Portland last year, I came across really good hazy ipas and since then, I've been on the hunt for good hazy IPAs. Hows the golden road one? I haven't tried it yet.
Hazy IPA’s are Lazy IPA’s. A huge step in the brewing process is removed to make these hipster beers. Damn you millennials for making them popular. #diehazyipasdie
So I am going to be converting my chevy avalanche truck into a truck camper. I just need to find a shell for it. Very excited. How do you find all these great places to visit? I love being out in the middle of nowhere.
The trick with cast iron is to rinse it off with HOT water, soak it in the water if needed, then just scrape off with a spatula. No soap! Always cook in oil or grease and don't add food until the pan is HOT.
For those of y'all who are wondering, the truck camper renovation will resume this upcoming week!
New subscriber here from the Philippines.. Waiting for you truck camper renovation part 7.. Keepsake out there! 😉

i just think you need to do this at least once in your life. It must feel amazing camping in such a isolated place.
Cool video and delicious food. I love cooking with cast-iron skillets. Safe travels!
Cast irons are the best. Cheers!
Yum! Good food and a comfy bed in my Jeep and I can put up with all the deprivations of camping! Love it!

Good food choices. Me, I was eating a bag of M&M's. It would be cool if you unloaded a KTM 450 and roosted some trails
It took some effort but was worth it! If I had a ktm 450 I would have definitely whipped it out and ripped around haha
Thanks for the vid, 🍻 to good food!!
cheers!
Hello, what do you do for the bathroom and shower? This is the one thing that holds me back from doing this.
Let me offer you a clue: shit like a bear and no shower for days. That’s the downside.
I imagine he'll shower at the Joshua Tree campground he's headed to, as to what to do in the desert, #1 is obvious for a guy and #2 is probably a trowel and hole in the ground since his background is in backpacking/trail hiking.
@@cato451 lol 🤣 thanks

I love hazy IPA’s. Golden road makes a few, this one was tasty! I also like Modern Times Hazy’s

Enjoy your copious amounts of carbs while you’re young and can walk it off 🤣 I saw all those tortillas and almost went into a diabetic coma, ha ha.
Nice life you have:)
Where are the coordinates to that place?? I’m in salton sea regularly and have been looking for places like that
Cool man🤙
Love the music, I shout the same way when I drink an AeroPress.
What is that hot water kettle I see you use all the time?
Yeah I need a spot with water that way I have something to do besides looking at dirt all day need to camp where u can fish
That's my city 🤙
It's an awesome city.
Hiiiiiiii John😎yep I’m still here 🙋🏽♀️so let’s roll 🚐😀
Hey! Can you show me how to have wifi in your truck
Hope you remodeling on your camper is going along fine, too. Safe travels
That breakfast scene and music reminds me of The Chef movie.
Cool!
Nice Food Vlog, Everything looked excellent. what was that you ran over on the way out?
Sunfair Dry Lake.
The trick with cast iron is to rinse it off with HOT water, soak it in the water if needed, then just scrape off with a spatula. No soap! Always cook in oil or grease and don't add food until the pan is HOT.
Good points!
Where's the Camper for the truck? Nice Camping.....
I believe he’s still working on it.
Yes, still working on it. Took a little break.
I might be looking for a truck camper for my 2015 Tacoma. Hope to see your camper install ready for camping so I can find one too.
how do you lock the truck from the inside?
Haven’t figured that out yet. I’ve seen videos where they use vice grips but that’s with a different style shell than mine.
Half expecting a slug to go through the canopy at some point.
Don't forget THAT lime 🍋!!! (I know, that's a lemon 😂)
Isn't it strange that there's no lime emoji??
Super strange. 🤔
Where is your camper?
Why were you in such a rush to get out there boondocking?
To test the solar panels
What happened to the vanbuild
Are you eating on depression glass? Hah dope.
What happen to the rv camper shell thing you had. I thought you Where renovating it?
The camper renovation costs money, I'm sure he's just taking a break and turning a dime here or there to finance it.
Freeeedddooommm!
El Pato makes any dish better!
All that for a half cup of coffee yep your a sharp one
you should save the oil--reuse it
Sometimes your music is so groovy. Reminds me of Bewitched.
Did I miss something in one of your earlier videos.......... where the heck is your slide-in truck camper?
Check out his 1st comment in this video.
