one thing about this movie that was not really mentioned is the character of skar king, while he isnt as threatening as ghidorah who is still the best villain in this monsterverse so far imo, skar king is still an effective villain, simply because he represents the worst parts of humanity. greed, cruelty, tyranny, torture, slavery, murder, etc. he is kinda like the monsterverse version of hitler. also, i think gxk did a great job of showcasing godzilla's intellect. i didnt noticed at first, but he actually absorbed solar energy, and perhaps the most powerful energy that is found on earth, and what a great strategy because shimu is an ice titan. as a result, he was able to withstand shimu's ice frostbite, almost easily, he broke out of that ice like nothing happened. he knew what he was doing the entire time, and it seems like he has been preparing to do those things incase someone like skar king comes back. given his history with skar king you would understand why he felt the need to power up.
I agree with you totally on all counts. Skar King is a great villain. Once we learn that Godzilla can hear the signal and he knows where it's coming from ... his intelligence level for me goes way up. He knows exactly who he is dealing with and what he's going to need to do to combat Skar and save the world. He isn't messing around... so he goes after whatever power he needs to stop the monster who almost beat him last time. Great comment. Thanks!!
I heard by all reviews this really Kong story and his character arc Kong is the main character my favorite legendary monster movies are Kong Skull Island and Godzilla 2014 love the tag match Kong and Godzilla battle Skar King and Shimo
definitely have to see this in the dolby cinema with the recliner seats ! i didnt really care for the human story, what i really wanted was giant monsters fighting and we got exactly that
Dolby Cinemas are my favorite. They boost the film experience so much ... and the recliners are the best. I like the way you think!!! Yeah, I didn't really care as much about the people. It wasn't their movie. I did love seeing the monsters and their perspectives in the film. That was cool.

Yes, I agree. This is mostly Kong's story. We get a really nice look into who he is and what he wants. 🤎
