Aspiring web dev here, I've begun to dabble a bit with APIs, package managers, and Node.js and have ultimately found this overview on Node js very useful.
I have been working on Server side Java(Spring) application for 5years. And In Go for past 3 years. Just got interested into Javascript. Your tutorials were a great starting point.
Take Aways: Earlier JavaScript runs only on browers, each browser have their respective JS Engine like Google have V8, Internet Explorer have chakra, 1st JS Engine is SpiderMonkey, in order to run js in server side we need to create environment for that, that can be done by NodeJS(Node js is not a framework it's a environment to run js on servers). Express.js is a development framework for js, just like java have spring and python have Django frameworks. Thank me if it helps.
