Traffic is another primary reason which I’ve observed for mileage drop. On long express way drives I’ve extracted 17-18km throughout the journey with ease around 90-100km speed. The variant you’ve shortlisted is a good one. You’ll be satisfied with that purchase. The engine packs a good punch and Auto transmission is smooth and thrilling specially when that torque kicks in. Mileage won’t be good since you won’t be able to resist to hit that acceleration. But don’t let that falter your decision. Do go for it by all means. I myself was planning to buy 2019 AT Ecosport. But I was getting it around 7-8L 1st owner which was beyond my budget. 33k seems less driven. Do validate the same and check for car conditions.

See if you can convert yourself with extended warranty and anything additionally related to turbo charger. Only time will tell how many cases of Turbocharger maintenance and faults come up over a span of 3-5 yrs
reliabilty of naturally aspirated engine is definitely higher than turbocharged one. but if you follow the guide lines as per manual during start up and before turn off engine after a long trip, the life of turbo charger can be increased. the turbo GDI engine requires maintenance after aprox. 50000 kilometers (probably) because the intake valves can be clogged resulting in engine performance and fuel economy. if you are concerned about reliability then brezza bs 6 would be the ideal choice.

2015-2017 model has a DCT. It's a good powertrain but buy it only if you are getting a steal deal. Otherwise just buy Esosport diesel and enjoy the sheer driving experience

Then you can buy petrol automatic. The 2015 ecosport will have a DSG gearbox. No major issues reported so far. If you can compromise a bit on the mileage then petrol automatic is a wonderful choice . It will give you maximum driving comfort and pleasure

Both are totally different, older 2013-2017 ecosport petrol was 4 cylinder engine and dct automatic gearbox.....2018-2021 model was 3 cylinder engine with torque converter gearbox.....
If you want a comfortable, smooth experience and want to enjoy the true automatic plus driving pleasure, go for ecosport.. there is nothing that can match the 6 speed AT. If you want more space, a better and softer ride quality and if you are okay with a slightly less refined engine go for Nexon.. you will save almost 1-1.5 lakh if you buy nexon

Yes, the Trend plus model is discontinued. Titanium plus model is significantly costly and is not value for money. Further the petrol AT delivers lower mileage- 9-10kmpl in city and 12-13kmpl on highway under regular driving conditions. There are two variants Titanium plus and titanium. Titanium variant doesnt have sunroof, 6 airbags, automatic head lamps and rain sensing wipers, central cup holder in back seat ,auto dimming IRVM and less funkier alloy wheels. I will not suggest nexon petrol automatic as it has lesser power, same is the case with XUV 300. Venue has DCT dry clutch which has heating issues. Its engine gets heated up when you are struck in long traffic jams. Hence , it will tKe away your pleasure as engine will get off when heated to a certain limit. Brezza is not safe hence not recommended. I can also suggeat you to go for diesel nexon automatic as its safe feature loaded with great mileage. Otherwise in petrol only ecosport. I have both automatic titanium plus ecosport and nexon diesel automatic XMA.
Your concern about the brakes is not wrong.. on applying the brakes directly at high speeds you feel that the bite us not strong enough and the vehicle will not stop at the destined point. It's quite true. But still the ECS and EBD kicks in and manages to stop the vehicle pretty much well... The solution to this problem is to engage the ENGINE BRAKING SWITCH on the gear shift knob when you need strong braking. *Remember to disengage the engine braking switch once you have achieved the braking objective.

I just got the VW Taigun GT plus and even that gives me slightly better mileage than my ecosport (but that is probably due to cylinder deactivation technology). This car is not for anyone who cares about mileage. Stay away.
Yes.. that is very true... Under city driving conditions and if you have 5 people on board it will deliver only 9-10kmpl. The milage test I have done is under controlled test condition with only 1 person on board, A/C set at 24-26 deg celcius, during night hours when ambient temp is cold, and with very light foot on accelerator and speeds between 70-80 kmph.
I have 2019 titanium plus automatic and in Bangalore City I get close to 11 on highway it will return close to 16-17 if you keep rpm under 2-2.2k. EcoSport is a heavy and powerful vehicle do not except mileage it's only for drive enthusiastic people. Buy with eyes closed if you want to enjoy driving.

You are right. The mileage depends on the driving pattern. Under regular driving conditions I get 7-8 kmpl in city and 13-14 kmpl on highway.
Don't go for automatic. DCT is major problem:, ford is not rectifying it. Gear shift is very jerky at times.
