Can the sensor be exposed to a small neodymium magnet without damaging it. If so will the sensor react any different long term as an after effect of the exposure to a magnet. If magnets are not an issue is the sensors range in distance the same if exposed to a magnetized object vs a non-magnetized objuect... Just wondering how it plays with magnets...
Sir, please provide detail wiring diagram of the entire connection please. I want to build one for my son's project. The power supply wiring to the coil, sensor, resistor, transistor in detail. Appreciate your help.
Thank you for this great video. This helped me test the sensor on my forklift. It is used for steering position.
Thank you for the explanation had the last part of the video It was really great.
thanks bro. for the all videos you shared
You are a life saver, sir.
What is the use of it . I know to detect metalic stuff but what kind of projects can i use it for ?
Do you have Professional circuit diagram of proximity sensor interfaced with microcontroller using optocoupler ?
what is the best voltage to use for a sensor that is rated 6 to 36v
So the aluminum has a negative inductance at 16 and iron has a positive at 19 from 18. I assume it works for water?

thank you very much for sharing the code with circuit

my sesor is always on and when it detect a metal it goes low is it possible to make it reversed like only voltage when there is a metal ?
You forgot a resistor tot limit the basecurrent in the npn transistor. You could use anything from 1k tot 10k but never 0ohm!
Gold leaf electroscope can be changed by a battery or capacitor? If possible please provide a demonstration.
So it only detects metal objects? How about plastic, hands, etc?
very informative!
I have an inductive sensor 164-6097 I want to connect to a VDO Tachometer 02 063 003 running a 12v in put does any body have a wiring diagram Thanks
A very interesting device. Thoroughly surprised I never heard of it. Might need one now! haha
can we give it power supply of 9v 5amp...or ampere should be less then 300mA??
I sense an tachometer on its way; prony brake next; then measuring a Stirling engine's power output.
