And another quick hack that keeps you motivated to declutter is the things that you wear if you will turn the hanger the wrong way the hooks towards you That will tell you that those are the things that you wear regularly on a daily basis. If you have not worn things within 6 months, they will be hanging properly like you normally hang close with the hook facing the inside of the closet. It just makes it easier to declutter the things that you don't wear on a regular basis.

I'm getting ready to do the same thing Getting ready to clean out my closet today.
If you have special shirts etc you could collect them then have a t shirt quilt made for each of your children. We did that with my husbands shirts for our son . We gave it to him at Christmas and he immediately wrapped in it and sleeps with it every night.
I just did my closet a couple days ago. I’m proud of myself for letting so much go. ❤

I been working outside all day washing my porch down and getting rid of trash and decluttering the stuff on my porch and this coming week I will be decluttering in my house and hoping I can get it videoed to upload it trying to get my channel up and going bc you have giving me the inspiration I needed❤ so thank you❤
Hey Ashley, Happy Thursday. I feel the same way about clothes, it’s hard to part ways with some of them. However I know I need to get rid of the clothes that no longer fits me and that I can make new memories with new clothes. Also it helps when I know someone else can enjoy the item. ❤ I just realized I should have watched this video this weekend because you’re giving me inspiration to go through my clothes that I didn’t have before. 😂❤ I’m going to take my clothes to my church’s thrift store which is only 5 minutes away from my home. ❤ I’m glad you had a great anniversary with your husband and you enjoyed some alone time together at a great restaurant. ❤
Please take any donations to women shelters/ men shelters/ teen mom shelters not goodwill or drop boxes. I’ve noticed a lot of people raid them drop boxes and even workers at Goodwill will take the good stuff and take them to flea markets or resell them on eBay or Poshmark type places.
I try to tame the closet clutter every once in a while. I enjoy doing it and finding things I thought I'd lost. I think the best thing I bought was my tank top organizer from Amazon. I think the original use for it is belts.
Girl, I need your ability to declutter!! I keep getting rid of little bits, but still holding onto things I cannot use or wear! I guess it’s a guilt thing and also a wishing mindset of fitting back into my size smalls again! Lol

My suggestion would be to look up your local women's domestic violence shelter and donate clothing. My sister works at one named Within Reach and sometimes the women have to leave a situation with just the clothes on their back.

I decided to put all my workout tanks and tips into a bin in our closet because 1. It would help me have a limit to how many i could keep and 2. I hate hangingnup clothes. Lol!
Hi Ashley I know I have a few clothes I can declutter out of my closet since my hernias and hysterectomy I can’t stand button up pants of any kind I like my leggings my tummy is extremely sensitive now to certain make of clothing too,your closest will feel so much better after it’s done and your feel so much lighter too and your anxiety level will go down I know sometimes messes can be overwhelming I know it overwhelms me.

One of the things that I do whenever I shop and get new clothing. I will always take and get rid of the same amount of clothing. That I bring in, I will either save it for a yard sale or donate. And it keeps down the clutter. So if I do this right at the moment that I bring in new clothing. It will keep down your declutter. And you will not have to worry about trying to do this all at 1 time. So if your intentions are to save for a yard sale or donate? I would immediately put in a box or bag and set aside.

One thing make me wondering - why your husband keeps house cold when you don’t like it? Actually I am pretty sure you spend more time home than he.. my husband wears just pants in winter because he is too hot, but I like being cozy and warm, so our home is always warm

I’m going to have to look to see if the churches around here have them! I haven’t noticed but maybe they aren’t bright pink like the other ones are !
@@ashleyforbes ours is like little small trailers that you like would hook up to your truck and some have the little side-by-side drop off boxes which are usually blue but I’ve noticed that a lot of the churches around here. Usually the Methodist churches are putting them in their parking lots off to the side.
You surely have a nice closet. Hopefully you kept the stuff that you wanted to keep. You are pretty in your leggings too. Hopefully you have been doing well.
