Miyazaki said that the dlc will be the size of limgrave, which I already huge. Miyazaki is also the person who said that Elden ring would take about 30 hours to beat so it’s safe to assume the game will be the size of dark souls most likely bigger. Plus it’s adding 8 new weapon categories over 10 new bosses, tons of area and new lore. Its price point is more than enough for what is essentially Elden ring 2

Uh there aren’t any reviews out for the dlc because it’s not out yet so not sure where you’re getting 10/10 reviews from. Also I’ve only played Elden ring never played any other fromsoft games and don’t really plan to at the moment but I’ve done so many playthrough with different characters more than any other game I’ve played. It’s a good game but I wouldn’t say I’m a frimsoft fanboy. I’m excited for the dlc but I haven’t pre ordered it because I want to see a bit more info even though I’m likely going to get it. I don’t think anyone who preordered is a shill they’re just excited to explore more of a really fun game. I’m guessing you have a short attention span because yes two years is a long time for a dlc compared to other games Ive and probably you have played but fromsoft is apparently known for taking time on their projects so a two year dlc is likely going to be worth all forty bucks compared to a cheap season pass from blizzard or bungie. Since the release of the trailer. I haven’t even seen any “overhype” for the DLC. I’ve seen breakdown videos, and analysis videos, and theory videos, but no overhype ones. I don’t know if it’s my algorithm or what, but what I do know is that this dude needs a hug. While I agree with some of the stuff you said you're saying you are thinking critically but only one thing was to do with the gameplay. It seems like you just hate the fanbase more than anything. I personally think Dark Souls 3 is better than Elden Ring and I also think that with the information with have about the DLC the price seems like quite a lot. But banning people because they have different opinions isn't critical thinking because that creates an echo chamber where you can't open your mind up to anything. What I got from watching this video was mostly you flaming FromSoft fans (which alotta of them are meatriders for FromSoft I cant deny) but this video covered little of the DLC and more about the fact that it took 2 years for them to release a gameplay trailer (which yes, is not much, and it shouldn't be receiving the amount of praise it has gotten since it isn't even out yet)
"These are literally rip-off's of dragon's dogma bosses" is one of the points that were just said upon a whim without much basis (since I haven't played dragon's dogma I dont have much of a say, but I am curious as to how it is a rip-off, could you go into more detail upon this?)
Saying you would rather play Dark Souls 2 instead of Elden Ring is a bit of a stretch though, since Elden ring in my opinion is a better game, but Dark souls 1 and 3 are better overall still.

I was disapointed over trajler too but I dont care how long It takes to make DLC I would be happy even if they make DLC to a game thats 10y old . And you said that bosses are ripp from Dragons Dogma because I playd that game and I didnt see nothing comparable . ( Sorry for my bad english :D)

@@carlossssssss5492 Objectively the trajler was excellent. But I was expecting them to outdo themselves, that what they show will be better than what was already in other games. But for me they didn't show any bosses that caught my eye in terms of design like Midir, Lady Maria , Artorias etc. no armor or weapon also didnt caught my eye in the trailer (design/artistically). And the only thing that caught my eye is the corrupted world tree. I know everything I mentioned is a personal problem.

Hey so honest question did you play elden ring for a good portion of time cause while yes some people will like it and hate it I could say the same thing for live service games like destiny 2 where the base game is "regular" but the "expansion" packs cost 15 which isn't alot but in a year we get another one for the same price so i'd say it's fair btw didn't preorder but still excited for it👍

I concur that if any gaming site gives a review after just a trailer, that they do not deserve recognition, but how is that Miyazaki’s fault? Do you believe he paid them? Did Bandai Namco pay to have the dlc hyped? What I find a little comical is how FromSoft out of nowhere gave a 24 hour notice, and said “hey, we’re going to drop a trailer.” They did not utilize an award show with a big stage. They did not sell out. Instead, they said to the fans, if you’d like to watch our latest Elden Ring trailer, it will be released tomorrow. I also find it interesting that you’re upset or in disbelief that it’s taken 2 years. Miyazaki doesn’t rush anything. When things are rushed it generally turns out cookie cutter. I enjoy FromSoft games more than any other developer. I’m 43 and have been gaming since the mid 80’s. I enjoyed Elden Ring, not as much as Demon’s or Dark Souls, but it was a wonderfully crafted adventure. If Miyazaki needed 2 years to build a 60 gig dlc, then that’s what it took. Who are we to deduce how long it should take? It’s not our game. It’s not our creation. It doesn’t belong to us. If the $40 price tag is too high, I’d simply say I spent more than $40 tonight for a few beers, a sandwich and bowl of chili. I’ll shit that out tomorrow… when the DLC arrives, I’m sure I’ll get many more hours of enjoyment out of it for less than a dinner with some friends and family. Finally, I’ll end with this. You speak of journalism, but haven’t proven yourself to be a journalist. Am I missing where you provide us with a well thought journalistic analysis of why this dlc isn’t worth $40?

I will say the DLC trailer really was bland and absolutely nothing stood out. As I feared within my gut Miquella as hyped up as he was turned out to be so expected and generic of a boss design wise, so much so its really hurts to watch the cracks start forming with fromsoftware as a company.

Bro💀 I heard absolutely zero argument for like 90% of this video. Elden Ring is not perfect but it is absolutely a great game, it’s not soulless. And the trailer was not bad. Sure, we had to wait a while, but SotE will almost certainly be amazing, Miyazaki has a pretty damn good track record. And no one is going to take you seriously insulting people, accusing them of “malding,” etc. It doesn’t help your case at all.

Cash grabs and inflated prices on games IS an epidemic, this is true. However in THIS case, it's legitimately worth every red cent. This isn't coming from just a blind fan-boy. Shadow of the Erdtree is 60 GB in size. It is an expansion that is equal in size to the base game, filled with tons of new weapons, gear, spells, etc. That can be carried in to the base game, pvp, and so on.

I'm in the middle of my first Elden Ring playthrough and it's incredible. Withcher 3 was my favorite action RPG until now, and I'm barely a third of the way through. So I strongly disagree with this take.
