I had my husband build me a new, much larger window box on our front porch. So far so good! Yours looks amazing. You have a good eye for garden design and it's a pleasure to watch your videos.
Mic implosion aside😂, the quality of your videos and the lighting just keeps getting better and better. Just wanted you to know that your hard work is noticed and appreciated!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
love, love, love it - and I too am over the moon for the peachy keen verbena - it was the perfect addition for a little 'PoP' ... looking forward to seeing it in a couple of weeks !!!
Hey Erin, I love your videos and I appreciate all of your tips. I'm in 5b and scattered poppy seeds this winter (a few weeks after you). I was weeding yesterday and found some poppy seedlings. I'm so excited!!! I never would have known to do that. Thank you!!
Thank you for spreading the word about going peat free! I struggle with that as a container gardener and none of my local IGCs stock peat free potting mixes. That window box is going to be spectacular!
Love the window box and especially the blue petunias and peachy keen verbena! And your pagoda dogwoods in the containers in that last shot look fabulous! I have a new, tiny Golden Shadows variety that I’m nurturing along until it’s big enough to plant out in the ground. Yours give me hope that it will grow up and be beautiful. Thanks, Erin!
I am always excited to see what you do with this window box. I feel like you have such an artistic and imaginative approach in your planting style and I just love it. Your house and gardens evoke a fairytale vibe that draws our attention in. Will look forward to seeing its progress.
I just love window boxes! I agree with you on the color of those lavender bluish petunias - amazing. Nice split screen for viewing the actual installation of plants!
Oh so pretty. It looks like a natural wild flower field, but in a window box, love it. I'm a new-ish subscriber, and this is the first time I've seen your beautiful front door... the archway and hanging light, plus the door color, all so inviting. Thank for a great video! 💚
Its and "outside my color zone" year for me too. Normally im a deep red, white and blues kind of gal. This year almost everything is in the purples, white and baby pinks. Thats the joy of gardening, you can mix it up and explore.
Love your window box! We have stone on the front of our house, my husband says we can't install one. Boo! After viewing your beautiful purple bell vine I had to grow it and had success! I put the 4 plants on each end of my white trellis in my back yard garden. Can't wait for the beauty to start crawling.
Oh my word! I am in love with the Blue Petunias!! I can not wait to see how they grow. They are on my list for next year if they do well. I'm also off to go discover what the deal is with Peat? I have always used a peat mix, but I'm open to change if there is an issue for the environment .
I love the color of the petunia with the wedgewood angelonia! I picked some of the angelonia up awhile ago but I may need more. It does well with our humidity.
So exciting when it’s time to plant up the big displays, love it! I have purple bell vine in 3 different part sun containers- I’m keeping everything crossed for a good show🤞
Enjoy your videos and style so much❣️ window box is going to be lovely! Do you have to worry about chiggers? when I saw you sitting in the grass that’s the first thing that came into my mind. 🙃😉
Never seen your house from this angle before it’s gorgeous! Now I have a better idea how it all goes together and looks amazing. I love those sky blue petunias I’ll be on the hunt for them! Beautiful job as usual Erin.
I'm in love w that periwinkle blue color too! I wish I could have a car that exact color... not a blue car, but a periwinkle color. Well, here's to dreaming! 🥂
Erin, my purple bell vine did not germinate either, and nobody around here carries the plants, or at least I haven't found them. I love that Sky Blue' Wave petunia. It's a refreshing change from the lavender ones that the tags say are blue. I hope the nurseries around here carry them next year. Thanks for the great tips on planting up a window box. I may have to invest in a couple of them next season. ~Margie
I was able to get some of the Purple bell vine started but some died after being potted up. I do have 3 that have survived but as you said they are just sitting there even though we've been in the 90's so I still have hope that they will do it for me. I had never heard of them until watching your videos. Love your info that you share with all of us!
Because of you I started purple bell vine from seed! They’re doing well, so far lots of runners. Mine are in the ground with lots of stakes & fishing line to climb. Hopefully they’ll be a success! Hello from New Jersey 👋
At the end of the video, you have a beautiful tree in a planter! Due to HOA restrictions on what to plant, this may be a beautiful solution! Can you tell us about the best trees for container planting and care tips? Love the window boxes!
What were to 2 trees in the pots behind you at the end; they are beautiful! Looking forward to seeing the window box fill in and of course the Dahliahs! Im blaming my new obsession with them on you. LOL Love all you do, keep it coming :)
Hey Erin I was wondering when you would do your window box.I loved it last year and this year will be awesome.I love the combination of flowers your using.
You inspired me to try purple bell vine out. Those seeds were ridiculously tiny. I got 7 viable vines and gave 3 to my sisters. Here's are virtually sitting still. Mine are planted and climbing a metal trellis. Those blooms are pretty naughty until they fully open. 😜 We all get some good chuckles from it.
I am having some success with purple bell vine seeds in a winter sow set up, but in late late spring. I just started it a month ago or less, but the germination rate was better and faster than in my hot humid grow box inside.
Wonderful video Erin! Thank you! Would you mind sharing where you purchased the large pots that are in the circle garden behind you? The large ones with the boxwoods. Thank you!
Really love your plant combinations- especially the Angelonia! I discovered it last year and added it (pink. white and lavender) to almost all of my containers! It just looks beautiful all during the summer. I tried to winter sow it this year but no germination- but Proven Winner varieties are phenomenal. Thanks for the expert advice on window box sizing.
I love blue and white for summer containers. It looks cool and anything that hints at coolness in the hot days of summer is welcome. I guess I should consider myself lucky that I got three purple bell vine plants from my sowing effort. Planting on your recommendation. Can’t wait to see how it performs. I also tried asarina. Only got one plant so less successful.
Your window boxes are always just beautiful, have you thought about using corbels to help hold up a deeper box.? Love to hear you've been peat free, I've been seeing a lot about that on the UK garden shows and channels here.
I typically go for bright bright colors for my annuals, but something about that sky blue petunia is just calling to me! Hopefully I can find some next year.
I plant for customers commercially. For our window boxes we use a huge amount of Soil Moist mixed in the bottom 1 inch of soil. Helps keep the plants with great water source until we can get there to water.
I try to carry a plant or 2 through my containers, too. Most of my garden is shades of pink/purple/yellow but this year I was enamored with a deep orange sunpatien with a purple center. I underplanted it with purple callibracoa so I hope it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.
I love your window box designs every year. Who makes the window box that you have? Twelve years is an amazing life of a window box is why I ask. I’m trying to figure out how to add some to my house but I have weird brick tilted ledges under my really tall windows. I used to not plant white plants because of the way some age badly but I really like how certain white plants brighten an area. Thanks
I got it from Hooks and Lattices. It's made from composite "wood." There's some staining on the top edge that I can't seem to get rid of but you can't see it from the ground and the plants will cover it soon anyway.
Sorry about your bad luck with the purple bell vine! You showed them in a previous video and I really liked them so I took a chance and bought some seeds. This was the first time I’ve ever grown seeds inside, I have very little space and very poor light but I guess beginners luck was on my side because they germinated!!! I have seven little vines and I’m trying to figure out where I’m going to plant them. (I also grew Datura and Cup and Saucer vine successfully; Canary Vine never germinated ☹️)! I really enjoy your videos and the great content they contain.
I think that window box is going to look gorgeous.
Hi it’s Isobel here, .......just to say your window box will be amazing......... LOVE IT 😍
I love that sky blue petunia! And the peach really does add a pop of color-looks great! ☺️
I had my husband build me a new, much larger window box on our front porch. So far so good! Yours looks amazing. You have a good eye for garden design and it's a pleasure to watch your videos.
the peach color just made everything else pop! cannot wait to get that blue next year
The flower choices is absolutely gorgeous! Love it! 🥰💥🤩👏👏👏👏👏🌳💐🌿🌺
Mic implosion aside😂, the quality of your videos and the lighting just keeps getting better and better. Just wanted you to know that your hard work is noticed and appreciated!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Will be excited to see how your window box looks in a few weeks! I bet it’s going to be beautiful ❤️
love, love, love it - and I too am over the moon for the peachy keen verbena - it was the perfect addition for a little 'PoP' ... looking forward to seeing it in a couple of weeks !!!

The Easy Wave Petunia color looks just like my Rose of Sharon.

It turned out so beautiful. I have this color scheme and even some of the same plants in my window box. Great minds, once again. 😆😆
Love this and the music.
Lovely window box design Erin! Videography and editing was A1.
So glad you made this video. My idea for a window box was way off. Especially the size I had in mind. You just saved me! Thanks!
I love that combo, Erin. Can’t wait to see how it progresses through the summer ☀️ 💐
Oh so pretty. It looks like a natural wild flower field, but in a window box, love it. I'm a new-ish subscriber, and this is the first time I've seen your beautiful front door... the archway and hanging light, plus the door color, all so inviting. Thank for a great video! 💚

Can’t wait to see what it becomes!💚🙃
Absolutely stunning! I can’t wait to see it all fill in!

Love the window box. I was one of those who tried purple bell vine this year. I actually have growth now! We’ll see what happens. Fingers crossed. 🌱
Love the color combination! Looking forward to seeing this grow!
Love it. Can’t wait to see the new planter.
That’s up next (assuming the audio on that one is tolerable; I filmed it right after this one.)
Can’t wait to see how this turns out
I love this combination! So pretty! And I'm the same way, it's SO hard to repeat plants in containers because I want to grow all. the. things!
The peachy keen verbena is my favorite annual too, just love all the shades of peach in it!
NICE plant selection! This will be fun to keep tabs on.😀💚
So exciting when it’s time to plant up the big displays, love it! I have purple bell vine in 3 different part sun containers- I’m keeping everything crossed for a good show🤞

Overshot camera positioning!!! Amazing work for this video. Be damn the wind...it was pure dedication!

I was in a very purple and blue mood this year. It happens.

I love your window box designs! I did an 'Erin' box this year and added a trellised vine on one end and a spiller on the other.
great inspiration, thank you
What were to 2 trees in the pots behind you at the end; they are beautiful!
Looking forward to seeing the window box fill in and of course the Dahliahs! Im blaming my new obsession with them on you. LOL Love all you do, keep it coming :)
Hello Holly,

II LOVE WINDOW BOXES!!!!!!!!

I put Soil Moist in all my containers. It helps here in hot Alabama in the summer.

Hello Beth,

We need a final shot of the box!!! I wanted to see it when you got done planting😩 I’m headed to Instagram fingers crossed there’s a picture there 😝😬😬
Good advice

i came today with purple scaevola and other white things from local tiny garden center...again lol!!

It's going to be glorious! I don't buy peat products either.
