VIGILUS DEFIANT PART 1 A simple presentation of the Campaign at Vigilus Designed as a background piece, possibly to be considered as a project or sleeping aid.
Dear Gentle listeners, This is a simple read through of the Vigilus Defiant scenario and confrontation. It has nothing in the way of visuals and is designed for hobbying support or potentially as a bedtime story. Hence it is designed to be relaxing. It is a type of video I would like feedback on. It does NOT herald a change in our overall style and presentation. It is a run I will do while I harbour more of tale telling abilities, as the amount of stories a week was getting a little tough to maintain and the concern of running out became a bit of a millstone that actually became a self fulfilling prophecy. So these will come out as and when, but will certainly not replace our usual bouncy and more aggressive style of videos. But do say if you feel it is worthwhile doing. But do know that 'I just want more stories' will mean I have to reduce videos as the present amount is not sustainable if I wish to gain the time to make our Friday/Saturday night videos what I wish them to be. Please do your stories. I've been really getting back into 40K for a while and your voice is a balm when insomnia strikes. There are several people like you who tell wonderful stories, but most of them are simply retelling the lore wear as your own stories fill out and expand so much in this vast universe. That said I love the way you present this information . It really helps those of us cannot afford the books etc with background and gives me ideas for some campaigns I want to run with my friends.
I love how battles in 40k can never be between just two factions, there’s always more contenders ready to fight. Like an imperial guard vs Dark Eldar battle escalates to a dawn of war level campaign in moments.
Well the Eldar need humanity to live but not to thrive or we will forever claim their place, tyranid feed on human so it need to eliminate it's rival which is chaos and to the orks, any fight is a good fight three ways or not. More factions just make the fight more fun for the orks

Vigilus the 40K royal rumble! Once again you have out done yourself as THE narrator of the Grim Dark, if you keep raising the bar we will need Storm Hawks to keep up!
Perhaps one of the most important campaign for the Imperium, and perhaps one of the highlights of the efficiency of the Primaris Space Marines. The mere fact that the campaign was fought by almost every single faction of the Galaxy, and vital importance to travel to the Dark Imperium. The Battle for this singular world even brought the attention of the Warmaster of Chaos to this place, but with great strength of our glorious Imperium we fought back all our enemies and secure this warp travel.
Well, it may not be fast enough for everyone, but they are churning out some corkers. I can only hope that Cadia exploding means we get a whole new line of guard. Fingers crossed.
@@baldermort if there's any time for the guard to get new toys it's now considering they are humanity's most numerous army's and the new piece of equipment would greatly benefit them On a side note they have released a 12-inch tall Cadian officer action figure made by green wolf Studios so I guess that sort of counts in a third-party kind of way

As I, along with many others in your comments, have already shared - a soothing voice on sleepless nights is part of what keeps us coming back. I haven't finished the video yet, as I'm writing this 10 minutes after you pinned your comment, so this is just based on our past conversations and shared experience as well as your concerns expressed in that pinned comment and in the opening. I will edit my comment with full feedback after I've finished watching. The more options you have available to you in terms of style and format, the less likely it is that you'll burn out. So whatever you can do to keep yourself engaged in your craft and satisfied with its quality sounds good to me.

Picked a hell of a time to do this Uncle Baldy, about to start painting ten Tactical, five Assault, and five Devastator models. All built using Deathwatch legs to make them true-scale.

I have to say I listen to these when I am falling to sleep and it's very calming. Sadly I dont get any dreams of the battles or meeting legends of the 40k universe
I just realized something when I clicked this video. Making titles or names, are really not that hard, you just need to mix two or three words you find appealing and mix them from one another. Thanks for this enlightenment baldy, now I can finally name some of my characters and places in my books

I love the idea of you presenting the metaplot scenarios. It's a highly enjoyable way to keep current. My only issue with it is that GW isn't cutting you a check for doing it. My dream: every rulebook comes with a code you redeem on the website. It lets you access the ebook version and audio excerpts read by Baldermort.

I just realized something when I clicked this video. Making titles or names, are really not that hard, you just need to mix two or three words you find appealing and mix them from one another. Thanks for this enlightenment baldy, now I can finally name some of my characters and places in my books
